CBD in a Cup(solo cup challenge)

So we are doing the solo cup challenge with this new arrival to the fast buds line up! We will be going from seed to harvest in this 16 oz red Party cup full of sunshine mix #4! Pruning and training her to be short and stocky with minimal stretch and just a few colas to distribute energy to a handful of buds. As opposed to stretch it through a larger plant! Want to have buds worth showing from this so we will have to keep her nice and clean n pristine. Will be intresting to create a feeding schedule for such a micro grow... itll be much more precise to prevent over or under watering and over and under fertilizing . Girls are nice and lively! Done there initial root and are starting to throw off leaves! stretched a little so we dropped the light a few inches to stop that! Been going from full to dry in 2 days so far but that will increase greatly later on! Added a micro feed to there last watering and they responded great! Will do one more of those and rev those nutes a bit more. Will update shortly! Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Growth is moving along decent. Couple more days and I should be able to top these girls and start working on there structure and formation! Introduced a more complex feeding regime! And they reacted phenomenal. There still going from full to dry in 48 hrs but it's just a matter of time before that changes dramatically. Put the sensizyme to work to keep that root zone as nice as possible! We are doing everything we can to nurture these ladies from seed to harvest in those cups with the best end result as possible. Will update shortly Happy growing and stay lit fam! ***UPDATE Thought I'd update on our CBD 20:1 solo cup grows. There growing great seemingly unphased by the restriction of the cup on there root mass. There plugging away throwing of new nodes very tightly together! We topped them both at the 4th node to break the apex dominance and really get those side branches growing! After a few days of filling out these girls will be ready to start tieing down and running LST(low stress training) on there side colas to spread them out into there own open space and pull them out away from the main stalk to really open them up and let that light in on em! The more open the interior of your canopy the more light penetration is possible! resulting in better light coverage to the mid and lower portions of your plant. We will be constantly training and defoliating them to keep them as open as possible and try to limit the vertical growth as much as we can by training the plant to grow more horizontal! Their thirst has increased and they are dry and ready for feed within a day and a half now as opposed to the original 2 day mark. That will greatly increase as we progress. To what I expect to be watering twice daily. One feed with nutrients in the morning and a larger feed with straight ph water at night to re moisten the soil and flush out any left over nutrients the plant didn't consume through out the day leaving me a fresh dry medium to re apply nutes to the following morning. There straight green and lushes 😍 some healthy plants up in those solo cups! Until next update...Happy growing and stay lit fam!

As week 4 begins these girls seem to be done there recouping period and have fully bounced back from being topped! We will let them grow out for a bit than get back on to the lst! We dropped the lights 5 inches to help give em a little lumen boost! We added clay balls to the top of the cups to add stability to the main stalk and to help trap moisture in the medium. Started defoliation and removed the single and 3 bladed leaves from the lower nodes! Gunna keep these babies clean and pristine! My high maintenance bitches lmfao! Been giving straight ph water every other feed until 30% run off to give the roots and the medium a good flush and drain! Dont want these girls to get salt build up on there roots when there already being confined to a solo cup. Nothings gunna stop these girls from making it to the finish line! We finished working on one so I decided to update with her training and I will do an update for the second one a bit later! We rigged up a pot with tomatoes hoops by cutting holes and attaching garden ties. Than elevated the bottom with a empty hydrometer box lol. Than we put a pot saucer ontop that we cut drainage slots into that flow away from the box we applied. Always need proper drainage for runoff. Than we defoliated some fan leaves that were shading colas and preventing them from receiving proper light coverage! Than trained those colas out and away from the main stalk using garden tie to tie them off to the tomatoe hoops (very loose as to not choke out the branch!!!). We want to get all her branches into open space using LST to maximize every colas potential to achieve a modest yield out of this solo cup! So almost over night after grooming these girls and doing some LST these girls started to make a transition into flower. Pistils and pom poms arrived in a quick burst and we are rocking and rolling with these ladies. Today they were dry so I gave them a more transition geared feeding but other than that didnt change a thing! Will update in a few days on how there making out during there transition into flowering ladies! Happy growing and stay lit fam.

These Girls are taking the transition into flower quite well! Bud sites are packing on pistils and are forming buds with a little more character. The plant that was only topped and LST did a decent amount of stretching in the first week of flower. Extending all of its colas very nicely for a bit more LST work. Well the one that was topped LSTed than supercropped and tied down had little to no stretch occur... its growth wasn't stunted as flowers continued to progress. Just actual branch growth seized to exist. Leading me to believe this particular variety doesn't have much tolerance for more aggressive training techniques. I continued opening the plants up by using LST to tie off branches and really spreading them out. The goal is to give every bud the best light coverage possible. They started to transition into flower mid last week, so we switched there nutrient regime. We changed there formula to one more geared for the change into flowering plants... and can I say my timing was spot on. The second they got there first taste of the flowering goodies The bud growth and development went through the roof! Usually at this point we'd have white pistilis pom poms at our bud sites. We have structuring buds that show plenty of character already! All in all these cbd 20:1 cups are going along fabulously! So make sure to keep an eye on these little ladies. The solo cup girls are kicking ass! Moving along wonderfully despite there huge restrictions! Trichomes are starting to coat there flowers! And the plants are doing a nice little bit of bulking! We kept the conditions static to help alleviate the stress of a changing environment! All in all we are doing great! Will update shortly with growth report. Happy growing and stay lit fam!

Buds are developing great nice and frosty and nice size considering the solo cup! One is being flushed and is 2 days in to the 10 days. The other is about a week behind her so she will start getting flushed probably next grow week. The end is near for this solo cup challenge! And the flowers arent to shabby on these cbd 20:1 micros!
