Song Of The Week : Lil Nas X - Ol' town road
--------------------
I'm back with that Red Mandarine from Sweet seeds ! It's been a while that I've got the seeds waiting to be planted to get me some nice smelling nugs 😁✌️
After 24h into some waters the seeds was already opened , 48h after she was ready to be planted and 72h after she was in a pot ( yesterday so the 1 of September) which means that she is 2 days old now ✌️
After a week into a tiny pot she's gonna be transplant into a 3L pot for the 1st part of the vegetative stage
Day 4 [04.09]
She's fast all labelled 🌱👍 she is already pushing 2 pairs of true leaves.
I've transplanted the lady into a 0.4L pot today so she'll have space to quickly conquer 😁
Day 7 [07.09]
Fast version : confirmed !
Height check : 4 Cm
Grower happiness level : 5/5
Feeding : 🤨💧
See you next week for the 1st feeding with Green Buzz Nutrients
Song of the week : Popcaan - Firm and strong
------------------
Day 8 [08.09]
Today is the 1st day of feeding , I am not used to feed that soon during the veg because my classic plan is bring fresh and rich soil everytime I am repoting ( and I am repoting at least 3 times = 4 pots ) so with that method I am bringing nutrients thru the new soil for the whole vegetative stage .. but not that time as I am using a recycle soil from an old grow so it's really poor in nutrient and I am treating it like a "light mix".
So my big introduction speech was to say that I am feeding with the Green Buzz nutrients line up following the "professional feeding schedule" ( see pictures ). The mix was done with 1.5L of water but with the 1L dosage to start slowly.
Day 11
I can see a improvement of the grow since the feeding but I have no pictures of day 8 to compare 😔.

Day 24
Since last week a transplant in a bigger pot was done so she is now thriving in a 7L pot with a new soil from the garden shop that I did not improved with anything.
I've watered the ladies about 40 min after the transplant but I did over watered her 😫 which have caused a possible lockout and a difficult access to the nutrient due to the excessive moisture so she did slow her growth and showing signs of discoloration on the lower leaves but I bet that a good dry /wet cycle and the next transplant will solve the issues.
I didn't watered with nutrients because the new soil is supposed to be rich enough for 2 weeks ( I guess ).
The heat and humidity level are still playing tricks so I have started to cut the light between 12 and 18 most of the days ( I am manually doing it )
❤️💛💚
---------------
Day 31 [01.10]
---------------
Like you have seen last week or on my others diaries , I actually have a problem ... and I bring that problem because it is a general over watering just after a transplant into a 7L pot.
The real issue is in fact a transplant into a new pot + low humidity + hight temps + 40 min before the 1st watering + 1st watering was a overwatering = super combo +1000 points.
Most of my plants are feminised so they will recover with an extra week or 2 and that one Is fortunately one of them.
I also did top her a couple of days before to improve the secondaries growth as I noticed that she was tending to vertically grow quickly ( quicker than the others ) so I wanted to control the height because she will do the flowering outside and I prefer large plants among long ones.
Bonus = I have made a (banana/ grass) compost juice and some palm trees harsh that I will not use on that run but that I wanted to show you. The idea was given by a "grow question" last month , it was something like : How to feed without buying anything ?
I will maybe give it a try with a non commercial seeds batch.
---------------
Day 34 [04.10]
---------------
34 cm tall in the new height ,she is officially the quickest of my actual run and the strongest in term of structure.
Thanks to the high temps the soil is now dry enough to permit me to transplant or to feed ... or to transplant and feed 🤔
I already topped her but I will do some more LST ... or let's say so MST : Mid stress Training haha 😁 I will bend the main stem at 90° at the very base to help the secondaries to thrive better and make a bushy shape because I have the feeling that she wanna grow vertically and I wanna change that.
❤️💛💚
---------------
Day 36 [06.10]
---------------
New week, new soil , new pot ! A 10L pot for my Red Mandarine VF and a soil mix of my own with some garden store soil ( for flowers ) some TKS2 soil ( super charged / with a lot of peat inside) , some perlite ( I have a 40L bag ) and some coconut that have crush with my hand ( 1 year old coconut ).
With that new soil I did not feed but I am about to do it today , yesterday ( trandplant day ) I only gave her some water ( about 1L . Why do I feed straight after transplant and not with the 2nd watering ? Because I consider the plant strong enough to handle a nutrients shot and by experience I know that most of the sweet seeds strain can handle a full dosage.
I have seen some white flies around my grow area so au took 1 kilo of aleo vera, crushed the "leaves" , and put 5L of water to make a foliar stinking spray ( 5 day in the water is enough , 7 is ok but 2 weeks will make you a nice potion to kill you plants ).
LST is the next last step , I will bend the girl with a 90° angle to encourage the secondaries growth and build a bushy shape , I must have said it before but she makes me feel like she is a vertical stretcher so she'll need some help to be like I want to see her.
---------------
Day 42 [12.10]
---------------
Picture update ! She is reacting well to the bending aka LST but she needs a little defoliation or I should maybe say that she needs to get rid of the lower weaker stems to have a quicker upper stems development.
The smell is "Yabadabadou" ❤️💛💚 , just touch the main stem and the smell is diffusing around your nose and is staying on the fingers 😍.
That Mandarine smells like berries for now.
By the shape she's building I can say that I'm not ready to flowering yet , I would like to push the last week(s) of veg in a 15L pot to be able to transplant in a 26L final pot because I am sure she can be a nice yielder if she have the space that she deserves..... and I have already grown the Cream Mandarine F1 fast version which was a queen in term of vigor.
Let's talk about the LST , you can see the 1st day (D 36) and how it changed after 6 days only (D 42) , she's the good choice for the shape builders.
Feel free to ask , comment , like it or hate it !
---------------
Day 44 [14.10]
---------------
I'm feeling lazy today so I'll be short.
Nothing to tell except that she is bigger than expected.
I will transplant into a 15L pot and put it into flowering bu the end of the week or next week.
---------------
Day 48 [18.10]
---------------
She's doing better each days , she's now a nice little Bush thanks to the LST and stem bending I've done duringj
---------------
Day 54 [24.10]
---------------
Almost ready for the outdoor flowering , in 2 days she's gonna stand outside in my garden.
The flowering process should be quick due to the fact it's a Fast Version strain.
The feeding will be pretty heavy to compensate the lack of time , I'll probably have to feed with every watering.
---------------
Day 59 [29.10]
---------------
Feeding with Green Buzz Organic (10L) :
-Humic Acid plus 20ml
-Big fruit 20ml
-More roots 10ml
-Organic Grow liquid 15ml
-Organic Bloom liquid 10ml
She is bushy as expected , not transplanted into a bigger pot like I wanted to because I will try to limit her height.
Stems are solid and not thin at all , a little but if purple colour is visible all around the stems so I hope it is a genetic trait and not a deficiency .
-----------------------
Day 72 [11.11]
-----------------------
Stretch should be over now and what a stretch !!! She's taller than expected, I've grew some Cream Mandarine so let's see what they have in common.
Feeding with Green Buzz Nutrients (10L) :
- Humic acid plus 2ml/L
- Organic bloom liquid 3ml/L
- Big Fruits 2ml/L
- More PK 1ml/L
-----------------------
Day 79 [18.11]
-----------------------
Feeding with Green Buzz Nutrients :
- Humic Acid Plus 2ml/L
- Organic Bloom Liquid 5ml/L
- Organic more PK 1.5ml/L
- Big Fruits 2ml/L
> 1st I have to talk about the smell. For a Cream mandarine fanatic I'm a bit disoriented by the smell and terpene profile. I'm in a daze , that one is smelling like citrus, deep citrus which is fine for me ... but it's nothing reminding me of the last cream mandarin I've grown.
> 2nd The colours ... isn't purple BUT it's not like this strain has been guaranteed to give you purple colours , it's depending on the phenotype. No big deal
> The last thing I can say is that this strain is way taller than any cream mandarine I've grown which is the best for my climate
-----------------------
Day 84 [23.11]
-----------------------
Feeding with Green Buzz Nutrients :
- Humic Acid Plus 2ml/L
- Organic Bloom Liquid 5ml/L
- Organic more PK 2ml/L
- Big Fruits 2ml/L
Noticed some purple tones on some buds , it give me hope for the rest of the flowering.
In less than a week the buds did developed, they are now shining and more compact. I have the feeling that she could be ready soon so I will apply the last week nutrient dosage before I flush with Clean Fruits ❤️💛💚
Feel free to ask , comment , love or hate 👇 in the comment section 😘
-----------------------
Day 87 [26.11]
-----------------------
It's easy to see how fast she's flowering.... well normal for a fast flowering but it's always impressive to see how fast a plant can grow & hopefully I've cloned that phenotype 😍
The smell is still the same , a deep lemon slap in your face and I'm starting to be impatient to try it.
Feeding for 10L :
- Humic Acid Plus 2ml/L
- Organic Bloom Liquid 5ml/L
- Organic more PK 1.5ml/L
- Big Fruits 2ml/L
-----------------------
Day 89 [28.11]
-----------------------
Pictures update
Day 92 [01.12]
Super lemon smell
Super quick buds fatening
Super lazy grower whi will correctly update this diary later 🙌
Day 93
Feeding today with the Beginner Schedule from Green Buzz for 10L :
- Organic Bloom Liquid 3ml/L
- Humic Acid Plus 2ml/L
- Big Fruits 2ml/L
---------------------
Day 99 [08.12]
---------------------
The stems can't support their own weight , nothing to lean on. We are entering in the phase of fattening only and she's gaining weight and consistency.
The feeding must have something to do with that weight "issue" , I've applied the Green Buzz Professional schedule until the last weeks when I was running out of extra PK and since I am running the beginner schedule which is working great too.
Today were the last feeding with green Buzz, it's not that I wanna stop but my pack is over and I don't want to use my other one , I would like to keep it like : a pack a run !
Maybe I will apply extra Pk from another brand or maybe I'll just use clean buds to flush during the 2 next * (and supposedly last) weeks.
-------------------------
Day 105 [14.12]
-------------------------
Officially F+49 and this is a 49-56 days flowering strain so I've cut mine early 👌
Harvest happened that morning due to a too rainy environment and the possibilities of bud rot are high at that stage with that much moisture 🤞
To make things clear : I've not rated it with 10 stars only because my phenotype is not purple 🤗
That strain did not required a lot of extra care which is a good point for a lady grower like me.
During the whole veg and flo my plant has no problem to absorb the nutrient amount I was bringing , I even think that she can handle much more 👍
My plant did grown like a sativa , same type of stretch and same type of structure but we're far from the sativa's long flowering period and you can achieve a flowering in 49 days only 😍
The smell is simple and complex at the same time :
- Simple because it's (according to me) a typical haze smell
- Complex because... that smell is complex and hard to describe , it's something between citrus and sour orange mixed with black pepper and a hint of thin mint (a small hint).
The effect is interesting , it's an indica start follow by a sativa high , not that persistent but enough to make your day. During the smoke test I personally did smoke doobie in the morning and one before I go to bed.
INCOMING --- INCOMING ---
I recommend that strain to anyone who want a quick crop of top quality buds.
Easy to manage and resistant to humidity & pest , it's a good choice for outdoor growing due to a nice stretch except if you want a stealth grow.
Tasty like an haze. I mean it's a taste that I mainly remember from my past haze smoke. Something between the lemon and spices + black pepper.
In summer i transplant like this.. i fill apot with new soil and let that pot soak alot of water, after soaking i let it stand for a while, then i transplant the girl into....... and dont water... maybe that would work for you too....=?
@OutForReal,thats nice to hear you may start to give her "Fast Buds",,, its anice benefical stuff for the girls just add it in every watering like the humic acid plus
@Mrs_Larimar, Green Buzz is working perfectly with the new soil mix ! All my plants are green and healthy , with a good soil aeration it's a perfect nutrients line.
Working as well on autos than on photos , I can't wait to see how it's doing in flowering ✌️👍
@Mrs_Larimar, Haha yeah I'm talking about the plant don't worry 😁 nothing could makes me unhappy or sad 😉.
The plants are feeling it so they are doing better ! I imagine It's all about the karma.
❤️💛💚
@Mrs_Larimar, I was thinking the same , each time I'm growing a strain from sweet seed it's like if they have breed ot for my backyard 😁
They are perfect for tropical climate which high temps and high RH fluctuation 👍🙌
❤️💛💚
congrats you are showing us educational stuff( soilmixing/ remdy against whiteflies.. thank you
i like it if you share your thoughts about new inventions. or talking about why you do something or not
@OutForReal, oh yeah - same gib as in Ga 3.
Gib is also found in young coconut water and banana flower. In Thailand, people use it to stretch mango stems and other fruits.
I used it a couple of time on cannabis. And it over stretch the plant. Stem become weak. And after initial stretching, plant stunted. So it was a weirdly stretched. If use very little, plant is taller with still mall yield. If use too much, gib stretches then stunt plant. Did damages to seedling in germination too.
Gib at best is neutral and most of the time damages plant.
@Med_in_Tropic, Yo bro I hopefully don't use the Banana flower in my compost 👍😁 I am only using the fruits and the peals.
But I know some people who are cooking the flower in many ways and it's not so bad 🤗
I am curious , is that the same giberrellin than we can find in the Ga3 ?
Why is that so bad to give the plants some giberrellin ? I have to admit that I know nothing about it 😅
@Sweet_Seeds, Thank you Jaypp 🤘😁 I admit that it takes me a lot of time before I started this diary but now I'm up to make a beautiful three 🌱🤘 See you 😊
Wha gwwan mi breeda, your plant looks very good, but listen when they need so much feed with every watering and show further they light shine leaves, they need a likkle more of the N-P-K Nuts. like a-time feed with 30% more from the "Organic Grow Liquid" and with the next watering go to the old dosage back.
We wish you maximum sucess with your red mandarine Grow.
@GreenBuzzNutrients, Thank you amigo ! I,'very corrected my dosage since , thank you very much
I've made my plants so big that I'm almost running out of nutrient from my pro pack (don't worry I have another one😘). 8 big plants regularly feed with a single pack and 2 or 3 others plants that received some but not with every watering 💪
Thank you very much for Sharing an other new Diarie with our 100% complete organic product range.
We wish you maximum success with your Red Mandarine Grow.
