Day 29 update
Did some more defoliation and switched to week 1 of flower nutrients. I blended the grow and bloom nutes at 40% strength and went full strength on my supplements. At 800 ppm. They have demanded a higher then typical ppm and have really thick stalks because of it. The node spacing has gone from extremely close to stretching a bit. My current PPFD at the center is around 600. My CO2 meter comes in later today and the plan is to bump them to 800 then allowing them to grow themselves to 1100 as long as the CO2 reading is above 800.
Day 35 update
Did the last major defoliation today. I’ve been doing LST all week and am very happy with my results. The plants want to get droopy every evening around 2 hours before the lights go out. I believe it’s circadian rhythm so I’ve decreased the amount of light to 18/6 from 20/4. I’ll know soon if this is the issue. I’m learning as I go and believe I’ve gone from the cusp of too much ppm to to little very quickly. Tomorrow I’ll mix up a higher ppm feed in the 900 range. I also lowered the light to 18” from the canopy. I’ll continue to adjust it to maintain around a 1100 PPFD rating in the center.
My stalk is massive and is splitting off into many solid bud sites without topping.
Very happy with my grow so far.
@GreenHouseLab,
Although I typically do I’ve seen arguments against in order to prevent continued nutrient absorption. I haven’t had any issues thus far but my ro water is 6.8
