9/4 (6) clones taken from Acid Dough "C" mother at flower day 49. I want to experiment and compare with the last set of flowering clones that just moved to the flowering DWC. First change is my clone DWC. I removed the drain pump and secured the air lines to the underside of the lid. I also moved the drip manifold and pump to one end. I will keep the better looking clones out of the two adjacent positions. I am also going to eliminate the 48 hours of dark and put them right into the humidity dome under the lights.
9/8 still perky and green.
9/11 had a suggestion on my other diary they said to take these comments with a grain of salt as they don't grow DWC. They suggested the cuttings should not be moved to the DWC until the roots have grown outside the rockwool cubes. I feel an experiment about to begin! So I took the smallest cutting and put it in the DWC then put the next smallest one in the humidity dome then the next smallest one in the DWC and so on. I have the 3 in the DWC on the side closest the door and when the 3 in the dome pop roots I will put them into the 3 slots away from the door and on October the 9th when I choose 2 to put in flower we will compare roots for the ladies.
9/18 roots have broken through the rockwool on the 3 in the dome. I lifted the smallest clone from the DWC to feed them and its roots are outside the net pot. But I will reserve judgment for October 9th when I move 2 to the flowering DWC. However, it doesn't appear that the ones left in the dome have much chance.
9/21 Cleaned up the leaves.
The original smooth edge reveg growth is giving way to the standard serrated edge growth, as they grow the single serrated leaves will become multi fingered like normal.
The two choice plants should be going into flower this week. However, one of the original Acid Doughs has not finished flowering. I will leave them in the veg state until I figure out how to get them in the other tent!
Proper leaves are replacing the twisted mangled smooth edged leaves on both clones.
Treated the lst’d branch with 100ppm gibberellic Acid to (hopefully) induce male flowers.
Beginning of week 2 of flower. Branching and growth are great!
Increased nitrogen boost to 1ml/gallon plants were looking pale.
11/4 still looks a bit pale, increased nitrogen boost to 1.4 ml/gallon. Moved the lights and got some great shots!
Beginning of week 3 of flower. Should be nearing the end of the stretch but if she can give just a little more we will get the screen full! Should be a great week will add more pics!
As those who follow my diaries you know I’ve been plagued by bronze spots yellow leaves and burnt tips. @b4rns has suggested that I have magnesium deficiency and the House and Garden representative was inclined to agree. So I have defoliated leaves that were more than about 40% affected.
Beginning week 5 of flower. Added top Booster this week will switch to Top Shooter next week and begin decreasing bases while increasing Bud-XL.
11/21 added better photos.
The smell in the tent is amazing. I accidentally brushed against a cola and several hours later I rubbed that area and it smelled like pineapple!
Won’t be much longer!!!! Probably harvest the 23rd.
Would like to see a few amber Trichs before harvest day but I don’t think she has much longer. New calyx’s are still forming on the buds. I will keep watching and when either I find an amber Trich or at the first sign of sugar leaf browning I will begin flushing.
12/14 sugar leaves are beginning to die at the tips added pHd flush water 180ppm in.
12/15 changed flush water 260ppm out 180ppm in. Plan to harvest on day 105 (Monday 12/18).
Plan to harvest tomorrow at day 105 from cutting. Buds look tight. Smell is overpowering 2 6” carbon filters clean the air during flowering. 2 6” and 1 4” carbon filters are used during drying (learned from previous grows) the outlet of the 4” feeds into the flowering tent. This also is 1 of 3 active intakes on the flowering tent. The other 2 are the output from the dehumidifier and the output from the little veg tent. Exhaust enters a 6” carbon filter located in close proximity and higher than the hps. The output of air from that filter feeds into the hps enclosure. The warm air is then routed to the air conditioners compressor cooling input. The hot exhaust from the air conditioners compressor exits the tent and feeds into the 2 temperature controlled 6” duct fans which are then routed to the other 6” carbon filter. Fairly complicated HVAC but it provides for nearly unlimited environment control.
Acid Dough grows vigorously during vegative and early flowering stretch. The aroma is strong so strong that the only words we could use were strong, pungent, herbal. My past grows were not so intense in smell but I’ve run these a lot cooler in flowering. It’s also worth noting that the clone mother from seed took about 13 weeks to mature, the clones taken at 3 weeks of flowering took about 11 weeks and these, which were cloned at 7 weeks of flower took only 8 weeks.
I have a 1000w hps and (4) 135w LEDs (1580w) in my flower tent. When conditions permit a plant spends its first 3-5 weeks of flowering under the hps (usually 600 sometimes 1000w) then the last 2-7 weeks are spent below the LEDs as they have UVB which increases the occurrence of the trichromes. I’ve never seen so many Trichs on a sativa! I list the entire 1580w as used in flowering.
Since these smell so much more intense than their predecessors I should wait until they dry and cure some. Thanks for following along. Ok they have had some time to cure, still pungent but with a tropical undertones. The high is soaring and energetic it took me 20 min to smoke half a joint cause I forgot I was holding it. That half joint buzz ran for 4 hours!
Every time I speak to House and garden it seems they save me money. They said that since their nutrients will not create the salt buildup the other nutrients do that I do not need to empty my reservoir and refill it once a week he said I am wasting precious nutrients I should instead change it every say 3 to 4 weeks or at the appropriate growth stages (end of: veg, stretch, mid flower) since at these times I am changing the supplements!!!!! Woohoo @housegarden.
@goarilla, thanks!!! The roots from the cuttings left in the humidity dome are indeed much better than the ones moved to early into the DWC!!!!! Thanks again for the suggestion you rock!
1/8/18 Been a month and still cannot describe the smell as much other than pungent (not at all in a bad way). I still cannot smoke a whole joint in one sitting (almost 35y experience). I hope you understood how rare that is. Think Tommy Chong.
Looking darn good after some serious monster cropping you did there buddy. I haven't seen clones bounce back from being cut from a flowering mother in quite some time. These are getting back into their strut nicely Taz, great job :D
Dude that's so awesome I have a little Re-veg/ monster crop project I'm working on just practicing I haven't done a diary on it remind me I'll show you some pics on Kik
@biggreens420, The single fingered leaves are part of the revegging process. They will return to normal multi finger leaves as they grow just as the other set has. This is known as monster cropping because the plants that result are monsters with a monstrosity of branches.
@Tazard1, just had a look Bro looking good. I was talking about the single fingerd leaves iv never seen it before y did u take the clones in flower is it just an experiment
@biggreens420, they are clones that were taken during the eighth week of flower from a flowering plant. If you zoom you can still see the buds. I have another set that are 4 weeks older than these and in their 4th week of flower. If you look at that diary you will see that as they grow they will produce many branches (I tried counting them and couldn't keep it straight) I am training them with a little scrog I made from bamboo. Check it out!
@CAMOGROWN, no, since they were monster (flowering) clones they take 4 weeks to root and begin growing vegatively again. So I only grew them for like 2-3 weeks.
