Seeds were all started with a 12 hour soak in distilled water, then placed in paper towels til tap roots appeared. Seedlings were then planted in solo cups fillled with lightly watered promix hp under 2X30 watt LED lights...all 6 Quick Kush sprouted within 2 days while the Remo took 2-3 days longer with 1 seed not sprouting...for the first week they got water, day 12 all Quick Kush were fed lightly with VeloKelp, today all 5 Remo were fed lightly with VeloKelp as well...
repotted from solo cups to 4 gallon containers...all plants have been lightly fed twice in the past week with a gallon split between all 11 plants complimented with foliar feeds between waterings...all 6 Quick Kush and one Remo were topped after taking photos...the 4 other Remos will be topped in a few days
So far no visible problems or deficiencies to report...just major growth and development in both Quick Kush (QK) and Remo Chemo (RC) over the last week...one Remo is filling out nicely after topping and the other smaller four have almost caught up in height, however they are almost half the height of the QK.
All QK are all between 12-14 inches. One RC is 11 inches, two are around 8 inches and one is just over 6 inches.
This week begins with a switch from MH to 1000 watt HPS for the 12/12 flower cycle...next feeding will be with Remo flowering nutes👍
These plants already smell slightly gassy/skunky👺which is awesome!
Explosive growth and stretching this past week, all Quick Kush have begun forming preflowers while the Remo is a lot slower. Quick Kush averages around 22 inches tall while Remo varies from 18- 8 inches.
Clearly the Quick Kush are stable and vigorous, while there is a lot of genetic variation amongst the Remo girls...unfortunately because of their smaller size all of the Remos received the most exposure to the blinking light source.
The Quick Kush have slowed down from the stretch and are starting to fill out...Remo's are all bulking up a bit too and are all 1/2 the size of the QK...Remo nutes are top notch, the plants have zero deficiencies!
The Quick Kush are real monsters, I should have topped them twice then they would be a better fit for my space, thankfully the stretch seems to have stopped👍 on the other hand all of the Remo gals are going to hermie...when the pollen sacs are about to open I'll remove them from the grow and harvest some pollen and do a little selective breeding with the most promising of the remaining Quick Kush👍Also I've increased the flower nutes for the last few weeks as instructed by the Remo feeding guide!
laid off the MagnifiCal for the final weeks...the girls have maxed out at just over 40 inches or just over 100cm in height...the biggest colas are over 10 inches long and are super heavy, dense and fat...the smell is strong at times...gassy, dank, and sour with hints of lemon and pine😋
Overall Quick Kush is a strong and vigorous plant...super easy to grow...will update with final yields etc...guessing all 3 will yield over 80 grams...the first one harvested Dec 1 was over 85grams so the other 2 should be similar
@DinafemSeeds, yes the QK responded really well to topping as did the one RC...I left the other 4 RC alone because I felt they were too small and didn't want to further impede their growth with topping shock👍
Remo Chemo and Quick Kush being grown with Remo nutrients 👍
That's a match made in heaven and a grow we will be watching with interest 🤗
Good luck my friend 👍 Let's see what you can do 👊
All the best ✌️
