Grow Questions

New leaf tips are twisting slightly also a slight nitrogen deficiency or so I think bottom leaves turning yellow and falling off. My question is does the leaves twist due to nitrogen or some other reason if so what would cause it

Your just past mid flower I would guess. Your humidity is fine for the temperature and stage of flower. The issue with the upper leaves is the start of light burn just back off your lights.(Buy a PAR meter to test how strong your lights are at different distances) You can see also some premature drying of the pistils on the bud from too much heat being given off by the light but it looks like you caught it in time. Loosing lower older fan leaves is perfectly normal so don't be concerned feed low nitrogen ,medium phosphorus high potassium to bulk up those buds over the next few weeks. You can also try using 1 tablespoon of black strap molasses per gallon of water a week you may need to correct the ph of the solution. It may help improve the terpene production and enhance your nutrient regime. In the last few weeks of flower try to keep your temperature under 80 F and lower your humidity to 40% or less if possible. Then flush with plain water for 10- 14 days to remove excess nutes from your soil to improve the final product. Hope this helps you out.👍

Hi @Kokotokes! Well that's why we usually don't grow 2 plants in the same container. One is in a lockout scenario, the other is in a toxicity scenario, both suffered from a hot soil / too much nutrients. At this stage there's not much you can do but to flush with pH'd water, do not harvest until the buds are fully mature, just try to get rid of the old nutrients in the medium so the plants can finish properly. Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information, happy growing! 👊

@garaging, yes I flushed her and she looks better already and yea so far it's a great plant theres really no need for lst except for main branch just to even out light but overall lower branches spread out to reach close to top but not quite there

@DILLIGAF, yes I believe my issue was to many plants in one pot causing root problems

So what is the plan right now? You going to flush it? I wish I had some knowledge to lend you, but I am currently screwing up my first grow over here. I saw that you didn't have any comments, and I know that it is frustrating so I thought I would say hi. Hi! I think I am gonna give the Northern Lights from seedsman a go in a few days myself so I will check back in and root you on! Heh, root.

@Stick, yea I learned the hard way now I got 3 gallon pots to hold 1 plant for future. There was 2 many differences in the 2 even tho they same strain. Just curious could u guess how much longer I got one has all red hairs except new hairs clear trichs with a sweet lovely smell while the other plant pistils are white but trichs are mainly milky/clear no smell what so ever other then plant

twisting leaves is a sign of your ph being off. trust me ive had it happen numerous times before i learned how to properly water using cocopeat. nowadays my phing has become a little bit lax so sometimes i still see the beginnings of twists and thats my sign to get my watering back in gear and start being more accurate in phing my nutrients. and what i mean by getting lax is instead of using my actual Bluelab ph pen i use the test strips because its quicker and in the long run cheaper than constantly using the ph pen and spending money on the calibration solutions and storage liquid

Hi Kokotokes, I think on this grow you have committed every mistake a grower usually makes over several grows in one go, which is probably good as you won't do that again. I couldn't see what concentration of nutrients you use. You have very strong LED lights so I would tend to back them off and look at what the ladies are doing if the leaves sort of look like they are reaching up then drop the light down a couple of inches. Its always about what the ladies look like to what you do. I never tend to get brown tips as I usually under feed the nutrients slightly as they say too much is toxic too little makes them hungry better to have a hungry lady. You definitely can grow so your next grow should be spot on.👍

I'm hoping the small one will be done in 2 weeks but also wanting it to get more weight on it.
