After a few days of not much growth while figuring out what the problem was last week, this morning she's perked up and seemed to have resumed the explosive growth! It looks like a flush and cutting out the calmag was exactly what it needed, though only time will tell if relying on the tap water for calcium will suffice. I'm fairly certain the yellow spots are permanent... I'm looking forward to cutting those off in the future. I'm anticipating switching to flower at the start of week 7, though that is entirely dependent on if more problems arise or if I'm in the clear and it grows to what I'm aiming for this week. One thing is certain though, I'm keeping it in veg until I figure out the balance between the nutes and my tap water. I'd love to hear any and all thoughts on my grow so far! Day 29 - She seems to be responding very well to the flush and removal of calmag from the feed. Fairly confident the issue was either calcium toxicity or nutrient lockout via salt buildup. I feel the latter is more likely. Day 30 - Still looks like I'm in the clear. She's getting thirsty! I've been watering once per day since the transplant, I will likely need to start doing two waters per day very soon. Day 31 - Actually bothered to do the math on how much vertical space the plant *actually* has. It's less than what I thought it was. I might have to flip it into flower by the end of this week or else I won't have room for the stretch. That said, I was thinking about doing that regardless; she's growing very fast! Day 32 - Good Lord she's growing fast. I wanted to wait until Tuesday (end of my week) to flip but she might force my hand sooner if she keeps putting on an inch every day. Day 33 F(1) - Flipped to 12/12. Maybe I waited a little too long to do this. She's 14" tall right now, and that's about the full extent of her vertical space, assuming she exactly doubles in height and not an inch more. It'll be fiiiiiiiine. I'm going to let her start growing into the light until she gets to about 13-14" (that's around 1000 PAR for my light) and do my best to maintain that for the rest of flower. Day 34 F(2) - I'm seeing the cycle start again, clawing with a rare blemish here and there. This is exactly what happened a week prior to what happened last time. Inbound/outbound pH normal, watering to at least 20% runoff (probably more tbh). I've watered the feed down to 900 EC and watered to about 50% runoff, and I'll see how it is tomorrow. Day 35 F(3)- Looks like the clawing is letting up. Keeping a close eye looking out for new blemishes or yellow spots, nothing yet. Maybe this strain is just a bit sensitive to nutes. Might just aim to keep it around 900 EC in the future.

Grow Questions

When I start using my RO water, I'll have some extra headroom for additional nutrients. Feed chart says I should be using GH KoolBloom (0-10-10) soon. Can I just use extra GH FloraBloom (0-5-4) in its place so I don't have to buy even more nutrients?

Plant looks perfect! I would follow the GH feeding chart. https://gh.growgh.com/docs/Feedcharts/GH_FloraSeries-DTW_03216am.pdf If you follow it you will be increasing your Florabloom and lowering your Floragrow as you get further into bloom. You can veg and bloom with just using the GH trio lineup alone. You don't have to use Koolbloom unless you want to. Koolbloom will add a bit more phosphorus and potassium during the mid to late bloom stage when your buds will start to put on the most growth and weight. I have seen plenty of great grows just using the GH trio alone. Hope this helps.👍

Your plant is looking great - I wouldn't be afraid of the foxtailing much as I believe this is genetically driven. If you look at my run of this strain you will se a nice example of two plants with the same conditions where one is foxtailing and second is not. I can only recommend this strain. It is not heavy hitter due to high CBD level but the high is very enjoyable 😀 Good luck with the last few weeks and give her a good flush at least 1 week before harvest to get rid of all redundant nutrients 😉 Happy growing! 🙏

Thanks! I've actually looked through your grow of this strain several times since I've started; you're one of two that have actually completed it. 😀 I'll be switching over to flush this sunday. I'm looking forward to having this one finish up so I can start my next!

Are those your veg lights or bloom lights? The color looks pretty blue/purple when they bloom the light spectrum is usually red. I'm just asking not sure if your lights have a veg/bloom switch or not.

The light does have veg/bloom switches. Veg is the blue light, bloom is the red light. I have had both switches on since week 2.
