I’m back everyone!!!!! This time with a Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough!! This was one of my first seeds I have ever obtained and my new love for stativa’s is going to make this grow exciting! Trying some new things this time around!
I’m running 2 Platinum P300 LED’s,
Pro mix HP in a 5 gallon smart pot with added Dolomite lime.
I’m going fully veganic this round! I have been doing a lot of research this summer and stumbled on veganic growing, which Incase you don’t know it’s using nutrients only obtained from plant products. In therory it’s makes for a cleaner end product due to no residual salt buildup in the plant. No need to flush at the end or before you switch to bloom nutes!!!!
Saw a lot of growth the week! As soon as she got her true leaves she just exploded!! Seams to be liking these new nutes although looks like I need to up her Nitrogen, with as much growth as she has had she isn’t as dark as she should be.
Decided to top her, mainly because she was growing faster then the Bubble Bomb next to her. I’m going to be doing a ScrOG for the first time this run so I would like to see them be about even in height before I start the flower cycle. I also decided to try to clone her (first time) after i topped it, felt bad doing it and even worse tossing it so I decided to try to clone it. So far so good... as of now!!!! I have been feeding her some RO water and that special sauce OG tea.
As for her mother she responded a hell of a lot better then I thought she would after the top. I was hesitant to do it in the first place but after some reading decided if I wanted to do a good ScrOG then I would need to top or FIM.. I decided to top this one and FIM the bubble bomb since she was shorter then the strawberry cough, and for experimental reasons.
Haven’t fully decided but I think I’m going to start the 12/12 cycle starting week 4..
So I decided to switch to flower starting this week, not quite a while week since I have switched to 12/12 but for the growth of the plant she is 4 weeks old. Just started to stretch and looking great as of now. Excited to see the buds start to develop.. stay tuned everyone!!
So the end of week 5/ week 2 of flower. She has started her stretch and I have been trying my best to keep all the top branches even and Its especially difficult to reach the back branches from underneath to tie them into the screen. The two top branches that are split apart are growing a shit load of little tops all the way to either end. It’s going to produce some nice little dense nugs, there should be 14 tips just in the center!!!!!
Before the start of the 5th week I fed her just the OG team, amp-it and 2 tablespoons of Black strap molasses.
Saw some major growth this week, by far the most towards the end of week 3 of flower. I LST’d the mains down on Tuesday and by Sunday they showed some great stretch. I will probably leave most of the tops where they are without tying them back. I also defoliated quite a bit, can’t tell now but as you can see I really cleaned up everything under the screen. She has started to flower really fast after she first started to show her first pistols, funny because she was behind the indica dominate one in the tent but now this sativa is in the lead.
Other then that a good even looking canopy getting ready to set the buds in, and see her true beauty.
Been seeing nice bud development this week, as far as the stretch goes I think it’s done, now time to focus on getting her buds fat as hell.. I would also have to say that I am impressed with this line of nutrients. Have been feeding her full strength nutes every other day with a gal of water and they are just loving it!!! Never had plants so happy!!! Can’t wait to see the trichome production later!!!!
Bud development has really taken off this week, she is definitely done growing vertically and is now concentrating one the buds, mid week I watered with just RO water, OG tea, molasses and Prime Zyme.. I also upgraded my air pump and air stone for my feeding water. I upgraded to a 4” air stone on the bottom of a 5 gal bucket with a 100 gallon air pump. In some of the pics you can start to see some trichomes developing along the sugar leaves. Which tells me she is getting ready to fatten up.
Seen some good bud development this week.. although she looks a little lite colored on her sugar leafs, kind of made me worry weather or not I put enough dolomite lime in her soil to combat the drop in pH, so I tested her run off and if anything the ph is on the higher side... so it might be that the LED is too strong so I also backed that off to 21 inches above the canopy, just long enough to give them a break for a few.. I will also be feeding with 2 gallons water with the same amount of nutrients as I give her for 1 gallon.. just trying to give her less because I don’t think she needs it and to get a little more run off to get the soil ready for the flush towards the end. She is starting to smell spicy with just a back tone of sweet strawberry.. can’t wait!!!!
This week hasn’t been to eventful. She is still looking great just getting ready to start fattening up, seams like she has another two weeks left in her. Last week I thought the pH was dropping so I sprinkled some dolomite lime on top.. that’s the reason why I stoped giving her the liquid CAL/MG. I might of given her too much as some of the fan tips look a little burnt.. but all in all looking really great!!
I can tell that the buds are starting to mature and put on a nice swell... more pistils are starting to die and turn a nice orange red color.. the smell is really starting to develop and make the whole tent smell like sweet spicy fruit... can’t wait for the to be done!!
Been noticing a lot more pistols turning brown, smell has been developing more and more and just waiting for the 9th week bud swell.... just finished my new drying tent, so now just waiting for the chop.. looks like one or two more weeks left.
Started the flush this week, even though vegamatrix clams you don’t need to. She has really been swelling quit nicely and her smell of FUCKING amazing! Probably going to be chopping her the following week!
Was one of my favorite strains to get at the dispensaries, now that I have some really good home grown makes My medicating all the better. BY far the best smelling stuff I have ever had smoke is nice and clean!! 00
