Hey All,
Going to start in my tent inside the house with 1 Auto ultimate under a 600W Viparspectra but using it on 300W level for the grow and 600w level on the last 3 weeks of flowering.
First time under New Led Light before always used hps . So let’s learn a little more :-)
Smart pot i will use 26 liters
Coco 70% Perlite 30% as soil.
Growtent 80x80x180 .
and i will try to use a technique called Bud Swelling in 3th week of bloom (week 13) on some stems.
Cheers,
update after day 5 she put her head out and i put her in the big tent in her home for the next three months .
first put some feeding water in the soil and then put her in her big smart pot .
not much to say just having some small issue with the ph in my coco . it' 7 so it's to high so i made some solution with feeding and ph down to get the water on 5.5 ph and gave her a good watering to get the ph down.
just found out that my tapwater is 8.5 ph and advance nutrience in combination with some canna does not ph Perfect like they tell you :-)
but i'm shocked that the tapwater is so high.
but i'm switching over from canna to advance nutrience so i will be using my canna product till everything is empty.
maybe then the ph perfect system will work and i don't have to worry about the ph anymore.
but last grow my ph from tapwater was 7 ph and now 8.5 ph that's a huge difference .
not much to tell you for the moment!
i have added some Rogis Garlic to the feeding ( it's a prevention against all kinds of insect attack that wan't to eat my plant.
used it the first time 2 years ago and did not have any problems with bug attacks. the last 2 grows i did not use it and had problems with bugs!
so started to uwe it again so let's see if i can keep it bug free :-)
and also slowly getting my ph level down in my soil that it will be perfect when flowering starts( my tap water is not ph stable ) so need to check it every time.
day 25 started with ponytailing my plant as you can see on the photo
started on day 25 with ponytailing her to give light to the lower branches.
she is starting to grow faster and faster .
only thing i'm wondering about is should i get my light up higher so she will stretch maybe ?
anyone has an opinion?
cheers
started with low stress training,
have bend the stem to one side and tie it down..
have ponytailed her 12h a day for 5 days to get light to the lower leaves
looks like the low stress training and the ponytailing are doing it's job to get multiple Big Buds.
let's wait and see how it turns out the vegetation is taking up a long time i'm on day 42 now but i think it will happen soon or is starting allready.
i'm not a pro so still learning a lot.
Cheers
i think she is starting to flower but it' not really visible and i'm not a pro.
i was away for 2 days so when i opened the tent it's was nice to see her doing good.
only thing that worries me a little was a few brown spots on some lower leaves.
in the middle of 3th photo you can see it's only on 2 leaves so maybe it was from low water supply because they did not get water for 2 days.
let's wait and see if it get's worse or not.
the plant is taking up almost the tent with ponytailing and LST so i hope i will get a big harvest.
cheers
well she's filling up the tent completely well i'm hoping she starts to make big dense buds now.
started with a little Canna PK13/14 to boost her a little. i think she won't be ready on week 10 like written on the Dutch Passion Website.
i think it will be week 15 ! well let's wait and see. anyone had the same problem?
not that i dont' need it quickly but would be nice to see the estimated time to finish would be more accurate or am i doing something wrong?
if you got some advice to share with me , be my guest i'm still learning a lot from the masters on this site.
Cheers
well here an update.
i thought she was flowering in week 7 but i was wrong. now i still don't see clear signs of blooming but we are in day 63?
i contacted Dutch Passion 2 days ago and send them a picture and told them she's not blooming and i was thinking of changing the light schedule to 12/12 to force her into blooming.
but they looked at the picture and told me to wait that she will be starting blooming any moment now.
still waiting and i'm getting a little worried because i put lot's of work into her with ponytailing and lst to fill my tent and it worked.
i would like to see her starting to bloom because when she does i'm sure she will be huge.
any advice from some of the masters here?
ps: noticed some little tips of leaves burned so i'm going to adjusted my feeding a little.
Cheers
well i thought this plant got in bloom on week 7 but i was completely wrong she did not want to go to flower.
on day 60 with still no since of flowering i contacted dutch passion to ask them for some advice?
they told me she was ready to bloom and that they did not have an autoflower go past day 60 this year without starting to flower.
i must say they where very helpfull and they even send me some seed to compensate for my troubles.
but they told to wait that she would be blooming shortly.
now it's day 70 and i still don't see signs so i put her on a 12/12 regime to see if i can force her into blooming.
asked dutch passion if it could be that there could be a feminized seed get mixed with autoflowers but they said that they do everything to prefend this.
but you know i don't blame them making autoflowers is kind of tricking nature into doing stuff .
and the ways of nature works in mysterious ways.
i hope she will beginning to bloom shortly because normally i would have been harvesting on week 11 or 12 as they stated on the website about the seeds.
now if she starts blooming it will be week 18 when she's ready :-( and there are some other great seeds waiting to grow!! C. Banana and some others like royal Gorilla , Brooklyn sunrise and cinderella jack.
well if next week i don't see sings of blooming i will cut her down and start a new one.
put so much work in this plant with ponytailing and LST to fill up my tent 80x80x180 with just one plant and it worked would be a shame to see all this work for nothing.
ps: any tips or advice or more then welcome . did any of you have the same problem with autoflowers? it's my second run with autoflowers .
i'm thinking of switching back to photoperiode strains in the fututre so i don't have the problems again with not going into bloom.
cheers
well what can i tell you.
last week i put my light schedule to 12/12 hours because she did not start to bloom.
contacted dutch passion and they did help me out and where very generous in compensating this.
but now it's day 77 and no i'm not sure anymore if she is blooming or not. i thought she started in week 6 but i was wrong. so now i'm not sure anymore.
i really hope she's starts to bloom because its a really big plant and would hate to see it go to waist.
i have the feeling that she was not an autoflower but a normal photoperiod seed.
so let's hope this is the case and she starts to bloom now and if she does it will be a big harvest considering the size of the plant. my tent is 80x80x180 and she's filling this space all by herself .
if anyone can help me with some advice much appreciated.
Cheers
Update : finally on day 80 !!! 10days after changing the light schedule to 12/12 i can see signs of blooming :-)
so it has got to be a photoperiod seed and not an Auto ultimate seed.
now hoping for a big harvest in a about 8 weeks .
hey,
finally she's is blooming and it shows :-) but this is after 2 weeks of putting this auto on a 12/12 light schedule to get her to start blooming.
but now i'm almost sure that this was not an autoflower and maybe this seed was just mixed up.
because when i put her on the 12/12 schedule she started to grow again and in 2 weeks she grew 30 cm and i'm having a problem that she is reaching my light. i can rase my light for about 10cm but then i'm finished so i'm waiting to raise my light so that she does not stretch anymore.
i'm very pleased to see her bloom and with the LST and ponytailing it looks like i'm getting 7 main cola's !
very curious how the harvest will turn out from this 1 plant.
but i'm very pleased to see her bloom finally .
i bought the whole line of A.N. and i'm going to mix her with my canna products until they are finished and then it's going to be only A.N. for me. Canna is a great product i did 3 grows with canna but it's time to try something else and see if it's better or not.
well all is going well the buds are developing good and it looks like i'm going to have a good harvest after all.
stopt giving the canna pk13/14 and lowered all the nutrient a little bit.
saw some tips of the leaves a little bit burned.
its my first time under the viparspectra and i'm curious about the outcome.
next week more news....
tried a technique called bud swelling on some stems of my plant.
you cut of the tops from al the buds on your stem and they should get bigger . let's try it on 4 stems and see in a few weeks if this technique makes a difference. i will add a video how i did it and this you need to do with al the buds .
hey guy's,
into the 4th week of flowering she's doing very nice. i think i will be needing to put some sticks in to support the stems soon because i think she will deliver some big buds.
the 4 buds i did the bud swelling technique on showed some brown spots where i pinched the tips of the first few days but they look like they have recovered and overgrowing the amputated parts of a the buds i did.
let's wait and see in the end if there's a difference between the treated buds and the natural buds.
also doing a lot of research in some new lights QB,Cobs or normal led panel.
the viparspectra is doing good but i want some more high end grow light . the viparspectra is an ok light but the spectrum is not that great but for the money it's a good light to start with.
my lamp was on it's highest level but my plants are burning so i strip her to the sealing so i won another 10 cm to get the light a little higher.
not much more i can do because my auto turned out to be a photoperiod so she was 10weeks in grow that's why she's so high.
one stem i suppercropped because it was hitting te roof as you can see on the first photo on the left side.
there is another stem that's to high but i'm going to leave it like it is. don't want to stress her to much because i need her to finish quick .
also having a little nute burn so gave her ony water for 2 days.
also put some supporting bamboo sticks for support because it looks like i'm going to get some big buds if everything goes well 😀
cheers.
hey,
ok having some problem.
always giving my plants water around 5.8 / 6 PH last week checked my coco soil it's ph and it was 7.5 PH so i flushed it with 20 liters of water around 5.8 PH .
but after i saw more looked like burns on my leaves so i figured out i had an Ca problem is it that i gave her to little feeding or to little cal mag supplement or was it because my ph is unstable in coco soil
or all the things together so that my plant is facing Ca problem.
what i'm doing right now is giving her 2ml cal mag per liters and make the base nutrient higher to try to feed her good for the last weeks.
also started with giving her overdrive to finish big, maybe a little to soon but i'm trying to boost her energy.
not much more i can do then hope she still will deliver a good yield she looks likes she's going to deliver a good yield hope this Ca problem won't be a pain in the ass.
can't do anything about the deficiency.
giving her enough cal/mag but i think from the advice i gotten there seem to be a lot wrong but i'm almost finnished so better luck next time.
hope she will be ok for the last weeks .
any advice is always welcome.
it's my first time with AN products before i always used Canna and did not had any deficiency with them.
still learning but i think i'm going to leave some supplements out when i run out of them like Nirvana or Bud Candy .
not much to say.
checking the trichomes to see when she will be finished but most are still transparent so i guess another 2 weeks and then she will be ready.
she's not getting more beautiful with the deficiency fucking up the leaves but she's coming to the end.
got 4 cinderella jacks waiting to get in the tent onces she's done.
so hope she will finish soon because 140 days for a so called autoflower is long . i could have gotten 2 harvest with a short flowering genetic on the same time.
ok she's finally in her final stage ,half of the trichomes are milkey so i guess next week she will be ready to harvest. what a run it was but she made it trough with some big Buds waiting to be trimmed.
the leaves are looking very ugly on top of the plant bud the buds seem ok.
i'm very curious how much she will yield. i have posted some photo with my hand between the buds.
i have like 9 buds the size of them and lots of smaller ones. looks like she will be a big yielder.
well she's still not finished to my satisfaction. there are like 50%clear trichomes / 50%milkey trichomes and sometimes i see an amber but like 5% on total
so i'm going to wait till tomorow or day after so more trichomes can get milkey . we will see i'm sure the next post will be me cutting it down . and she's rather big :-)
i think it's a good weed for the evening! i'm still curing it so i just smoked a little from it but it looks like it's a little more indica then sativa. what i can say is that's she's a big yielder for sure :-)
it was a hard ride growing it. normally it would have been an autoflower but it did not want to flower.
so on week 10 i put her on a 12/12 schedule to force her into bloom.
after that she started blooming. and because she took that long she grew out to be a big plant.
it was my first grow with Advance nutrient and i'm not sure if i like it? before i always used canna and everything went good. now i used AN and i had deficiency maybe i need to learn a little more. i will use AN further because a have enough at home. but maybe a will switch back to Canna in next grows coming . it's less bottles and it worked very well. but hey let's see.
i was amazed how good a Cheap light like the viparspectra did on this plant and yes i know there are better lights. i'm going to use my vipar for veg and will bloom under 2 QB 270 W they are far better . but hey the vipar did a good job so if you wondering if the viparspectra grows you weed yes it will grow you weed. also tried Bud Swelling technique on some Buds and i must say i will be doing it again. looks like it working . after all i'm very satisfied with the result even if it took me 20 weeks .
looks like P and K excess = deficiency Mg,Ca,Zn, Fe,Bor
+ edges of leave are rolling up = too much EC
but it's all ok, cannabis loves high nutrient inputs. Look at how it keeps growing. Avoid other high nutrient feeds. you'll flush soon anyway.
@Keran,hey i don't measure EC so i really don't know.
you think i feed her to much?
i think more i have a problem with my PH level and get nutrient block.
i always give her 5.8 ph feeding but i have an analog meter for soil and he states my ph in coco is 7/7.5 i don't understand. so i flushed her and now still my meter gives 7/7.5 but
i don't know if he's correct. when i flushed her the run off was 6ph .
so i'm a little confused .
1 meter is not correct ?
yeah dont do too much supercropping on it ,mine is an auto and slowed it down a good 2-3 weeks but hey i guess thats better than burnt bud isnt it?
YOur girl is fattening real nice! How many more weeks you thunk it will go? CHeers!
@Martinmcfl, well it was necessary to do this but she had no problem with it.
i'm guessing she will need 3 or 4 weeks to get her where i want her but i will check with the plant and look at the trichomes to know when she's ready.
I have not grown auto's before but that is a very happy and healthy plant that you've got there. Autos grow on their own schedule so if Dutch Passion says that they will start budding soon I would wait another week and see. If you still don't see anything than I would switch to 12/12 like you said until you start to see bud sites forming.
@DeepRoot3d, yes if she starts blooming i think i will need support for the weight but it’s like waiting for ages to see her start blooming hard. But like dutch passion said i’m going to wait a little more.
i'm starting to get a little worried about my plant i'm near day 60 and it does not show any obvious flowering signs ? is this normal? can anyone take a look at pictures an maybe some advice if this is normal or there is something wrong with my plant. Thanks
@@frags,then my tent will be filled up. and for the space the 2 QB are more then enough light. if i put in more it would be useless or i could burn the plants. and i can use the vipar for veg in a closet to start new grows.
@@frags,no the watts are 270w true watts out of the wall .the next grow will be 4 cinderella jack's but i'm going to change the light . i have 2 QB 's delivered last week.
so the viparspectra is going to be a light for veg in another room.
i just started a diary with the next grow.
thanks man
Excellent looking harvest! I was pleased to see how much weight she was carrying. I know you didn't plan on a photoperiod lady but you can be proud of her, looks like she turned out great FINALLY and budswelling looks like it was worth the effort. Thanks for the sharing and congrats!
@Skiffdank,thanks man, well in the end it was worth it. now i'm just waiting for her to have a good cure and then i can realy taste her and see if i like the smoke. waited 20 weeks so i hope she will get me a good high :-)
@martinkush,well i hope so to Bro. it's my first grow with LED before i also used HPS and it always worked great. but we will see if the grows with LED is not to my satisfaction i will swith to hps again. cheers ,
@martinkush no i talked with dutch passion and it's the first they have this year that exceeded 60+ days and tomorrow is day 70 and still not flowering. i put her on a 12h/12h regime to see if she will flower eventually . tomorrow i will update my diary about everything.
@Italy_Grower,hey Well i was still in learning process with this grow was more then 3 years ago.
I realize now the only thing that gives fat buds are the lights.
@420_liquidsun,yes i have grown them before and they are very good. these things can happen but no harm done got some free seeds and after all i got myself a big plant. i only lost a few weeks of time.
@Kroniclesofnarnia,well i don't know. i contacted Dutch Passion about it and they said this don't happen often :-) so i just had to be the one . but they compensated me with some free seeds so no harm done. realy nice of them to send me some seed . but after 10 weeks i put her in to flower myself. that's why she grew so big.
@DeepRoot3d,thanks man the first time ponytailing worked and also LST to get a full plant . waiting to see what the outcome will be . some say that auto ultimate can grow to be a big plant! so i'm very curious 😀
