I started these girls June 8. Won't be documenting too much until they start flowering.
Some yellowing, some leaf twisting. These were just under fluorescent lights the last 5 weeks and were not pH watered. Definitely not the best care up until this point.
They are now placed into 4" rockwool cubes sitting on a flood tray. My veg station and flowering flood buckets get the same water, pH and ppm nutes. In fact for simplicity they are fed from the same exact reservoir.
They were just toppled so that I can get some clones of these girls ASAP.
These girls will start the pampering process now because I want strong healthy clones.
Nothing new to report. Sitting on a flood table getting the same feed as the vegging tent. Hopefully these will take off in the next few weeks. Need to clone before flowering
Nothing new to report. Plants are on autopilot for 2 weeks while I go for Holidays. We will see how they progress in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned and stay lifted!
Was in a motorcycle accident. Sorry for the missed updates. This is a shot taken after taking clones of all the plants.
Updates should continue reg ilk now
The veg tent is doing what it does.. Veg. I've taken clones but due to the lack of a heat mat, they are taking much longer with less success.
May have to take new clones again before the next run
Almost all the clones are ready. About 10 have been placed into rockwool. Decided I should make sure clone counts and tent layout. In order to keep a nice even canopy, I've decided to go with young clones verses older mothers that I could flip quickly.
85% of the clones have roots out of the rockwool cubes. Now that the flowering tent is empty, I have put the well rooted clones into their final homes, 5gal ebb and flow flood buckets. I have been flipping my plants to early to get the yields I hope for. Now that these plants are in there areas I will make sure these girls have big root structures and ~30 tops per net. I'm guessing 2-3 more weeks.
I've finally planted all of the pots. I have used two of the older moms so that I could start to get established roots. Hopefully in a week or two I should be able to flip the lights
Blue Gelato 41 is currently occupying 2/3 of the 4x4 area. It's growing very nicely. There was a hickup with cloning and a delay on one of the versions. It happens to be holding up flowering for the whole tent.
I'll likely be giving the tent 7-14 more days as I want to have nice big girls.
Everything was trimmed back once. Looks like the final blue gelato is almost ready for the flip. In the video, it's the one around the 25sec mark that I zoomed in on.
Probably another trim and a flip in 3-5days.
I'm 4 days into flower.
Topped all the plants nice and even. Then removed all bud sites below the top 4 on each branch. Leaving fan leaves intact. I allowed them to recover for 2 days. Then flipped the lights.
Blue Gelato 41 has filled in 2/3 of the tent well. Big leaves are forming and they continue to reach.
Day 10 of flower. Blue Gelato 41 is on the right side of the tent. It occupies 6 pots in the outside rows.
The net is 40% through the 2nd trellis.
Unfortunately one of the smallest plants in the tent is a Blue Gelato. Other than that these plants show very indicia bud patterns.
I'm 18 days into flower and everything is moving as expects.
The screen with the blue gelato 41s is very dense. These plants in particular are slower growing and the nodes are very tight. The stretching away from the main stem is very little. This makes for a very tight structure. We'll see if it fits my grow style. Only time will tell.
Changed out the nutes. Dropped the calmag and the Silica. Using just the Plant Prod MJ bloom.
The Blue Gelato 41 is hard to tell. Lots of the plants are below the second trellis. The one that sits above looks. Like will have a big cola. I should have prunes slightly more, but noted for next time.
I can't see the very back pheno of the blue Gelato 41,but I'm not impressed so far. There is a lot of bulking to do, compared to other strains in the tent. These are set to finish Dec 26th. Hopefully they start stacking asap
Started the final week of nutrients. Then ill be switching to flawless finish and pure water the last week.
The blue gelato big cola is finally starting to stack up. It has only one more week of nutrients, so hopefully it stacks quick.. Then a 1week flawless finish and a week of straight 100ppm water.
Its finally the final flushing week. These have 3 more days of straight water, thenn a couple days of no water to dry out the roots.
Blue Gelato 41 is huge but tge colas aren't solid. The smell is like nothing I've ever smelled from weed, like chicken noidle soup base.
Just don't know what to say. Love Barney's Farm but all 3 versions of this plant did not meet the standards i prefer. I will not be growing again. Did not even like the taste or high.
Plants did not have a great smell, in fact one smelled like chicken noodle soup. Did not really enjoy any of the variations tastes.
Will not be growing again.
