CannaDeco Smoothie auto seed was soaked in a water/hydrogen peroxide mix for 24 hrs. After 24hrs, the tap root emerged from the seed and I placed it directly into the 3 gallon pot. We also placed another Smoothie seed in a Roots Riot cube under a small T5. We plan to move her into a 5 gallon pot next week. We hope to harvest these plants at the end of October, to serve as the last outdoor crop of the season.

CannaDeco This is the only Smoothie Auto that made it to the end of week 2. We planted 3 others, but the first seed was dug up by our dog (organic nutrient smell drives them nuts), the second never sprouted from the soil, and the third sprouted in a rapid rooter plug but fried after transplant to the air pot. We think the culprit might of been a mixture of heat and hot soil, so this strain definitely needs some TLC. We decided to save the last pack of seeds for next spring and cooler weather.
The surviving Smoothie is starting to pick up its pace of growth. Noticeable growth spurt within the last week and we’re going to attempt to train it for more bud sites. We’ll see how it responds to some bending and if stress is noticed we’ll back off and let it do it’s thing. Hoping for some decent buds since we had a bad run with so many of these seeds.

CannaDeco I’ve been letting Smoothie do her thing since the weather has been as high as 106 this past week (I move them so they only get direct Sun till 1pm those days). I don’t want to stunt her since she’s the only remaining of my original planting. I’d like to try this strain again in the Spring with cooler temperatures. No real issues, takes nutrients fine and seems to be loving life at the moment. No training or topping, I’ll just let her do her thing and take notes for a Spring grow.
