I did a soil grow with a lemon AK a while ago where i also tested some defoliation.
It didnt turn out well and resulted in stunted mini plants and male pollen sacks.
I now use soilless for my growing medium and let them grow as they wish which results in doubled sized plants than what im used to growing in regular soil.
If you are interested in knowing my medium; i do a ratio of 50% regular soil of my own choice, where i usually pick something with some nutrients in it so it can stay healthy without adding extra nutrients for the first 3-4 weeks.. with that i mix in coco for the rest of the 50 %.
Im getting amazing results.
