I have limited experience as this is my first grow. I can't really compare it against anything else since I am doing everything for the first time. I purchased a grow tent with CMH 315W lights and have been using this new setup to grow this strain. I had no issues with the germination. What I can say from my experience is that the plant grew fast, within 6 weeks its was up 3 ft and I had a hard time keeping up with the LST. It was strong and sturdy until the mites came but it still withstanded them for the last week, only the leaves died.

Here we go my first journey into this hobby is almost complete. It has a citrus and earthy taste and its was smooth. Starting with the good, the seed germinated quickly, I had a small tap root in 24 hours. After a couple of bumps, my fault, the plant started growing. It grew quickly, tall and strong in the first few weeks as well as in the first week of flowering. It was reacting well to its training but grew too fast for me to keep up. I will know for next time as this was one of many lessons learned. Overall this plant was very healthy with large leaves and the bud was nice size in my opinion. Now for the challenges I faced, the quick growth was hard to keep the LST in check. It grew so high that I had to take the lights off the pullies and raise to higher. Thinking back I should have done another round or two of topping and fimming as I only ended up with 6 good colas which may have affected my yield. In the last week I was infested with spider mites, and moving forward I am not sure how to prevent this from happening again, they are so small they can just crawl in from anywhere. After hanging my plant to dry in the tent I left the fan and carbon filter on high to prevent the smell. I check on it a few times and cut the bud in the jars on the 7th day but I think I waited too long. The buds were extremely dry and crumbled, I ended up with only an ounce from my plant and looking at the size while it grew it looked like I would get a couple of ounces at least. Next time I will turn off the fan and let the carbon filter on med/low to let it dry. Overall I enjoyed my first harvest and hope to learn to grow bigger and better buds from the next time. Any tips or suggestions are welcome.

Just finished my first harvest and I was surprised that I ended with an ounce for my plant. I don't know if this is common? Please take a look at my plant before harvest, and see the size of the buds and what I ended up with. Maybe its too dry after 7 days hanging . Any tips?

Looks like a lovely plant though and I think you harvested at the right time personally. 👍Plants loose about 70%of their weight once dry. But an average yield would be 1-2ounzes really this is why so many growers try to increase their yourself as much as possible! Next time try growing one plant in a bigger pot, and keep tying the stems down in the veg stage and early flower stage,or increase lighting or change lamp distances, learn from any mistakes.

Hey bud nice grow for first time around before reading ur final thoughts I noticed the mites in your images. Those things are such pain in the rear and will slow growth even effect your yield in the end. Seems you dried your stuff in the tent they scattered they only like live plants. I’ve watched them do it on my last cure and torched them with a small flame was fun haha but I would suggest taking your tent apart and giving it a complete wipe down and sanitize it with a disinfectant corners and poles especially places you can’t reach when the tent is assembled. They go into corners and holes, lights anywhere possible in there. They don’t live long without plants but their eggs will survive and they will plague you again and again. Speaking from experience lol I’m dealing with that situation now I didn’t clean well enough and using all new pots and growing medium did nothing. If you see them again I found a good way to kill a good portion of a population fast but will not erase the problem. Try using 1 part alcohol and 9 parts water spay them directly and spray your plants with a mister you see them change colour and die. I would then follow up with the same treatment and maybe an insecticidal soap a few days later. They get immune to the same thing over and over. Hope it helps you these things been haunting me for awhile but recently found the alcohol water solution to help the best.
