First Grow

----------------------------- DAY 1 - 31/07/2019 ------------------------------------------ Hi! So this is the first time I have grown my own cannabis. I have bought cannabis for around a year (with a couple of intermittent "sessions" before then). While not particularly expensive, I don't like not knowing what I am getting, and would prefer to have control over what I'm putting in my body. you never know what you might get from a street corner! I picked up a starter grow tent from Amazon for £90 (100EUR, $110). it included an 80x80x180cm grow tent, 125W CFL Dual Spectrum Growlight, CFL reflector, grow bag, and Canna Coco substrate. The CFL bulb arrived broken, but the company I bought it from (Gardeners Corner) were great, and have sent out a new one, which is on its way to me. in the meantime, I've disassembled an old Vivarium light for the time being. I don't really need it, as my seeds are still germinating, but hey. I have 4 types of seed, and I am growing 7 seeds in total. Hopefully, my grow tent won't be too overcrowded! I'm growing: 2x Trainwreck by Green House Seed Co. 2x Kera Seeds Cherry Grapefruit 2x Kera Seeds Critical Auto 1x Dinafem White Widow The White widow seed was a free gift with my order. All the seeds came from IceHeadShop.co.uk All the seeds are laid out on moist kitchen roll, which is then folded over to cover the seed. I've used an old Vivarium heat mat and thermostat to keep the seeds at around 23 degrees C. Hopefully, in a couple of days, I'll have some roots coming through! ----------------------Day 3 - 02/08/2019---------------------------------- No change on day 2, but today, 2 of the seeds have little sprouts. A good start! I'm picking up some Canna A + B for nutrients, and I'll be getting a PH tester as suggested by Kitkat in the comments. I'm cautiously optimistic! Hopefully, I can get these into pots in the next couple of days! ----------------------Day 5 - 04/08/19--------------------------------- Everything has now sprouted a taproot except the free seed (White Widow). I guess I know why it was free now. I've planted it anyway. Everything is planted into an individual, labelled 02.l pot. I'll move them to larger pots in the next couple weeks. Canna A+B has arrived, and I've made up the nutrients as per the instructions. I've doubled the amount of water to nutrients for the first watering, which will hopefully be less of a shock for the little sprouts. My new bulb arrived and is working great. I'm going for a full 24 hours of light for at least the next week, or until they reach the vegetative stage. I feel like I'm starting to understand all the procedures a bit more now. Hopefully, I'll start to see some growth over the next few days! I've updated the pictures with today's work as well!
