I Decided to defoliate the plant and also top it before adding the 400 watt M/H light for more light source. I have to air pumps running into the 5 gallon bucket and a water pump. It may be over kill but we'll see.

I am running the 600 watt LED with a 400 watt M/H in my 4 x 4 grow tent. The Gorilla Breath continues to grow short yet stout and bushy. I plan on letting the plant get a foot tall before I start flowering just to maximize potential yield.

Another successful week of grow after topping the plant a ridiculous amount of times to improve bud sites. I have 3 more weeks of veg before I start 12/12 for flowering.

After undergoing some massive topping and LST work, Humboldt's Gorilla Breath continues to take whatever I throw it's way. I added Great White to the Nutrients selection due to the Benny Bac's that help with root development and stability ( it says to use 1 scoop for a 10 Gallon res, So I just use a little less than half for 5 gallon to start off). The game plan is two more weeks of veg to allow the plant to rebound from the LST/Topping. A scrog net will be added at the end of week 9 to help improve light exposure to areas.

This week was a stress week for the plant considering I didn't allow it enough time from the initial topping/lst before I did it again. As a result, a couple of the newer tops had some slight nutrient burn. Also, my ppm meter shit the bed so my ppm maybe a little off, I've ordered another one so the next journal update will be more accurate.

We're finally coming to the end of week 10 with one more week of veg before starting the traditional 12/12 flowering schedule. As a plus for the week, my ppm meter finally arrived and the Gorilla Breath has truly made an amazing recovery from the previous training. Tent Updates: I replaced the small 300w led that I was using with a 400w HPS (currently running @ 50%). I decided to keep the 600 watt LED in the tent with the HPS... It might seem like overkill for one plant but I like growing a monster plant. Concerns: I think my plants getting a little out of hand, I want to scrog but... I'm a little lost how you would be able to change your buckets so I've got some research to do. I wish I hadn't have topped some much so it wasn't as thick and bushy so more light could penetrate through the canopy.

I decided to do one last big trim since this will be the last week of Veg before switching to the 12/12 light schedule. During the trim, I choose 10 of the best cuttings to turn into clones that are currently hanging out in the Oxy Clone. So Far, this is hands down the most forgiving plant that I've had the pleasure of growing. My ppm are still a little too high but it hasn't stressed the plant out, nor have I encountered any real nutrients burn or Ph fluctuations. One thing I'm starting to notice a little more is the smell coming from the tent once I unzip it in the morning. The plant smells like a slightly over cooked pop-tart in the morning. Other than that, I'm just excited to be finally heading to towards Flower so I can see what this plant can produce! Also, most of these pictures came out looking like Dick, I'm not sure whats going on with my camera but it'll be fixed by next time. Shouts out to all the growers!

Scrog net will be necessary down the road but I'd recommend to only install the net after week 1 of flower to allow the initial stretch then spread her out and let her grow up and over the net. Without a net your branches will be so heavy of amazing buds they will either snap or be leaning against the side walls of the tent or floor. You created a beast she'll need support lol. You can see in my strawberry lemonade what I'm referring to.

@@Colorado, looking forward to see this strain in full flower and read up on your smoke report.

@GreenHouseLab, Thanks for the helpful info. I'll definitely allow the plant to stretch for a week during the 12/12 before netting.

@@Colorado, I have upped my PH on week 3 flower. Now PH to 5.6. I wont let it get higher. I too had an issue with my PH metre. I did not realise that they need renewing after 365 uses. Last week my PH metre read 10. something, then went to 4. something all in a few minutes. Spoke to my hydro shop man and he explained. Glad all is going better for you. 👊🏼😎

@Puffer_Bill, Thanks! I decided to drop my ph a little like you recommended and things seem to be going well.

Go ahead and defoliate now and get rid of the little bud sites that won’t reach the top. You have a perfect sized tent for that plant, i wouldn’t worry too much on running out of vertical space. Like ccgrow said, applying the scrog net between 1-2weeks, it’ll help with the canopy a lot.

@Puffer_Bill, Thanks for the information, if my plant starts acting up any with signs of ph fluctuations, I'll fix the ph level to a lower range

@@Colorado, I do hydro and use clay balls. I think you are much the same. I used to run my PH at 5.8... now I am at 5.3 on advice of several growers. If your reading is accurate, then dont change it... as your plant looks happy. 👍🏼😎

@Puffer_Bill, thats what my Ph meter is saying currently, but I honestly need to get another ph meter to get a more accurate reading. The current one I have is on the fritz so I'll get another one by the end of the week to give a better reading
