This is my first grow. Any tips always appreciated or comments always appreciated. Noticed what looked like a bit of tip burn towards end of week, so decided to do a res change and cut nutes in half at the end of this week. Currently res water is reading at about 300PPM.

This is my first grow. Any tips always appreciated or comments always appreciated. Everything had been growing lovely so far Roots are looking white and clean and new growth looks healthy. Only issue is that in the last few days I am seeing what looks like a calcium deficiency according to google.. but super hesitant to add anything, as I've seen how common nute burn is among new growers.. trying to get to the bottom of what is going on with her. I ended up added just a bit of extra Cal/mag in case that's what she needs, but trying to be cautious so I don't make things any worse for her. - Res water is now currently at 175PPM ( using distilled water that started at 0PPM) - The food is roughly made up of: 100PPM Cal/Mag 50PPM Grow formula (NPK - RAW) 25PPM clonex solution 10ML of Hydroguard (botanicare) In the second res, I have a few backup plants from the same batch that took much longer to pop.

Still dealing with the same deficiency issues. cannot seem to get her health back on track. I have been making sure to keep an eye on PH, Temps, Res Temps, etc. Any tips from anyone else who has grown this strain or has more experience with DWC greatly appreciated.

She was having some nute issues, so I did res changes for both plants this morning. Cut the nutrients down to 175 PPM. | Made sure PH is at 5.9 Roots are still looking healthy and white / beige (Some slight tinting from the nutrients but they do not feel slimy or mushy) I also added an extra airstone (Large Active aqua soda can style) Hoping she bounces back and the same issues don't appear on the new growth moving forward. I took quite a few leaves off so hoping this doesn't stress her out too much. ---------------------------------- Nutrient Solution in each res: - 5.5 Gallons of distilled water: 0PPM - 2g NPK Industries RAW Cal/Mag: 75PPM - 3g NPK Industries RAW Grow: 100PPM - 2g NPK Industries RAW Grow Microbes: 0PPM - 5ML Botanicare Hydroguard: 0PPM ---------------------------------------- Thanks for checking out my grow. Feel free to throw any tips or suggestions my way. Especially if you've got experience with DWC, Blue Mystic, or Autoflowers Thanks!

I just got my hands on a new Bluelab PH meter and ditched the old cheap PH meter I had. I quickly realized how far off the readings were from my old PH meter. It badly needed a calibration from all the use. No wonder my PH readings were all over the place the last couple of weeks, Probably may have been a huge part of the deficiency issues I was having. She is off to a great start this week, She is taking really well to the light scrog training and her bud sights are all pointing towards the lights! She is def. bouncing back strong, and there is a ton of healthy new white root production exploding form the net cups. Added a 150W HPS to supplement the 250W LED. Both 3" away So far it looks like they are loving this setup! Going to start incorporating bloom nutes at next res change.

Plants seem pretty happy in the environment. I am starting to see some yellowing on the new growth so I bumped up the nutes a bit this week. Hope I made the right call. Not exactly sure yet, what is causing the yellowing.

I'd love to help. Please include your nutrients when documenting the diary. It's possible judging from your last weeks nutrients that you may have overdone it just a bit. I'd suggest changing the reservoir water with PH balanced 6 water and just flush them for a day. Trim off the damaged leaves. Then re-add nutrients in a smaller ratio after a 2 days to help cleanse everything and get her back on track.

@Shydro,I feel you. Thrown in the deep end without knowing how to swim. Once I figured a few things out everything fell into place.

@Shydro, This is the best help I can offer. I know this website seems like a gag but it can be very helpful. http://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-symptoms-pictures

I've been keeping my ppm up between 750-950. Not sure how the nutes differ with that though.

@BigDaddyK, Thanks for checking out my grow, Appreciate the help! For nutrients I am using the NPK RAW line. This is what is in each DWC res now: 5.5 Gallons of Distilled water: 0PPM 4G - NPK RAW Cal/Mag: about 125 PPM 5G - NPK RAW Grow: about 150 PPM 1G - NPK RAW Phosphorus: about 25PPM 3G - NPK RAW Grow Microbes: 0PPM 5ML - Botanicare Hydroguard: 0PPM --------------------------------------------- About 300 PPM total nutrient solution Yes. I had one of those long flexible air stones in each res, Although I noticed they weren't working as well as I'd like with creating bubbles, so I just picked up a couple of those large soda can air stones tonight and just put them in the res instead. Huge difference in bubble creation right away. I appreciate any tips or suggestions from your experience with DWC. Thanks!

What is the ph ? Could be over 7.5 ?
Shydro
Shydrocommented8 years ago
@BigDaddyK, I have been keeping on eye on the PH daily. I have been letting it drift between 5.8 - 6.2 If I ever see it lower or higher than I adjust. For the most part I end up adjusting it to 5.8 then it slowly drifts up to 6.1/6.2 then I bring it back down.

According to my chart, this appears like an iron deficiency.

I am currently using the NPK RAW Grow and Bloom nutrient line for this grow. I am using between about 1/2 and 1/3 of the recommended feeding amount based off of their feed chart. Feed chart found on their website here: http://npk-industries.com/grow_and_bloom_in_grams.html Currently in each res is the following solution: 5.5 Gallons of Distilled water: 0PPM 4G - NPK RAW Cal/Mag: about 125 PPM 5G - NPK RAW Grow: about 150 PPM 1G - NPK RAW Phosphorus: about 25PPM 3G - NPK RAW Grow Microbes: 0PPM 5ML - Botanicare Hydroguard: 0PPM --------------------------------------------- About 300 PPM total nutrient solution
