Red Dragon

Day 1 - Seed Drop Red Dragon from Barney’s Farm. Dropped in seed starter/soil cup for the first couple weeks. Pot her up to my fave 4 gallon low-pro fabric pot. MH for veg, HPS during bloom, air cooled reflector hood, 4x2 tent. She will be flat and mainlined to 8 colas. Be a long run lol. See ya Day 8.

She was a breeze. Put up with early drainage issues and over feeding during veg. Responded well to all the training and snipping bouncing back each time. And gorgeous flowers during late bloom that smelled like hard candy. Full disclosure I goofed the bloom pretty bad. Late in bloom I put a new bulb in only to find out I never took the MH out from veg. Had a couple of strokes plus in colorblind so judge me lightly. Anywhos aside from me screwing the yield down to 42g with that mistake it was a kick ass experience. Definitely will grow Red Dragon again very soon.

Left her under the germ light a day too long resulting in the stretch. Easy fix with the transplant. Soil is a mix of new Happy Frog and the last grow. Moved her to the tent under 400w MH. Light week 1 feeding. See ya next week!

Damn outdoor temps have been mid 90s so this grow week was hot to say the least. She’s got a lil curl but no worries. Bumped her nutes up and added Cal-Mag. Now on a Tuesday/Saturday feeding schedule. Also, the first snips to prep the mainline done just before the update. Topped at the second node and cleaned below. Now the veg fun begins. 18 Days Above Soil. Nothing much this week. Upped the nutes a lil more and turned the circ fan up to keep her happy. Other than that just waiting till she can begin some lst. Till next week

Fun week. 5-6 days ago she was curling up and dying. Starving from almost no drain through. I’ll never use or mix old soil again. More or less aerated then pH water flush. Prob 6 gallons. Then a half strength feeding and back in the tent. Bounced back just fine so the first lst today. We’re behind schedule but what’s the rush? Grow and learn. Till next week

Mainline stress completed this week. Pinned her down then topped the fourth and snipped the second nodes leaving the first and third on each side. So we have 8 colas to let veg for 3ish weeks. Soil issue from last week is good so she’s taking nutes/water like a champ. Till next week.

She’s fat and happy! Every other day I’ll bring her out and move the hooks to keep her flat. String each cola to the pot once they hit the sides. Feeding her right at 1/3 gallon twice a week. And watering now on two off days. Thirsty is happy in my book. Still 2 1/2 weeks from the flip. Prob 3. Till next week.

Fairly quiet veg week. Did some clearing out of fan leaves. Snipped all growing towards the center or facing the soil. Let the air and light get to what will be bud sites. Should be the last week of veg. Till next week.

Last week of veg for lil Junebug. Ph water, no nutes this week to clean her roots of all the buildup. Flushed her yesterday and she’s in 18 dark hours to initiate the flip. Weekend feed will be week 1 bloom. She could easily veg and veg but we’re gonna make sure she’s got plenty of room to stretch and thrive within the heart of the HPS bulb. Seems pretty damn happy after week 1 bloom. Put in some decent stretch especially in the middle. Tied all the tallest down today to flatten her back out. Also cleared out a few more fan leaves, mostly under the canopy, to let her breathe. And tightened up my nute measuring with a syringe, sans needle of course, from my b12 doses. Curious to see the results. Till next week.

She looks happy after the transition and settling into bud focus. Removed a handful of overlapping fan leaves and some minimal LST. She’s getting noticeably thirsty during the week. Still on Sat/Tues feedings as soon as she wakes. So we’re happy for now. Till next week

Nothing much to report. She’s settled in and working on full flower. Cleaned a couple low hanging leaves, no more snipping past week 3. Up to every other day watering, roughly a liter. She’s been a breeze so far. Till next week.

Finishing week 4B she looks pretty damn happy. Mostly just talk to her daily, nutes and water most days now. Cleaned up a few yellows that have died off under the canopy and tightened a couple colas strings. Ordering a new HPS bulb today so she can finish out under full wattage. Temps are lower than my previous grows but it’s cold as hell errwhere. Def help bring out some color in the end. Till next week.

End of Week 5B, pics are chronological since the last update. Hard not to take daily pics these days. Zero issues this week. Flushed her good before the midweek feed with about 5 gallons ph to clear out any buildup. Buds are becoming rock hard and I also changed her to 13 dark hours daily. Introducing Overdrive the next feeding so expect some bloom blowup for the next update. Till next week.

End of Week 6B, 45 bloom days. Took pics in multiple spots due to tent glow, house lights etc. Nothing much to report. She’s a happy girl. Louped her to get a trich peek and damn! They’re almost stacked on each other. Another couple of days and she’ll be full milky. Assuming the chop will be 8-10 days. Feed once more tomorrow and then midweek start the flush. Till next week. Ending Week 7B. Just a few pics of her last week. Fed her Flawless Finish a couple days ago. She’s milky with a few ambers and the flowers are even more dense daily. Next update will be the chop. Till then.
