First Grow

Germination went well. Planted seeds last night with plastic cups over the top to keep high humidity where it’s needed. Should be a couple days at least before there’s any breakthrough.

Blueberry going well, Think different a little behind. Not a problem to have on different schedules.

Replanted the Think Different and this has now sprouted with first set of “crinkled” leaves. Blueberry is looking good growing nicely. Think I will start LST in the next week.

Everything seems to be going well. LST has started on the Blackberry. The plant recovers very quickly and the lower colas are starting to reach upwards more. I cut 5 fan leaves to allow more light to reach them. Think Different is progressing well. Growth should be pretty explosive this week.

Everything seems to be going well with Blackberry. Keep raising the light as they grow to keep a good distance whilst also LST regularly. Think Different going strong. Looking forward to seeing how much she grows this week.

Blackberry is nicely in flower now, the LST has kept the main bud sites at equal heights. A bit of stretching this week but more to come. Purple popping out on the buds. Think Different chugging along well. LST started this week with good results, more cola sites and she’s more stretchy than the BB.

Think Different is starting to explode. First signs of pistils and the training has encouraged around 14 colas around the same height. Starting to really stretch and the LST needs daily attention. This will need scrogging. The Blackberry is moving along nicely although I noticed yellowing of the lower leaves starting to creep up. I therefore started to add Terra Bloom (5ml/l) in the hopes that it is merely a slight N deficiency. Buds starting to swell although I’m starting to think I may have stunted this plant somewhere along the way. It’s upwards growth is minimal but the stems are nice and fat so I hope the buds grow to be the same - they’ll be well supported!

Blackberry is confusing me. Not sure if buds swelling that much with only not long left as indicated by Dutch Passion. However, the buds are bigger than 10 days ago, but not moving along like other grows I’ve seen. First grow so mistakes are to be expected. Think Different growing nicely. So nicely in fact that I’ve put in the SCROG net today. Bunches of pistils on every cola, of which there are 15 main sites. I’m hoping my training will help give this a big yield. Also started this on the nutes as I don’t want this to have the problems the BB had with the deficiency. Also not done any defoliation this week. Once firmly in flower I will slowly start to take some of the lower sucker leaves away. All in all, I’m happy.

So the Blackberry is not longer growing upwards and the colas are not developing as they should. I probably stunted them along the way somehow. Next time I will leave it be and not train as much. Buds developing nicely still, couple weeks off amber I think. Think Different May be my proudest moment of growing anything. Probably too early to say but they look like they are getting ready to pack on some weight. The training worked perfectly and the canopy is pretty level. Some of the stems are already starting to get covered in bud sites.

Basically just now waiting on the trichomes turning amber on the Blackberry. At about 80-90% cloudy now. Seem to be swelling little, but each bud is tightly packed so that looks good. Think Different is probably going to be the prettiest plant I ever grow. The training seems to have worked amazingly and the colas have just started to properly pack out. There’s a number that look like they’ll end up pretty huge if they keep going the way they are.
