When growing auto flowering plants how do you decided when and which leaves to defoliate since it grows so quickly and you want to get the most volume out of your plants?

@Regulator It's generally not a good idea to stress autos in any way whatsoever as it will slow down the growth thus reducing yields. The only defoliation I would recommend is in the 2nd week of flowering you can remove some of the larger fan leaves to let more air and light in and around the growing buds. Other more experienced growers may tell you to top your plants but they are experienced at this and I would advise you to atleast grow one or two plants normally before attempting this so you can get a feel for what the plants require from day to day. Once you have completed a harvest or two by all means experiment with more advanced techniques like mainlining etc Hope this answers your question and happy growing mate

Love my Bloomspect light. What nutrients do people use? Looking at some fox farms products. It’s been a smooth grow so far. Plant is growing great and keeping pace with expectations.

Just rolling into week 3. Been keeping the current run of plants outside during the day and inside at night with some additional light. First time trying this so we will see how it goes.

What nutrients do you use to get the best root growth during vegetation? Do you continue with the same nutrients during flowering or do you change? What brand have you found to work best?

There's no real wrong answer here , lot's of companies offer a wide variety of root boosting agents . Personally I like Advanced Nutrients Voodoo Juice and Piranha . These 2 products used in combination allow for multiple benefits to your plants but the main one is root boosting . Study's have shown that these 2 used in combination in the first 4 weeks of your plants life will boost your root production by nearly 800% with some other great benefits as well , but just the root boosting abilities alone make the products worth it . You don't have to use them in combination to get great results either . One or the other will do just fine or if you can use both then I highly suggest doing that . First 4 weeks of your plants life then first 2 weeks of flower and you will see quite the difference , your root mass will be quite robust and what I like to call muscle-y haha . These are just some of the products out on the market that will do what your looking for . There are tons and tons and tons on the market so do your research before you buy one this way you know what your getting. Remember that bigger the root bigger the fruit in our case flowers :D . I hope this information serves you well on your quest for knowledge ! Happy Growing !

Things are going well so far, hoping to see some explosive growth soon with the use of nutrients but we will have to wait and see. It’s getting cold here at night so I have been begging outside during the day and running the light at night.

The plant is doing well but I’m about to go on a week long vacation and I’m not sure how it will do outside or under the light during that time. So I have to make a choice about what to do.

Well I left town for almost two weeks so this girl has been severely neglected to say the least. Due to low light and stress she is already starting to flower so we are going to run with it and see what happens. Tiny nuggets for a day

So far this has just been a crazy grow. Soil issues. Had to leave town for almost two weeks in the middle of the grow so watering wasn’t perfect. Grew this outdoor for a while then inside once the days became too short. Always learning though.

So far so good. The plant is small and only has a few budding points but it smells delicious and is looking great. The buds are starting to get sticky and the hairs are turning nice and orange.

Overall this was a wild grow. Had some ups and downs, trial and error, but at the end of the day I learned a lot and I’m going to keep on trying new things. Wish the solo cup challenge was still going on I totally would have won.
