First grow ever 3 seeds bought 1/3 germinated the other 2 rotted when I placed them in wet paper towels the last one I soaked in water for a couple hours and placed it directly in soil and popped out 2 days later.
Everything going well no signs of stress, told the guy I got the seeds from that two seeds rotted and he gave me two cuttings of a high yielding solodiol pheno he called « Bigg Skunk » for free as a compensation
It didn’t grow very tall before switching into the flowering stage. It gave 1 large central cola and 4 small branches with decent sized nugs. Just near harvest I had a summer trip planned and I had to leave my plants behind for two weeks. Just before I left it seemed almost ready for harvest but could go on for a bit so I left it behind and asked a friend to come and water my plants for me. Unfortunately the weather was really hot but it also rained quite often so the part of the plant showed signs of botrytis. After all it was my very first grow so I didn’t expect to have a huge yield on that plant but the bud rot bummed me out but it teached me a good lesson early on so I don’t make the same mistake with the four feminized plants I still had in my garden. I still ended up trying to recover what I could of the plant and got about 15g of smokeable flower. What I think I could’ve done (except planning early on to be home when your plants are flowering) is a bit of LST to increase the yield. If you guys have any tips for growing autos outdoors I would love to get some returns. So if any experienced outdoors growers seeing this it would be great to get some advices on how I can improve my outdoor auto grows.
This strain was an impressive grow for me I did not expect to get such large plants. Once I transplanted the plants in the soil they took off. The pheno I got from the one seed that sprouted gave a beautiful 2m Christmas tree shaped plant. The cuttings grew more into bushes and ended up having the densest buds. I did some partial harvest on two of the plants harvesting the first half in the beginning of October including the other plant that I harvested first in one go followed by the first half of the other two a week later and finished harvesting the rest near the end of October I ended up still getting some bud rot on a few branches that stuck out of the shelter I built. It ended up being minor and didn’t spread much. Trimming literally took me a month and a half since I didn't have that much time available at that time. I clearly underestimated how large cannabis could grow and I think I haven’t even seen everything yet. It was such a great experience and I’m planning on more CBD grows this year. I will try to improve on last year and try training some of my plants this time. I’m really glad that I can finally combine my passion for gardening and cannabis.
And Happy fucking 420 everybody hope you’ve all had an amazing day.
