Good start to this girl, fast germination. Seed cracked open in under 24h, but left it in the paper towel for 48h and then planted with Mycoroot and she popped up after abt 48hrs.
Fastest from seed to breaking soil so far. The weather has warmed up pretty much from the day after I popped her in the soil, so has helped her progress nice & fast.
I presoaked the soil a few days before planting & let the excess dry a bit and only put a few drops on after planting.
Only using collected rain water as the soil has enough amendments for the first 4 weeks and she's still tiny, so only giving around 50ml every 2 or 3 days.
So, on day 13 I have lost my 2nd Mexican Airlines to damping off... a little frustrating as she was doing so well.
Will try another one soon, going to wait for it to get past a few cold days we have coming.
This time I'm going to make a little "wall" around the stem so the water can't run to the base accidentally and only water around the edge of the pot.
I tried to keep the water away this time, but a tiny bit ran down, the seed was a little lower than the rest of the soil around it and was watering around it to try keep the stem dry, but I let a tiny bit run in by accident & think that's what did it... a day or 2 after we also had temps in the mid 30's and after being in the mid to low 20's before I guess that and the moisture on the stem was enough to take her.... I will keep this diary & just replace it with the new one when I get it started, so just a temporary pause. ;)
Hopefully I finally manage with No. 3
Ok, so... not too sure how she's still alive... 8 days ago (the day before my week 2 update) she flopped over due to damping off and thought it would be a matter of days before the leaves started to curl up & she'd die. I put a chopstick in next to her to support her a bit, I can't give up until I see there is really no hope, but wasn't expecting anything. A few days later her new leaves had developed quite a bit more & she was still standing ( with lots of help from the chopstick). A few days later it was a bit breezy, so I pushed some dirt around her stem to help support her a little more, still thinking I would wake up to her curling up to die.
I've only watered once in the last week abt 200ml, but made sure to only water around the edge of the pot.
Can't believe she's still going just over a week later, so thought I might as well update my diary.
I still have the feeling she's a ticking time bomb waiting to go, but will keep the diary going as long as she keeps going.
If she dies I will add a week to update this diary, but will then do another Mexican Airlines and replace this one.
Hoping she keeps going and makes it to flower!
She's still with us surprisingly enough (fell over from damping off on day 13, but lifted her & she kept going).
I've left her in the greenhouse the last 2 weeks and not taken her out to sun hunt with the others to avoid any crazy temp fluctuation, so she's stretched a ton and looking a bit tall & lanky, but she's still alive, so don't really care. It's a bit hot today (day 28), but she will join her sisters in the sun after today.
Only given a little rain water to keep her going and made a little wall around the base so none goes down and causes any more trouble.
No sign of flowering yet, so hope she grows a bit more before she kicks over.
Don't think I'll be brave enough to do any LST with her, so will probably just let her do her own thing and just support her.
One colder/stormy day, but other than that the weather has been mild to good and cooking today (39C in the greenhouse!).
Equinox was on the 23rd, so we are officially past 12/12, so will get a bunch more started and hopefully this girl will grow lots more before she decides to flower.
A seriously warm week for this girl!
44.6C, 39.6C and 39.9C to start the week off.
Kept her in the greenhouse, out of direct sunlight for those few days and she's loved the warmer weather and shot up!
Finally feel confident that she's over the damping off. Still stretching a bit and grown 11cm this week, but the top leaves are looking healthy & big.
A few little preflowers starting, so hope she had a good week again before she flowers more.
Started to feed her again, only giving her about 200ml every 2 days.
During the heat I gave a little more in a saucer to soak up from the bottom, only about 150ml, left her in it for around an hour & she sucked almost all of it up.
The rest of the week was much more mild, but still nice & warm with a few clouds passing, but nothing too bad or cold.
Been feeding & watering more due to heat and she's got more solar panels sucking water up.
I'm just happy she's alive and I'll get to see what smells she can produce. Definitely need to do another one now that it's warm & get her big!
Mainly a nice mild week, besides today that got a bit colder and some rain.
Looks like the next 2 weeks are good, so hoping for some nice progress during flowering.
No LST or anything fancy on this girl, just happy she survived the damping off.
I dug a tiny bit around her stem to see how she was looking and saw no sign of anything, so she's made a complete recovery.
A bit stretched with looong internodal spaces, but beggars can't be choosers.
Nothing serious to report this week, besides that I upped the nutes to all full doses, will start switching over to Bloom slowly (gave her about 100ml of Bloom and Fire Juice mix, but wasn't enough to add to my list yet).
Don't think I'm going to get much off of her, but anything is better than nothing and got a few more beans, so will definitely try her again.
A few thrips popping up and been squishing them, but will spray all my girls that are not far in flower with some neem a few times next week to try get rid of them.
Nice warm week, nothing much to report.
Took a couple leaves off to keep the top open.
Mainly giving flower food, with a bit of grow, but will stop that next week.
A nice warm start to the week, but the past 3 days it's cooled down and was completely grey and rainy today.
She's starting to fill out a bit. Not much smell yet, but something's brewing.
Don't think I'll get much off her, just glad she survived.
Just on flower food now and will slow down the watering/feed, because it looks like it's a bit cooler for a few days still.
A bit of a crap week weather wise. Lots of rain and solid cloud blocking the sun, some days were pretty much dark all day.
Temperature didn't drop too much luckily, but not the greatest week. Today was much better and looks like it's nice this coming week, so hoping for the best.
No height gained this week, but the buds are developing nicely.
Not going to be a big yielder, just glad she survived and will give me a little something to try.
Otherwise not much to report this week, hope she fills out a bit more, but has a few weeks to go still, so have a little hope.
A nice warm week again, one or 2 cooler days, but still good.
She's frowsting up and filling out and slowly starting to smell a bit. Nothing crazy to pick up on yet, but she's looking good!
Otherwise not much to report, 1 feed earlier in the week and collected rainwater from there on.
Another mainly warm & sunny week.
She's packing on the weight and frost.
Not big and almost no branching, but the fact that she's alive and made it to flower when she nearly died from damping off makes me happy, so anything I get off her will be good!
A nice predominantly warm and sunny week.
This girl is filling out a bit and frosting up so nicely.
Gave her her last feed today and will flush for the next week or two till she's ready.
Smell is starting to get really strong.
Not much else to report this week.
A nice warm week again.
She's winding down and some trichomes turning amber.
Will give her a few more days before I chop her.
I dry for a week and will cure for at least a month before I have me first test, so will only update the harvest then when I can give a smoke report.
Glad she made it!
Despite nearly losing her to damping off, she bounced back and produced some beautiful flower. An awesome daytime smoke that puts your head in the clouds, a great uplifting high.
Terps are woody with hints of spice and herbs, not my personal favorite profile, but very happy to have a bit for those days where you need to float a bit.

@BudsZA, haha thanks man!
Most of my others are doing fine & then I lose 2 of the only FB strain I have a 5 pack of haha typical.
Hopefully the next one is it, not giving up till I get one to flower :P
Good start! Going to try the method of putting the mycoroot directly under the seed. I've just buried mine in a layer about 3cm under the seed. Keen to see how this does outdoor💪got a cali snow and smoothie auto in the works. Happy growing😀
@BudsZA, Thanks man! It's finally warming up & the girls are loving it! So I'm smiling more too haha
It was my first time using the Mycoroot like this & seems to be going well, I only got it after I planted my other seeds, so put some around the base & watered it in hopes some would reach the roots, but will do all the rest like this.
Sweet! I Put a Cali Snow in to germ & has been taking ages, but hopefully she isn't a dud and keen to get some smoothie for next season.
Will go check yours out!
@Shinsimilla,I'm sure they do great and this one she not where you want her to be but a couple of good days of hot weather and light can change that I will get your updates and check them out
@@Tryhard, Thank you! Much appreciated.
Haha yeah, I got a bit overexcited and have a bunch all going and a few more on the way.
Hopefully the next batch will do much better now that it's warmed up a bit.
@Doktorholland, congratulations on learning to read. If you keep applying those skills and read the rest of the diary, you'll see she nearly died in week 2 and I'm very happy to have 6 grams rather than nothing.
