GreenGrowGreen I want to say, BIG THANK YOU! to Royal Queen Seeds who have helped me with my first and second grows (all RQS)! I wanted to grow a new strain I got from them (Kali Dog), this time, but I already chose Barney as a change... This is my first time growing Barney's Farm genetics. If I had a larger grow room I would be doing at least 3 different strains! but...I can only do one at a time, so here it goes!
So far, I lost a seed :( I germinated it perfectly, but the head of the seedling (the first two leaves) got stuck in some shell embryo like covering (the shell had already fallen off). That made her fall over day 1. So I gently rubbed the filmy covering off, and supported her with a tooth pick. Day 2 she seemed fine! But then........ I accidently dropped my lazer gun thermometer on the pot, which sent the soil and the baby plant turned over completely undone...everything....knowing she was fragile, and I struggled for that, and in a fit of rage, I just dumped it all in the trash... Stuck a new seed in water...then in a paper towel. The tail came out this morning, and she is in soil.... see you soon!
**update** my second seed died! Same symptoms. I still don't know if it was genetics or not...but I never had that happen.... The third, and last seed lives on...see you in week 2

GreenGrowGreen So, after the last two seedlings died, this last seed came out top so far. I grew the last two dead ones in old soil I had 3 months. I think there was a disease in it, I don't know because the retailer said it can last 12 months.... so I ordered new bag. The new soil worked...but I am still not sure if it was genetics or soil...
Any ways, she is growing great! The major difference for me this time is the smaller pot. Smartpot 15L. My others have been in 25L, and I am just trying to save size and be a little more descrete for living reasons (especially during watering).
This is my first Barney's Seed too, so let's see how it goes! Oh, I would to add that even in this small seedling stage, at the touch, her leaves SMELL dank!

GreenGrowGreen End of week 2 , starting Week 3. She has grown really fast! She reacts instantly to LST , lifting head back up and pushing new growth in just a few hours of being pulled down!
I have not started nute regime yet. I think end of this week I will start introducing nutes in week 4. So far a very healthy and happy grow :)
I am learning that less is more. I have stressed less. Used lesser strength soil. worry less about air flow and give the NECESSARY. The response has been so good, her nodes with just PH balanced water and light soilmix are FAT knuckle like structures connecting each branch! Such an elegent lady!

GreenGrowGreen to my surprise she had a fast half week growth spurt, it seemed every day she gaines 5CM or more! Then, she slowed down and started a small stretch, with, as you can see in photos (sorry grow lights on, more to come) is now in FLOWER!
Woah my last auto was a solid 4 weeks with almost double the vegitation output. I am only counting about 5 colas and several pistilis coming out calyx.
I started nutes both veg and flower, think I will just use floer next feed.
GreenGrowGreen So far so good. Such an easy plant. No maladies. Getting frosty. I can't stop repeating how amazed I am at how fast she flowered. She also responded immediatly to all LST so that now I took it all off and her branches are perfectly spaced out... just a piece of cake to work with!
Again, that said, she is small, and not going to net me much. But I think she is going to be the best quality nugs I have grown.

GreenGrowGreen She stinks sweet :) These are the best formed buds I have grown on my own. They have that pillowey look, super frosty, sticky....theres so much trich production, I have seen things I have never seen before like trichs growing on fan leaves touching it it... just droolling right now as I play the wait game. Only thing I have changed is the nute regime. I upped it 1ml, and upping again next feed.

GreenGrowGreen Day 1 : Week starting out good. No problems, nothing but positive growth. Trichs look 95% cloud covered, 5% or less clear or half cloudy, I think another week or two and we are done :) ...fingers crossed
Day 2: Took the trichs under the scope, looks mostly cloudy with a few clear heads. So I am giving her another week or two before chop. No nutes starting next feed (flush).
Day 3: PH only water , no nutes.
Day 4: Trichs looking mostly cloudy, a few clear, and a very few orange. I will probably cut down this weekend.
Positive:
+ Strong genetics that grew good in my simple set up. No diseases
+ The best looking buds I ever grew. They are sticky and covered in trichomes with that billowy round look.
+ Short grow time! Only 9 weeks TOTAL!
+ Responded very well to training (just 2 days, and she stayed in place)
Negatives:
- I lost two seedings out of 3
- She grew immediatly into flower, my journal says 3 weeks vegitave period, but that was an accident, I was noticing preflower leaves right at week 1. This leaves a shorter and less yielding plant
- Low yield.
Over all: I am feeling neutral on finished grow. Just a tad too small, very fast though and quick, and it takes a good cure to bring out her best.
A good plant to have growing for fun in a smaller pot tossed in the tent, I wouldn't mind growing again to see how another seed will do, but I lost the others to no germation so....THANK YOU BARNEY'S FOR GIVING ME MORE SEEDS AND WE WILL GROW STRAWBERRY LEMONADE TOGETHER NEXT BARNEY'S GROW!

GreenGrowGreen I was seeing mostly cloudy, few clear, and peppered in amber trichomes. I also have 95% or more orange hair covered. So I chopped her down today to dry. She is looking very very delicious. The odor is a sweet/dank like smell and strong (but not over powering). This was a very odd genetics. I lost two seedlings and this one sprouted immediatly into flower. She grew these wierd calayx nodes early on, that shot out little hairs and just never developped, it is a very odd growth, and all the signs of these oddities tell me that there is a quirky genetic BArney is using. I did research on forums and found a lot of people ran into these kinds of problems. So I don't feel alone.
I will update you all end of october when the curing should be done !=)
**Update 1**
Very sticky and frosty buds. 10 days dried, and into jars. I cut 2 branches early to puff on (fresh, vaping) and just puffing these underrefinef nugs have me chill. Hits hard. I think the final product will be niiiccceee. Will update in few weeks for final result
*** UPDATE 2 ***
I want to thank Barney's Farm for sending me some complementary seeds for this grow, and helping me get my hands on another product since I lost 2 seeds! THANK YOU!
*** UPDATE 3 ***
It is done drying and just curing so I slapped an empty jar on the scales, and slapped the bud jar on the scales and subtracted the two...not the most accurate way, but instead of taking all the weed out, it showed 1 ounce.
I tasted some not fully cured buds and there is for sure a lemony diesel kind of taste more citrus than diesel, and a kind of robust woody hints, will give final update on the high when she is done in about another week or so.
**** Update 4***
Tested some buds two weeks post cure. It's a super stoned effect. Very zombie like. I'm not too impressed with the psychadelic properties. It's calming. Stress killing. Great to listen to music with. Music unlocks a deep meditation state easy. But, the "trippy" effect is not there, I don't even feel time loss like I did with blue mystic under CFLs...
**** Last update****
So I'm three weeks in cure, and tasted the product. It hit hard! I was blood eye red. I had some pretty far out ideas. Total trip. Nice crescendo into body, then she gently let's you come around. No hard drop.
If you microdose , she has a powerful resurgence after a few hours, keeps you dosed feeling good with little bit. I recommend. But for sure in her femenized form.
Very good strain...super easy to grow 😉...You can almost let it grow by itself..and resin production top quality 👌..It cleans and heals well and you will see that satisfaction..good work 😊👍
