I’m back for a second diary. Hope you have all had good summers and have managed to get away on holiday and soak up some good vitamin D.
I am growing two Northern Lights Autos from Seedsman this time round. A nice quick grow as I have an operation coming up in a few months. So thought I would grow some pain relief in preparation 😂.
If you see the photos, you will notice there are three seeds. Ignore the bottom one, that is a Tutankhamon I was also gonna grow, but it never popped. So never mind, just the two Northerns it is then. And as you will see from the photo, the Northern seeds are absolute fucking monsters. And they popped quick too. I have high hopes (no pun intended 😂.)
Gonna go really light on any nutes and keep that water at 5.8ph.

Another week down and still looking strong and healthy. There is difference day to day now and really starting to smell. So I am expecting flowering to start any day now. Don’t think I will bother with LST, just trim a few light blocking leaves when they start to bud.

Another week of veg. Thought they might have started to show signs of flower. They sure are stinking like they are flowering 😂.

Another week of beautiful veg growth but no big pistil action yet. Gave them a trim of some big fan leaves at the weekend, but they soon bushed out again 😂.

Flowering definitely kicked in this last week. I did another leaf trim last Saturday, it was beneficial for one plant and that is pistil crazy now. The other plant, not so much and it took it time to recover from the trim. To be fair, that one has always been the slower of the two plants anyway. I would say it is about a week behind the other one now though.
But apart from that all good, both still looking rap healthy and cosy in their environment.

I should rename this diary “A Tale of Two Plants.”
As you will see from the photos, one is really thriving while the other is not really doing much at all.
Now either I really did hurt it when I defoliated and it is taking a couple of weeks to recover. Or it is just a weak phenotype. Either way, let’s keep it positive and concentrate on how fucking great the strong plant looks. It is putting on weight everyday, can’t wait to see the final yield off it.

Another week, another update.
As you can see, the difference between the two plants is still quite big. But at least the slower plant does seem to be coming in a bit.
But if I do say so myself, the better plant looks fucking great 😂.

Hi all, hope you are all good and your grows are going well.
A day late with my update this week as I was in hospital having surgery yesterday 😂. All good though. I do love a general anaesthetic 😂.
As you will see from my photos, the buds on my best plant look unreal. Just a few weeks left I think.

Another week of flower down and I am happy. Probably two weeks tops left now on the best one. Maybe a week or two longer left on the other that I still think I stunted with too much leaf trim 😂.
As you will see from the first photo this week, the purple hues are showing in the best plant. Such a lovely smell in the tent now.
Had quite a bit of leaf death this week, but as long as the buds are ok that is all I care about 😂. Think I may have gone too light on the nitrogen in this grow. Perhaps a cheeky little bit of Bio Grow might have helped. Still, healthy looking buds though.

Sorry, only one photo this week. Still hobbling about a fair bit after my operation.
Obviously the photo I have included is the faster plant. A week to go on that I think. The other one is a few weeks behind. Don’t know what to do as I want to dry in the same tent I am growing in. Might leave the good plant ten days longer and harvest the slower one at the same time and hope it is ok for both. Obviously any tips and tricks for harvesting separately would be great.

Just thought I would put my harvest weights on so you all know what is happening. In the jars and curing now. So I’m sure I will update with a smoke report when I hit this shit in time for that fat dude in the red suit coming down the chimney. In regards to the actual grow, it was so easy. I perhaps should have gone with a bit more nitrogen, but that is on me. This is a great auto. Well done Seedsman.

Greetings grower. First off, your plants look great, very nice structuring. I am also starting some NL from seedman, so I am interested to see how yours turn out. Reading the first week you mention the loss of a Tutankhaman. I'm sorry to hear that. I too have just lost my first Tutankhamun the other day. Sprouted an awesome taproot, but then decided to die as soon as it hit the dirt. Root just pulled right out of the shell, along with a goopy mess. Do you mind sharing who the breeder was? Mine was Dr.Seeds. I still have 4 more I'm going to try, so I'm not finished with it yet.
@ForTheBlunted, I'm using promix HP or NutriPlus Growing Media, pretty much the same as promix BX. No nutrients in soil, although I have never actually needed to feed plants until the second or third week, I choose to give them a starting dose after week one. I was planning on doing some LST, but if it gets bushy, maybe I'll just let it go naturally.
@InnerCityGardens, cheers my brother. That Northern Lights gets me so high too 😂. Buds are a bit more airy than I would like, but the quality of the high is impeccable.

@EZgrower, Hi there. Thanks for the follow and the lovely comment brother. I am hoping for lots of fat buds too 😂. I actually vape my weed instead of smoking it. I use a Black Mamba dry herb vaporiser that I got it off Amazon. Literally nothing else goes in other than the ground up dry herb. Gets me high as a motherfucker 😂. Good luck with your grow too.

What a beast! I initally thought you plucked the buds for some reason, then saw that it was an entirely different plant. My auto's are somewhere in the middle of both of yours. Looks fantastic, looks well over 3rd week of flowering! Can't wait to see final yield. Followed, my good sir.

@@indica_only, Yeah cheers matey. Plant number one really is a goodie. It may be further into flower, but I literally held off declaring it in flower until I saw pistils and whereas one day there were none and the next day it went berserk with them. So it may be a bit further than my declaration 😂. Thanks for the follow, I think plant one is gonna yield some crazy weight. Well, here’s hoping anyway 😂
So, cure and smoke update.
Did a two week cure and it went absolutely perfectly. If I could wish for myself and for all of you to have cures like this every time, I would. They buds feel lovely and so dense. Broke one open the other day and the smell was insane. Flowery, fruity, skunky. Lovely.
Just hit some for the first time last night and it absolutely wrecked me 😂. So nice and chill. Fizzy head and couch lock to the max. Great weed. Don’t know how to change the details above, but it is 100% indica 😂.
