So this is week 5 of my first ever photoperiod grow. Grown 3 batches of autos so far with good success thanks to the excellent advice on here. Growing 4 plants in a 4x4 tent., 2 from RQS, 2 from Humbolt, including this one, 3 Blue Kings.
There's also a Barney's Farm Tangerine Dream autoflower in the tent at the moment, as I started these as I was finishing my last batch of autoflowers to save time.
I topped this one at the 4th node using the classic mainlining technique, stripping everything else, topping a second and third time on each subsequent node to hopefully have 8 main branches.
Once the tangerine Dream is finished in the next week, I'll add a first-level trellis to even out the canopy. Shouldn't take too long now to cover it as I've done pretty much all the high-stress stuff to her I need to already, and she's bounced back like a champ.
Really impressed with these strains so far, and loving the way I can bully these plants in veg so much more than autos.
The Tangerine dream autoflower I was finishing off was finally ready and chopped today, which meant I could add the scrog at last. Will let all 4 plants settle after some pretty brutal HST for a few days.
These girls should be ready to flip to flower in the next 10 days as the canopy is about full. Will lollypop everything below the scrog after that.
Things progressed nicely since the last update.
All 4 plants are loving the environment. These pics are taken 9 days after the last update with calyxes (I think that's their name?) starting to sprout. I flipped the light schedule to 12/12 the day after these pics were taken, marking day one of flower.
Day 14 of flower and all 4 plants have stretched over a foot in the last week. Should start putting all of their energy into flowering now.
Looking really good so far. Really, really good.
Progressing smoothly. Starting to see a frost around the flowers. Very encouraging.
They're drinking about 2litres of water a day each and have fed nutes every watering.
Beautiful plant, really packing on weight. The colours and heavy citrus smells coming through are amazing. Added molasses into the mix because I ran out of Terpinator and why the hell not? Pics taken day 49 of flower. Another 10 days or so and I'll begin the flush.
Chopped day 70 of flower. Lost the top half of the biggest cola to mold which sucked. Totally my fault as I had spent a lot of time away from home the last few weeks of flower. Still managed a really good harvest with this strain, though. Weighed 439g of trimmed wet bud and around 1/4lb trim which will be made into bubble hash.
The buds are dense and sticky with good 'bounce' to them. Impressed so far with the quality and smell - heavy citrus. Hopefully will be looking at over 5oz when dry. Will update with full harvest pics then.
Growing this again. And again. Humboldt have a gem with this strain. Tastes like tangerines with a happy, creative high which sets me up for the day. Biggest yielder of the 4 plants I grew in this harvest. My go-to morning smoke.
