Just getting started. Second time growing this autoflower. Third time growing anything. (I grew a photo period "Papaya" strain for my first plant; but after growing my first autoflower, I just ordered a bunch of new auto seeds. Will be working through 3 diaries soon.

This one has about ten times the foilage area of my other two plants which are currently little stems with tiny leaves. They are only a couple of days behind this one, so I am thinking it's probably largely genetic.

I went ahead and fimmed her a few days ago. First time attempting anything like that, so we'll see how it goes goes. This strain is so hearty; it's a pleasure to watch it grow. It seems like every time I peek, she has grown a little more.

Growing up big and strong. Itching to smoke this one already, but I know I have to wait. Some of the leaves are a little damaged by the intake fan. Moved things around to help minimize the damage.

I guess the defoiling I did last week didn't slow this girl down much. Some of the leaves are still taking a bit of wind damage from the intake fan. I wish there was a way to turn it down a little.

Flowers everywhere! I can see the colas starting to form. A few more weeks and this will be ready to harvest. One of the things I love about this strain is how fast it grows.

Starting to get that gorgeous blue color in the foilage. Another week or two and she will be ready to harvest. Can't wait to have some good medicine.

So I think my next update will be the harvest, but I don't trust myself because I am dying to smoke some non-reg. Lol. So, I am asking you all: Is she ready? I see mostly cloudy trichomes with a few ambers. I prefer more cerebral/less couch lock (doesn't that mean I should harvest sooner rather than later? Thought I read that somewhere (or heard it from a good friend)). Anyway, I tried to get some good pictures. What do you think? Is she ready?

If nothing else, I love how quickly this one grows. We took a small branch a few days ago just to make sure it was ready. The smoke is cerebral and fun. Three plants were/are growing in this space, so some of the calculations might be off as far as lighting and square footage, etc.

I really enjoyed keeping a diary here. Gave me something to look forward to when I had my diary to update. I didn't really have any problems. I am not super experienced at this, just put the seed in the dirt and gave it light and water. She needs a bit of defoiling on a regular basis. The plant is super hardy, and grows to maturity very quickly.

I think she is ready for fimming. This Blue Mystic is a hearty one. I think it can take it.

I'm constantly thinking the larger number is the temperature. Lol. And I sure hope this is a better crop. I used a pot that was way too small for my first two grows. Now I have 5 gallon fabric pots and I think I am going to top these.

How often are you watering ?

@Savedby420,hi sorry , I try and reply to everyone , I must have missed the first one , right watering - when they are little you must let them dry out , I water every 3-4 days , I fill until there is runoff , I then take the weight of the pot , and pick it up every day until it feels light , this takes a bit of practice If you leave them too long without water they start to droop , this is easily fixable - as they get bigger you will feel the pot , they really dont need more than every other day unless they are huge plants in little pots or there is a high temperature or big breeze .

@BigDaddyK, good to know. My first two grows I used a self-watering pot with a reservoir because I was terrified of watering too much or too little. I have been responsible for the death of many houseplants in my life, so I wanted to idiot-proof the process as much as possible. Unfortunately, my self-watering pot was too small. So now I have to figure it out on my own. How do you decide when and how much to water them?

It's better to have a thirsty plant than a drowned plant. Err on the side of too little water when you're in soil. Switch to coco and it gets easier. ;)

Normally the third crop is always better than the first 2.
