-Green algae was really starting to show itself and lots of green over the perlite.
-The leaves don't seem to be forming particularly well and don't seem to have a solid plan. Some parts are looking a little wilted, if that's the right word? They are getting plenty of outdoor wind/air flow. Definitely enough to keep mold at bay, but given that the coco isn't super dry and the plastic pot doesn't allow as much air flow as the rest of the fabric pots, and the algae formation, it is time to significantly lessen up the watering until it really dries up.
-Took some metal tweezers and stabbed the holes on the bottom to give the coco a little better drainage and air flow to help dry things up a bit
-Scraped the top .5"/1.25cm of the coco and perlite to try to break up the algae, to have the greenest parts facing down into the pot so it could get less light, and also get some more air to the top on the substrate to help things dry up a bit and have some more oxygen. I'm not sure how much or if at all the algae is affecting the roots, but hopefully I can keep it at bay.
@ElevatedNoob, Thanks, you too! The first seed didn't pop, but the 2nd one has sprouted a tiny bit, so I will take a look at it tomorrow and hopefully it's long enough to plant! 👌
@Pointlessmike, Cool, thanks! It's going to be in a very small pot and will be a challenge if the sun keeps on hiding like it has been for weeks. No more space inside the tent. Hope yours goes good too!
