My second experience. Fast growing seeds

damm Hello to everyone, comerades! 😊 This is my second experience of growing cannabis and the first report. Before I had grown F2 auto hybrids in another box and got a success 😁 So I understand the process now, and this time I decided to be more prepared: I’ve made a new box with high-pressure sodium lamps and bought branded seeds with original genetics. First things first. Northern Express – indica/ruderalis by Fast Buds. As I’ve learned from the feedbacks, it’s a strong plant that doesn’t require any special growing skills, and I think it’s a good hybrid. So we’ll check it out 😉 Sure, the seeds are feminized auto flowers. I’m curious about its size and time of blossoming. I’m ready to get a big plant with durable blossom. My box: Main priorities: cheap and easy to make and adapt. So I decided to use MDF, and it is really easy to work with it. The material is soft, the size fits perfectly, it’s cheap and light. The only problem is that I had some troubles with the framing, as I have not experience in it. Ideas came to me in the process and I implemented them, so the frame looks a bit unprecise and slightly sloping, but its operability is ok))) Parameters: 60x60x120cm, about 0,35m2. Taking into account the height of pots and the distance to the lamp – it allows growing plants of 70-75cm high (optimally) and of 80-85cm (end to end). The box is optimized for 4-6 auto flowers or 2-3 regular plants. It’s painted white. Lightning: high-pressure sodium lamps 250 Philips Son-T 28000lm + ESL 6400 32W + one additional lamp 75W. Electromagnetic ballast + Ignitor Ein Hashofet are outside the box. I don’t have enough money for good ESL, so I took the ones I found at home. Afterwards I’ll replace them with 4x45W lamps and maybe make some deflectors for them. Ventilation is quite interesting. The lamp is inside the cool tube that is ventilated with a pair of 100 cubic meters per hour vents (cheap and cheerful), and it blows through the box. The lamp is fixed, so I can not move it up or down. In sum, we have a very short air track without bends, so the cool tube is warm, but it is ok – one can constantly warm hands. There is one more vent for air injection (the same for plants, as the flow is strong and seems like breeze inside the box) + two passive blowing in the ceiling made of plastic gears and metal air circuit. It is bended and doesn’t let the light in, but it blows out air. If it will be too hot in summer, I can set a cooler 100x100 into the reducer and make it active. So, we have delta temperature 3-5 degrees. I think it’s a great result. It’s not noisy, and it’s not typical for vents (I have chosen a more expensive model). I will use Morris Green universal soil. It delighted my friend and me. I’ll mix it with vermiculite and perlite, a drainage is crumbled foam. The pots are made of water cans of 8-8.5l. There are some drainage holes. Fertilizers are the following: Etisso for vega and flowers, Uniflor Micro, monophosphate and calcium nitrate + sulfate. I use humate Energen to stimulate growth and liquid vermicompost (all plants love it) as an additional supplement. That’s it. If you have any questions, ask. Time to start. Watering seeds (no photo, it’s too obvious). Seeds will germinate in cotton discs impregnated with a solution of Energen. I’ll plant them in two days, and I’ll write about it. Light schedule is 18/6 all the time. The first 7-10 days ESL, than I’ll turn on high-pressure sodium lamps. I’m not going to do bending – only if the leaves will be too many. I like natural look of the plant, so the difference in the result is not so important as an esthetic component. I’ll try to make the report as detailed as possible, learn something new, help the others and grow tasty cones 😃 So wish me luck, let’s do it! 😁 The third day: Hello! As I’d predicted, the seeds germinated and were planted in two days after germination. The soil was mixed with vermiculite and perlite (by eye) and was wetted with a light solution of potassium humate Energen. I’ve planted them to the depth of 3-4cm and powdered with loose soil. Lightning is going to be 18/6 till the end. Now there are 3 ESL 6400 32W. The plant is on the second shelf in 30cm from the lamp. When it gets bigger, I’ll put it closer – in 10cm from the lamp. I use cold white light is for better leaves gaining, improving branching (proven), and as a little drag to growing higher. In 10-14 days I’ll turn on high-pressure sodium lamps. I won’t feed them with fertilizers, I only use a light solution of Energen and after 10 days I’ll add a light solution of vermicompost. The day will start at about 18pm and end up at 12am. The night – from 12am to 18pm. Everything seems ok so far. 😉 When it germinates, I’ll post. Peace! 😄 The end of the week: Peace to everyone! So, here are my news: the plant has germinated, there are a couple of little leaves already. In 2-3 days I’ll put them closer to the lamp, at the end of this week I’ll turn on sodium lamps. The temperature is about 25-26 degrees. I spray plants 1-2 times a day when the soil gets dry.

damm Hi, friends! Everything is ok. The plants started to grow faster. Unfortunately, the previous week it didn’t grow at all. I started to water it with a light solution of vermicompost. It’s right under the lamps. The height is not pleasing, but it’s a result of a drag during the previous week. I haven’t turn on sodium lamps – it’s too early. Frankly , I worried about the plant – it was not growing without any reason. I’ve checked the soil, the water was good, enough lightning, the temperature – 25 degrees, I couldn’t understand, what was the problem. But at last it started growing 😃 Next week I’ll write again, I'm waiting for a bigger changes 😊

damm Peace everybody!😊 As I’d predicted, the last 6 days brought big changes – the little plant turned into a very cute little bush. So, it’s the first day with sodium lamps. (I turned them on almost an hour ago). The distance from the lamp is about 25 cm – I think I shouldn’t put it closer. I’ve set a computer cooler inside the box 120x120, 3A for additional air flow, it’s powered by adapter. I’ve bought this adapter with a view to (in theory) a few more coolers. The complete construction (including cool tube and blowing) is quite noisy, but when the door is closed I can barely hear it, so it’s allright. Watering: I water it with pure water or with a light solution of liquid vermicompost (3-4 times lighter than by instruction) every two days. Today I’ve added 0,5ml Uniflor Micro per a liter of solution.

damm Hello everyone! Another day, another dollar. The plant choses its sex – it’s a girl, it started growing like mad, up and broadways… I’ve put it right under the sodium lamp. (7-10cm from the cool tube). The plant becomes overgrown with green mass – there are many side branches and tiny leaves. I think it’s an impact of the combination of warm and cold lights 😊 Now I’ve already given it a first portion of fertilizers (yet for vegetation) Uniflor Micro, Red and Green Etisso and added some humus.

damm Aloha fellows! So, the plant is in full bloom. Now I feed it following the scheme: Watering once in 2-3 days with 500-700ml. The first time it's watering with fertilizers (Etisso+Micra). I give a compote for the blossom. The second time it's a solution of liquid vermicompost, the third time it's pure water. Sometimes I replace Etisso with a mixture of calcium nitrate and monophosphate. There are no troubles occurred – cones grow well, the central cola is great, and a light chocolate smell is in the air 😄 I got rid of the problem – curving lower leaves. Maybe it was related to the bad PH (last time I used haydite and fluid tight pots). As for the lightning I’ve replaced all the cold ESLs with warm ones of 55 and 30W. Now the plant enjoys the light of a 250W sodium lamp and 2x55W and 2x30W ESLs. The distance from the lamps is about 10-15cm. The temperature is 2-29 degrees. In my opinion, the cones need about 3-4 weeks: 2 weeks for growth and 1-2 weeks to get ready – to get filled and become firm. See you soon! 😊

damm Hello, growdiaries! My plant grows fast and pleases me every day. The great central cola, a healthy branchy plant with wonderful side colas. Cones are firm and keep getting better. You can see it on the pics. I water it the same way, alternating fertilizers (Etisso+Micra), a solution of liquid vermicompost and pure water. It’s clear that the time limits in the instruction were a bit incorrect. A bit – I mean almost two weeks, but it’s not new for me. I can sum up that the box works perfect, so the wounds on my hands from the tools I used while making it, are not in vain 👍 But I’m still not perfect 😔 I’ve made some errors, but now I know how to correct them (especially on the first stage of the process). For me this grow means getting more knowledge and experience, and the trial run of the box. Running ahead of the story I should say, that in the middle of February, as the plants cease flowering, you will get another report that will be very large and multi-faceted. damm Hello again! A little midline report: it appears that the plant should be cut in a week. For the last I decided to give it a knock-out doze of compote and growth hormones (gibberellin acid) named Buton. Now it’s the thickest plant I’ve ever grown. I’ve found some photos of my previous plants 😄😄😄 I’ll attach them in the end of the report to show the evolution of thoughts and results😎 To sum up: the height is 35 cm, the central cola is 23cm, side colas is approx. 6-7 cm. I’ll weight it after the drying. By the beginning of the next grow I’m going to upgrade my box. I’ll turn a passive blowing into active (photos below), as it gets warmer in April, and to add more air. See you soon!

damm Ola, comrades! The process comes up to its final: in a few days the bush will be cut off 😋. A week ago I thought that this plant had a thick cone, but now it’s even thicker and smells wonderful like honey 😊, I can not name it a resin. You can see this on the pic. P.S. By the next grow I’ll try to buy a macro lens to make quality photos 😊

damm What to say in conclusion? Thanks to growdiaries, to your attention, support and advice. Thanks to Fast Buds – they didn’t cock it up! The plant has an interesting genetics, I think it’s one of the best auto flowers! Box also turned out to be great: it works well without troubles while the delta is about 3-5 degrees. The idea to make it came to me after smoking pot for two weeks and watching Mythbusters, it was fun. But I reached new level as a grower. Soon I’m going to begin a new report, so follow me.
