Greetings everyone and thanks for tuning in. After my first attempt at some auto flowers which left me with 3 ounces from two plants, I have decided to give it another go with aspirations of 2 ounces from each this time around. I have also settled for some hearty Indicas, I think that couch lock inebriation is what I really enjoy! Today is day 35 since surfacing for the Northern Express and day 32 for the Bubblegum. You wouldn't guess it by taking a look though, the Bubblegum grows voraciously and relentlessly, always fighting against my attempts at restraint with string! Since they share the same growing space, I have been tying down the Bubblegum to maintain an even canopy for light penetration, and keep its height around the same as the slightly smaller Northern Express. Because of this they both max out at around 32 cm. They are both into the early stages of flowering with N.E being slightly ahead, and she has just started developing some visible trichromes. Bubblegum supposedly takes 11-12 weeks to finish so I am expecting some slower development there. I do use nutrients, but since they aren't listed in this websites directory I will have to document them manually. I also have a beneficial culture established in my soil to assist the roots intake of nutrients, and I notice the difference from my first grow. I haven't documented the vegetation stages, but everyone seems more interested in watching buds develop anyways. Guano Superbloom (1-9-1) Flairform Budstorm (0-13-11) EF CAL PHOS foliar spray EF Vegetative Foliar spray I PH my water before it goes on :) I really appreciate advice, and as my small flowers begin to develop i'd love to hear what you recommend. Thanks

Another week has elapsed and both these girls are just over 6 weeks old now. From the advice of TaNG I received last week I gave each girl a small helping of vegetative nutrient again and saw them both restore a darker green colour by the next day. The ruler in my photos is 30cm, and Bubblegum is around 40 cm while Northern Express is sitting closer to 33. Both are trained for an even canopy and I think that Bubblegum would be around 60cm if she wasn't tied down. Northern Express' buds are developing fast, and over the last week I have seen her trichromes developing noticeably. Hopefully there is still some size to come on her buds! Quality over quantity though, i'll be happy with whatever I get, and she's smelling lovely, a sweet, piney scent. The Bubblegum supposedly takes a few weeks more than the N.E to finish and as such her buds have yet to start swelling up. I do notice some hints of trichromes starting to appear, and judging by the size of her developing bud sites, she has a bit more in store for me than her counterpart. Today I also bought a new grow tent which i've just finished setting up and transferring everything in to. A bit more room and the plants seem happier already! Pics to come next week. Happy growing everyone!

I have relocated everything into my new Homelab grow tent, and an improved set-up called for some more photos. Here they are on day 46, Northern Express is still looking a little yellow but then again she does finish in under three weeks.

Hey Everyone, Here are the girls in the beginning of their 7th week. Northern Express is 51 days old and Bubblegum will be a few days behind that. I have begun flushing the Northern, and she will receive nothing but straight water for the next two weeks, at which stage she'l be sliced n diced. Her buds are filling out nicely, quite modestly, but I am really happy with how her trichromes are developing. She seems to be much frostier than the plants in my first grow, and has a nice sweet smell like some fruity candy developing. I am a little worried about the speedy at which her leaves are yellowing, I know that autoflowers do this at the end of their lives but it still seems like she's going to have nothing left in two weeks time at this rate. If I were to diagnose what the problem is, I think that she did not recieve enough vegetative nutrients early in life to last through the flowering stage she is in now, and the veg is something I will focus on in more depth next round. Bubblegum is doing her thing slowly but surely, and side by side this grow could be compared to the tortoise and the hare. She has trichromes forming too, and her buds are just begginning to reach the stage of swelling out and taking on more shape. She is less yellow than the other but still beggining to sap out that nitrogen from her fan leaves. Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all speculation/advice.

Hey There! Just quickly here, are a few shots of Northern Express mid week 8. I have been flushing her for a while, and she is sadly losing leaves at an alarming rate. I think that this is because I didn't give her many vegetative nutrients, and Nitrogen is being depleted rapidly. Due to time constraints I will realistically be harvesting at the end of her 9th week, and leaving the Bubblegum on a while longer. Bubblegum is doing her thing too, slowly but steadily. More pics to come next week, and until then, happy growing

Northern Express was a beautiful strain to watch develop, optimal node spacing and very resilient, she seemed to be always happy. The finished product smelt great and definitely did the job, I'd recommend it for the end of the day, but it didn't stop me from rolling up 24/7. Thanks Fastbuds :)

This was my second grow attempt, and my Northern Express definitely suffered from my lack of experience. One aspect I definitely overdid was my watering - I think my roots were always drowning and this inhibited nutrient uptake and was most likely responsible for the early loss of all my fan leaves. Due to her dying off early I harvested early - this also negatively impacted both my final buds, and the quantity. However, these factors aside, I was still really pleased by the pleasant smoke and strong effects. This plant smelt similar to pineapple express but more sweet, and its quality definitely had me wishing I ended up with more of it. I continue to be pleased with Fastbuds strains, and think that with this notch on my belt I can continue on to another grow with a little more confidence in my abilities and the anticipation to see what I can end up with. Thanks for stopping by, and until next time, happy growing!

An amazing strain. Grew optimally, amazing leaf size and great colors coming through towards the end. Amazing subtle smell which wasn't too placeable as weed, and a mellow high to round it off.

Bubblegum came down a few days after the Northern Express, and similarly she suffered from overwatering. I didn't cut my soil enough with perlite/similar, and as a result combined with the massive amount of water I drowned her in, the soil became very hard and compact and the root ball did not develop nearly as optimally as possible. If there's one thing I've learnt from growing, its that as I have narrowed down on the problem it seems to pop up somewhere new and unexpected! As my problems evolve so does my knowledge, and I go forward confident that my next grow (Round 3) will go a bit better than the last. Onwards and upwards! If anyone taking a look would like to recommend some auto indicas you've had a good experience with, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks

I'll do some research and ultimately decide within what the limited selection of my local store has to offer, both options you mention aren't in my country so the Canna range might be what I settle with. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, and on another note i'm excited to see you work your magic on the NL and GSC you just started!

I know a lot of people use Advanced Nutrients, as I really have only used Fox Farm so that's really all I'm familiar with. I do however use two products from advanced being the CA/MG and PH up.

Thanks for stopping by! I've tried to do so and noticed the difference over the last week. Today i'll be picking up some new nutrients too so i'll try and get everything these girls are crying out for

Hay bro, good size and growth but I think u need to bump the feed strength up a little, the yellow on the bubblegum is telling you she is hungry.

Hey TaNg, thanks for stopping by! Your grows are certainly something to aspire to by the way. Is the yellow mainly Nitrogen deficiency or are you suggesting increasing all the nutrients I am giving her? Thanks!

Hey man congrats on this grow you did really well. The purple and green is so freaking awesome to look at! Very pretty looking buds. I feel the same way. After my first grow I was like my second grow is going to be perfect! Then I was facing a whole slew of issues that I didn't have before. I feel like over this last year and change that I've been growing I have learned sooooo much it's crazy. Anyway good job dude.

@Grimbol, Sure does feel good to have the majority of guesswork behind us right! This plants looks were maybe the best thing about it, the effects were a little disappointing. Your bubblegum looks a bit different to mine but for the better, some fat buds you have to look forward to!

Hi, Book_of_Thoth! Beautiful one here! Northern express is awesome, like a portable dispensary, you'll love it! Anything you need, just tell us. But we can see all the master growers here are already nailing it with the help! Thanks to all!

Hey Fastbuds, thanks for stopping by and for all your kind words! I cut and dried a sneaky sample of this plant and really did enjoy the small taste of what's to come. This is my second grow, first also being from your seeds, keep doing what you do and much love and respect to your team 😊

Nice! And yes, I think that is what TaNg is suggesting. Mammoth P is great but they need more nutes and Cal/Mag will also help green them back up. Good job on them though!
