09/22-09/28 D8-D14 09/23 - Watered 09/25 - Leaves have a strange texture. Probably nutrient related because I have never used amended soil so I am learning. I took a leave clipping and microscoped it. Didn't find any bugs or signs of rot. 09/29 - 10/05 D15-D21 09/29 D15 - SPIDER MITES! They are there! :-/ Thought I might have got lucky. *Ordered Safer 51703 Diatomaceous Earth-Bed Bug Flea, Ant, Crawling Insect Killer* 10/02 D18 - Watered 1/2 gal 2 mg cal-mag. sprinkled Diatomaceous Earth on plant and soil. 10/03 PM D19 - Diatomaceous Earth powder is still on the plant. Got some great replies on ways to get rid of Spider Mites! I like having different options. High hopes for the Diatomaceous Earth. I started LST. Got a GREAT bend on the main! *see pic*

Hi @gavenPh! Spider mites hate humidity/water, neem oil, crushed garlic, soap... You need to treat asap before it spreads. More than a single treatment, you need a pest-prevention-strategy as soon as you plant your seedlings. My strategy is pretty simple and consists in 3 methods: 1) I have an electric atomizer working 10min every hour to diffuse essential oils mixed with fresh water (a few drops of lemongrass, lavender, peppermint...you can find those oils in nature-stores or online). Those oils are repelling insects/pests, they don't like the smell of my room. 2) I spray neem-oil once a week when the light turns off, 10-12 drops of pure neem-oil mixed in a liter of temperated water, this oil is really efficient to kill/disturb/sterilize the invaders. 3) I sometimes use a dedicated foliar spray (BioBizz LeafCoat) in order to create a 'transparent layer' onto the leaves and to protect them from spiders/thrips/moths/miners... In your situation I would spray a solution made of water + neem oil + crushed garlic, at night, onto and below the leaves. Do this at least once a week until the flowering stage. I hope this will help you to get rid of these mites, keep us updated and happy growing 👊

10/06 - 10/12 D22-28 10/07 AM- Watered with about 1/4 gal. Ph 6. Mostly to sink the diatomaceous earth into the soil and wash some off the leaves. New leaves look much better, with no signs of Spider Mites. Will water fully in a few days. Hope to see not signs of spider mites when I do. 10/12 AM - 1/2 Gal. pH 6.2. Weed Easy. 1/8, 1 ml cal-mag+ 10/12 AM - Another Bend *Compare leaves after treatment in pics*

12/15 - 12/21 WHY is a 55-60 day plant taking over 84 days to complete?!! There are still very few amber trichomes on the calyx leaves. I have started a long flush. At least this full week. *Unless something sudden develops. 12/15 PM - 1 Gal @5.9 w/ Blackstrap 12/19 AM - 1 Gal @ 6ish w/ .5 tsp Blackstrap

12/29 - 1/4 -------------- Plant was dark all last week. Lights went off about half cloudy / half clear. Was hoping a week dark would cloudy the rest up. Helped a little but not as much as I wanted. Probably abou 80 cloudy / 20 clear now. -------------- 12/30 AM - 55.4 WWA, 44.5 WWD ---------------------------- 12/31 - Couldn't keep temp below 73. Moved all bags to the garage. Its about 40 out there. I'd like to be in between at around 55-60 but I can't get it. --------------------------------- 1/3 AM - THIS WEATHER SUCKS!!! 40 degrees one day, 60 the next. 40 RHO one day, 90 the next!!! My garage dry was going fine until it started raining yesterday and now the humidity in the garage is about 90!!! :-( I moved my 2x2x4 tent out there and put a dehumidifier and heater in. I set the heater to 59. Should keep it around 60-62. I will check back in the morning. 😣 --------------------------------- 1/4 PM - Went out this morning and checked tent. About 65% RHO and 42 deg. Heater had failed. Power out? Found closet upstairs that was around 67 deg and 55 RHO. Brought bags in. STUNK SOOO BAD! House was overpowered in minutes! LOL Took bags back out and turned heater / dehumidifier back on. When I came home, Temp and RHO were at 55 each. Very noticeable difference in bud dryness. Hoping it keeps up and is ready to jar tomorrow. --------------------------------- 1/5 - Drying well atm. It's about 55 deg. 55 RHO. --------------------------------- 1/6 - Bringing the ladies in! (Rory, Chuck, and Jimmy) 1/6 - About an hour in jar. RHO 69. Put bag in bag. Will check later tonight. 271.3 WWA (Everything above the ground) 202 WWD (Trimmed buds to dry) (**about 7g of dry trim for rosin press**) Total Dry: 47.5 Tents: Topolite 2'x2'x4' 600D Green Architecture 4'x2'x5' 600D Lights: opticledgrowlights 1x OPTIC 1 COB LED Grow Light 54W 3500k COB (Seedling / Early Veg) (120 deg lens for seedling/Early Veg) (90 deg lens for late veg) 1x Optic 1 XL COB LED Grow Light 100w 3500k COB (90 deg lens) Soil: CYCO Platinum Series - CoCo Pearl 70% Royal Gold -Mendo Mix 30% *** MENDO MIX WAS INFECTED WITH SPIDER MITES!!! It was a fun strain to grow. This was one of my first soil plants. I thought I had a spider mite infection at one point but now think it might have just been leaf discoloration that I misdiagnosed. *I was informed by the hydroponic store after planting that the soil might have been infected so I was extra worried. I started using recharge toward the end of the grow but was only able to use it once or twice so I am looking forward to a full grow with it. The buds tightened really well at the end. I started the dark period when trichomes were about 80/20 cloudy/clear. I hoped that a long dark period might develop the trichomes further but I don't think it did. The harvest time was quite longer than the breeders estimate. After my last grow at 18/6 light schedule and this past grow at the same, I have decided to bump up to a 20/4 light cycle. I'm hoping that a 20/4 will cut the harvest time by a good amount. I wet trimmed. The inside temp here is about 70-72 with 45% humidity. I wanted the temp a little lower for a slow dry so I dried in the garage at about 50-55 degrees and 50-60 humidity for about a week. When I jarred, I was at about 70%. Popped the lid a few times for a while and threw in a Boveda pack, down in the low 60s now.
