Still just setting up the grow at this point, reading and researching info across the board on everything to do with growing,
Very basic setup at this point, using a terrible Chinese blurple light only etc
New light installed, twice as powerful as before but still a cheap light I've yet to learn fully
Like the first batch of seeds to germinate, I again get a strange 'quad' seedling, 4 embryo leaves, then attempts to grow it's first 4 leaves instead of 2 also, growth is severely stunted in both seedlings to start with 4 embryo leaves after seed popped
About to go on holiday for two weeks, my mate looks after them like a boss,
By now I know a lot more About light and realise I need another light especially for flowering, the plan is to order a 240w quantum board, 301b Samsung chips just as I go on holiday to take delivery on return, this takes a bit longer than expected to order light, I leave for holiday around end of week 5 veg
Found two females, plant I topped before holiday going well, mate currently looking after them, sending updates to me on holidays, all going very well, mate is bossing it looking after them
Disaster strikes, I find bud rot in a couple of the biggest colas of the centre plant, I remove the colas, salvage what I can, i now understand I have too little airflow for the number of plants in the tent, I am vigilant with looking for more bud rot, which I find in the biggest colas of the small stout indica plant, I presume its mostly indica from its shape, I remove, salvage and begin to dry what I can save
I install another more powerful fan on max speed with acoustic duct to keep fan on max speed, I install another fan to blow across the plants 5oo, humidity drops, everything looks good again to go forward, no further signs of bud rot
Things going well again, the absolute dismay and fear of finding bud rot spreading through two plants has faded now, haha, the new air circulation setup seems to be doing the job
Oddly I've made it through the whole grow to this point without any nutrient burn of the leaves but now that I begin to flush a little nute burn shows up on one plant, must have been some residual salts, only one or two are affected at all :)
All going well, week 10 flower, thinking of harvesting next weekend, would be around day 73~, I'll keep an eye on them and see how they look, but I'm definitely bringing down the sour diesel and one or two others :)
First grow completed, turned out far better than I could ever have hoped, the plants totally bossed it for all the winging it and improvising I put them through, but we got there in the end haha,
Looking forward to next grow, can't wait to enjoy using all good genetics, already have some Bruce banner #3 seeds ready to roll out :)
Thanks for reading
