First grow ever. The goal here is to learn everything I can in preparation for the setup I will be putting together in the near future. I popped 3 blue berry autos but only 2 of the 3 made it and once they showed above soil they were just not healthy looking. I Called Growers Choice and they are sending replacement seeds and honoring the warranty!
I mixed my own soil with
Kellog Organics outdoor potting soil
Blood meal
Bone meal
Worm castings
30% perlite
Fish emulsions
Peat moss
Composted cow manure
Its a little woody and the PH is high. Im hitting it with ph 6 water to bring it down. Fingers crossed
@Phildeeznutz Hi mate check this link out it has natural remedies for lowering the ph in soil https://www.wikihow.com/Lower-Soil-pH Hope to have answered your Question and Happy Growing
Second week just waiting. No nutes except the foiler fed liquid seaweed. Watered with Recharge to help with root development and the microbial development of the soil.
Day 15 - She is growing really slow. Started her on 1/4 strength micro and bloom to see if that might kick start something. Pictures of other 15 day olds are much much bigger and further along. There is little hope for the second plant. It's way worse. It looks like a 5 day old. The goal here is to learn and wait for my real setup. I wont be mixing my own soil next time.
Week 3. Just playing the waiting game. I drilled a few more holes in the bottom of the 5 gallon buckets. Water is not draining well enough which is what I think is causing the slow growth.
Drilled even more holes in the very bottom of the 5 gallon buckets to promote more drainage. Looks like she may have slight nutrient burn from the 1/4 nutes I have been giving her and the nutes that I amended the soil with. I'm going to back off until flower.
Day 27 - drilling the holes helped along with allowing more time between waterings. The better plant is growing nicely now and there may be hope yet.
