Six shooter

The 3 little engines that could! I used the paper towel method on these girls and they wove themselves right in with tap roots that were nearly two inches long. I had to rip open the rapid rooter to get them in and then put them in their rock wool home. Off to the races!

I do t think their roots are quite tapped yet but they are stretching upward and just about ready for a nutrient increase.

The roots are all tapped in and taking up nutrients. I’m on the fence as to the prospect of using grow slabs under my rockwool cubes in the future as it seems to slow the growth in the early stages on autos when time is critical. I’m sure they have a better base to grow on but when the roots tap through the bottom of the medium and move about the totes is when the magic happens. Not much I can do about it now and it would be more than fine in my photo room to make healthy beast mode plants. They are on a full 1200 ppm of nutrients and the one mutant In the back I have no doubt will end up happy and beautiful in the end. She just had a hard time getting rid of her shell.

Well that escalated quickly! These ladies started to shoot up and just before I could get some lst in they decided to go right into flower. These will be the first autos I’ve never topped or bent. It’s obvious that the co2 from my breathing makes a difference as I’ve seen it now several times where the plants are larger to smaller in succession front to back. I think I’ll add co2 to this tent in the future. Hoping for a good stretch under the changes up nutrients but the one in the back had a bit of a rough start so we’ll see in the future what she’s going to do. I won’t be using grow slabs under my rockwool cubes in the future for autos as the roots don’t dangle in the water and make for a smaller plant I can guarantee.

Excuse this weeks photos. I broke the lens on my brand new phone... anyway the six shooters have shot. Well two of them stretched up nicely being the first that I haven’t topped or done any kind of lst on we are going to get the Christmas tree effect on them. One is going to be a stubby little bush bud as it was a mutant from day one. The others are a little over two feet tall. Full nutrients from here on in.

The front two are coming along nicely! One main cola and 5 or 6 side buds. Phenotypically or genetically the third one doesn’t resemble the others in any way, shape or form. Completely different leaf and bud structure and obviously dwarfed. Never fear I’ve seen this before and the whole plant will end up a bushy little bud and have some serious high trichome value to it. I started introducing a small amount of 0-50-30 beastie blooms to them just to get ready for weeks 5-6-7 full dose. Here’s to another week and happy stress free growth.

So far so good! The two prized plants are making a nice long beautiful main colas with great lower shoots. I did have what appeared to be a lockout early in the week but I’d bet it was from either salt/nutrient build up or to high of a ppm count. I ran a batch of flora kleen for an hour and the results were astound of how much it stripped out. I think this resolved it and the smells are starting to come through now. I love the later weeks of flower but who doesn’t?!

So here it is. The story of the six shooter. I left these ladies to their own device with very minimal LST and not topping for the single cola effect. I really like topping my autos personally just before flower but that’s just me. This strain has thre very consistent characteristics. Rock hard flowers, super floral smelling and as many sugary leaves as Any other I’ve seen. They did great with the nutrients I gave them and are a fan favorite for sure. In the photos are a moon rock I made for fun and all aspects of the final plant harvested.

Here we are at week 5 already. The pistils are starting to turn red and the bulk is coming on. These plants have a nice mild lemony smell to them right now. They are at maximum nutrients and maximum light until they finish the third little stubby one appears to be ahead of the rest which is understandable given it doesn’t have nearly the mass to feed. Water consumption has increased although I have removed a neighbor somehow. The roots went dry for about 6 hours and that made for some unhappy leaves. Hopefully it didn’t create a stall.

Two of the three have been cut. The first one was just a stubby little lady that had just under an ounce of dried flower. The second one was taken last night and her main cola weight 5 wet and was just covered in oily terpenes. This last one while behind the others is by FAR the frostiest and I can’t wait for her to ripen. Therefore I am not calling it a harvest until the trichomes become perfect as the last one did.
