In flower, you typically want the lights to be closer than in veg. LEDs don't put off as much heat as other lights so you should be able to get them closer without burning the plants. Everywhere I read suggests doing the hand test, hold your hand under the light for a minute and if it's too hot for your hand then it's too hot for the plants. Hope this helps.
