Seedlings germinated in 24 hours. Planted in soil. Growing under dome this week. Removed dome when first true leaves appeared. Growing under two 54 watt T5s. DAY 1 • 7:45 am - max temp:80.8/min:76.5 • Turn down heat mat one degree to 78 • Reset thermostat max/min • 6:00 pm - NEED TO CHECK SEEDS EVERY 12 HOURS - paper towel had dried out • 6:30 pm - new package of seeds in wet paper towel and plates. Added to grow tent. • Seeds look a lot better, one of the seeds was kind of open on the bottom. • Max: 79.7 / min: 75.4 DAY 2 • 9:50 am. Min:76.5/max:78.9 • Checked moisture. Paper still moist, but a little drier than last night. Sprayed both seed batches • Placed dome over tray. • 6:00 pm - seed from the first batch sprouted. Less than a milimeter, but the radicle is visible. • Both are still moist. Dome is helping to hold in moisture. DAY 3 • 8 am • Max:79.5/min:76.5 • A second seed seems to be sprouting from the first batch • Three of the second set of seeds have popped and are ready to be planted. They are more vigorous than the first batch. Longer radicles. Will be planting today! • 12:30 pm • Three seeds sprouted from the first batch. Three from the second. Leaving unpopped seeds in for a bit longer to see what happens. • Planted six sprouted seeds. • Pots of nutriMix • Watered soil. Used wooden spoon for holes for seeds. Lightly covered in soil. Sprayed seed area with water to ensure adequate moisture. • Ensured seeds were covered in soil. • Lights on! DAY 4 • 10:30am • Fourth seed out of the second batch germinated • Four seeds have popped out of the soil. • One pot had two seeds. Separated with a spoon so as not to expose the roots. • Put split seed and newly sprouted seed in smaller pots to start • 12:45 Seed sewn this morning popped. • Still no sign of two from first batch. • 6:30 • Min:80.2/max:83 • Opened vents 1/4 on each end. DAY 5 • 6:30 am • Min:81.3/max:83.1 • 5:00 pm • Not a lot of change since this morning. A little stretch on some of the seedlings. • Stunted seed looks green down in the hole, but does not appear to be growing. • We have 5 germinated seeds now that seem to be growing. • Added soffit vent screen to lower hole. DAY 6 • 6 am • Not a lot of change. Slight stretch on the stems. DAY 7 • 10 am • One plant has new leaves! Four leaves total • Moved two plants in small pots into larger pots. Both at front of tent. Fingers crossed no damages. Closed vents on both containers to raise humidity (currently at 55%) • Temps maxing out around 83.

Stems seemed a little thin. Experimented in plant C and burried the stem up close to the cotyledons - as high as the pot allowed. Warmer temperatures outside are increasing temps in the tent. Leaving tent open during the day to regulate temps. DAY 15 • Temps and plants are good. • Temperatures are warmer in soil and cooler in air. • High temps are 79ish and lows at 70. DAY 17 • Temps good. Plants dry top inch or so. • Watered everybody. DAY 18 • Temps seem to have inverted. Bottom temp warmer than air. • Everybody growing well. DAY 19 • Plants doing well. • Consistent growth. • Stems below cotyledons not thickening and is a little thin. • Used C as an experiment and burried the stem as far as the pot allowed. • Watered lightly. Enough to thoroughly wet new soil

Week went well. Most plants were up to 5-6 nodes so decided to start the mainline pruning. Did cloning with cloning gel. Want to keep the favorite plant for a mom once all is said and done. Setup the 315w tent this week. Was hoping to move the plants, but had a faulty ballast. Back to the store next week to replace. DAY 23 • Have been checking the plants daily, but not updating the log. • Temps got high this week, probably due to it being a lot warmer outside. • Been keeping the side open, and opened the viewing port on top. The little exhaust fan can't keep up. • Daytime highs were pushing 81/82. With the side open we're keeping it below 80. • Nighttime temps around 70. • Everybody seems happy. The stems seem to be thickening slowly below the cotyledons. • The plant I added more soil to (C)seems ok. The leaf tips have been bending down. Growth hasn't slowed down. 4 days in since buring stem. DAY 25 • Hot and humid day yesterday. • Temps topped out around 82. • Low temp 76 • Had door to room closed. Room was warmer then rest of basement. • C looks as good as the other plants now. No signs of stress. DAY 26 • A,B, and E were ready for water. • Probably ready yesterday, did a foiliar spray with b52. • No growth since yesterday. Possibly due to lack of water? • Will be trimming and cloning soon!! DAY 28 • Plants had s growth spurt after watering. • Started mainline • Topped to third node. Cleaned growth below. • Rooting gel and soil for cut tops. • Foliar spray several times daily on cuttings. B-52. • Switching light cycle to be off from 11am-5pm. Starting with on for 24 hours. Will set new off time tomorrow.

A bit of a rough start with the clones. Thinking I've got the bugs out now, if these don't take will be pruning again so will have another chance. Vegetative plants are doing great. DAY 31 • Plants are doing well. • Clones are still living. No growth yet. • Fan leaf put in for cloning is dying. • Other clones seem ok. • Continuing with B52 foliar multiple times a day. • Topped plants are showing growth. There was a stall one day after cutting, the second day we have noticable growth. • Switching light cycle to coincide with Hydro rates. Off during day during peak Hydro. • Went lights on for 24 hours. Switch off time from 11pm-5am to 11am-5pm. Hoping this doesn't shock them. • Will be moving plants once 315 is set up. • Had 400 watt running. Temps didn't exceed 79 degrees. • Got replacement ballast today. Light is working well. • Running test to see how temps/fans run during the day. • Moved plants into new tent. • Top of A is 38" from light. • A and B needed water. C and E were still wet. DAY 32 • Plants spent their first day under the big light. • Tips of leaves are a little yellow. Monitor for progression. • Max temp overnight at 77.8. Min 73 • Clones are still ok. A is looking a little scraggly at the top. Continue foliar spray on clones. DAY 33 • Main plants growing well. • Watered C and E. • C was still heavy, but quite dry on the top. Worried this was due to roots not being through the whole pot, so watered thoroughly. • Noticable growth since yesterday. Looks like the plants are enjoying the new light. More stable temps in the new tent as well. • Thinking of re-potting this weekend. • Day 4 on the clones. • A and B clones not looking the greatest. C and E are looking ok. Thinking the constant foliar spray is the only thing keeping them alive at this point. At least they're still green, but one of As leaves has turned upside down. • Worried they were getting too much light. Unplugged one of the T5s. Down to 55 watts. • Sprayed the inside of the dome and tray in an effort to increase humidity. • Thinking next time I should attempt clones in peat pellets or a smaller container. DAY 34 • Explosion of growth since yesterday! • A, B, and E had really noticeable growth. C appears to have stalled. • Moved the fan up a little as it was really giving the plants a workout. • Been gradually moving light closer to plants. Down to 27" to top of A. • Clones day 5 • Tug test on B2 and I think it has roots. A2 not so much. • Clones responded well to water spray in the dome and floor of dome. • Took it a step further today and poured water in the bottom of the tray. • Turned off the light this morning. Gonna leave them in the dark til it's lights on again in a little over 12 hours. DAY 35 • Plants are noticably growing daily. • C still stalled. • A and B pots are noticably lighter. Drinking way more water. Should repot in the next few days. • Clones day 6. • Major improvements with increased humidity. Keeping water in the grooves of the seedlings trays. Having to refill twice daily. • They all are looking very healthy at this point.

DAY 37 • Repotted all the plants • Started training the branches • Used metal hangers, cut into 12" lengths and folded. Working nicely. • Had to move the light up - bigger pots • 5 gallon fabric pots • Light is now 24" above the top of A • Clones • Moved the thermostat from under the lid and fed it into a vent hole. Much better humidity in the tray now. • No movement on the clones yet, but everybody is still nice and green. DAY 38 • Plants really move to the light quickly. • Had to move training wires as the ends had turned up. • No slowing in growth from repotting. Everybody is trucking along. • Clones • No change. Still look healthy, but no noticable differences. • Opened vents all the ways. • Starting to wonder if I should take them off life support and remove the humidity domes. DAY 39 • Getting close to the final snip for mainline. 4th node is starting on all plants, except C • Screwed up light schedule. Had the light set to stay on and not follow the schedule. Happy we're still in veg! • Clones • Too much humidity for too long. Some white fuzzies growing on the soil surface. • Treated fuzzies and took domes off. Sink or swim ladies! • Thankful we have another trimming to attempt clones. DAY 41 • On the verge of pruning A and B. C and E are a few days behind. • Adjusted temps yesterday. Tried pushing daylight up to 80. Temps read 80.8. Plants not happy. Minor curling up of the leaves. • Adjusted day temp down to 76ish. Will verify once they stabilize. Also pushed night temps down to 66ish. • Read on a website argyle like cooler 72 degree day temps for flowering. Makes sense the veg would be cooler. • A few hours later and everybody looked happy again. • Let the trimming commence! A, B, and E had their final manifold trimming. C isn't quite there yet. • Clones • Day 3 with no dome. • Turned on the second light yesterday so we're back up to 108 watts of T5 on the clones • No drying or dieing of the clones, but no growth yet either. Hoping they stick.

DAY 43 • All good in the hood. • Clones showing signs of life! DAY 45 • Everybody seems happy. • Watered A and B. C might need it tomorrow. E the day after. • B is getting strong. Pulled out my coat hanger training piece to turn to the light! • New training with clothes pins and plant wire. • C has finally grown four nodes on each side. Pruned for the manifold. • Clones • By George I think we've done it! • All clones are showing signs of life and are perky and praying for the light. • C is still the runt of the litter. Guess genetics really do play a role. • Watered all the clones except C. DAY 46 • Looking like steady growth from all • Watered C and E. • Clones • All good. • Watered C DAY 47 • Good growth from all except C • Added the 400 watt HPS today. It's about 36" above the plant. • Had it turn on for a couple of hours before lights out. Currently on a 12 hour schedule. Planning on ramping up to the full 18 over a few days. • 315w still at 18 hours. DAY 48 • Nobody hates the new light. Pushed it up to 16 hours on for this cycle. Turns on an hour after the CMH and off and hour before. • Vigorous growth on A and B. • E growing well, but tighter internodes and smaller leaves. • C is about a week behind. • Clones • Everybody looks happy. • C is happy, but showing less growth. DAY 49 • C is starting to grow out from the nodes – barely • There was a critter in the grow room. One of the leaves on B had a hole in it. Searched all plants, under the leaves, everywhere. No sign of our predator. • Placed diatomaceous earth on the soil around all the plants. • Slight training on A and B to keep them level. Almost at the edges of the pot now, will be letting them grow up.

DAY 50 • Lowered the 400HPS to the same level as the CMH. On for the full 18 hours cycle now. • Broken record with C lagging behind. Murphy's law this will be the plant with the best bud. • Been rotating the plants ¼ turn each day. • Now rotating their positions clockwise to account for the new light so everybody get the same lighting. • Lots of new growth every day. Hoping to switch to flowering by the end of the month. Aiming for a 16" height on the plants before flipping to 12/12. • Very close on letting A and B grow up. Training them out to the edges of the pot before that happens. Then it'll just be training to keep the tops level. • Clones • Status quo on the clones. DAY 51 • Noticible growth since yesterday • Introduced jungle juice in the mix. Just gonna do it this one time and then again as recommended at the beginning of 12/12. • Watered a and b • C is showing new growth!! • E is steady as she goes. • Clones • New growth on all clones. Watered them all. DAY 52 • Watered E • Everybody else is good. DAY 53 • Watered C. • Everybody else is good. DAY 54 • All healthy. • Working on maintaining an even canopy. • Still training some plants down. Mostly about 5" tall, but B is 14" wide. A is 11" • Haven't been training C down much at all. Letting it be the same height as others. It's still the runt. • A and B pots are feeling lighter. Girls are starting to drink lots!! • Clones • Strong growth on all clones. DAY 55 • Watered A and B. • Can hardly see the pot through B. • Heater during dark cycle is working well. Have it on low for 10 minutes at the top of each dark hour to activate the fan. • Clones • All good. Everybody is healthy and growing new leaves.

Yeah slightly clawed but nothing really bad. A bit over water’d too. At least it has plenty enough Nitrogen stocked for the stretch.

Switched to 12/12 today. Had a slight watering issues on C, which led me to notice the beginnings of a nitrogen OD on the other plants. Minimal defoliation at the bottom of the plants. Just making room for air and to be able to get in to water. Thank you grow diaries peeps for helping diagnose! Starting the flowering cycle with a throughough flush - 8-10 liters per plant. Will be resuming nutes at 1/2 strength on the next watering.

About four inches of growth the first week of flowering. Reconfigured the ventilation system as the soil was starting to get cold. Added air flow dampeners to intake and exhaust. Added another ocsillating fan on the bottom. Removed the ducting on the intake fan that was putting the air at the bottom of the tent. Temps are more stable at the bottom and the soil is warming up. A little more trimming on the bottom of the plants. Not as much stretch as I thought would happen on the first week of flowering.

Pruned some of the lower branches early in the week. The new air circulation system is much better. Consistent temps on the soil. Everybody looks super healthy. Starting to get resin development. Vertical growth is slowing down across the board. Looks like they're putting their energy into flowering.

Flowers look like they're getting bigger. Everybody seems happy. The leaves at the bottom of B are slowly going yellow. Been tucking the big leaves to expose flowers. Starting to drink more water. The roots are super dense. The soil crunches when sticking in the moisture meter. Will be interesting to see the root balls at harvest.

Leaves on big girl B continue to yellow. Removing them as they break when gently bending down. Haven't noticed any health issues. Getting frostier and the buds seem to be getting bigger. No growth in height. Wondering how long the buds will continue to expand. They are pretty dense.

Plants going well. Did a light defoliation today. Switched to overdrive. Also added bud candy and sensizyme. Might be subjective, but the one plant that got the new nutes seemed to perk up the next day. Noticed fungus gnats on the clones. Added yellow stickies and diatomaceous earth as a preventative measure.

Plants look good. Leaves are fading yellow. A little burning around the edges on one plant, but we're so close to harvest I'm not overly concerned. Backed off on the nutes. The smell is really starting to come out now and the plats are getting super sticky. The odd trichome is going amber, but still a lot of clear. Calendar says another two to three weeks before harvest. Depending on how things develop will probably start a water flush next week.

We're getting close now! Was debating on flushing the largest of he plants, but decided to give it another nutrient cycle. Patience is hard to find when you're this close to harvest. We're looking at a lot of frosty trichomes, but not so many amber. It's my understand the amber trichomes are a sign the CBD of the plant is developing. Looking to harvest when we're around 20-30% amber. So far we're less than 5%. This is the start of week 9 from 12/12. Hard to do it justice in the photos, but this sure is a pretty plant. The fall colours are coming out and this thing is beautiful!

Looks like a female calyx bud. I had that too with my outdoor grow a few years ago. Almost cut her untill I found some extra information on this subject 😁 don't worry about it. Beautiful plant by the way

The fade is strong this week. Flushed today and will be doing a full harvest as soon as the soil is dry. Difficulty finding accurate information on CBD development in relation to trichomes. Some places say amber for CBD, others say it develops with THC in the cloudy phase and only CBN is developed with amber trichomes. Given the heavy fading and fall colours of my plants, and the sparse amber I'm inclined to say they're ready for harvest and amber has little to do with CBD. This is a 50/50 strain.

We grow it to help with MS symptoms. Main benefit is spasticity and muscle spasms. From the breeder: Argyle from Tweed is an indica-dominant strain similar to Nordle. It has a balanced THC-to-CBD ratio and low to medium THC potency. Its dense, verdant green buds are accented by orange hairs, and its terpene profile (myrcene, found in lemon grass and thyme; linalool, in lavender, mint and cinnamon; caryophyllene, in black pepper and cloves; limonene, in citrus fruits and juniper; and humulene, found in hops and coriander) combine to give it clove-like notes with earthy hints.

Tastes great in the vape. Packed away in bottles to cure, not sure how important that is as it's mostly going into canna oil. First round of oil seems ok. Will see how medicinal it is after a few weeks. The plants kept to 8 branch mainline were much easier to harvest. Next time will not be keeping the little branches. Harvested a branch off each plant a week before the final harvest and just before flushing. Definitely on team flush. Plants had a better flavour and smell after drying compared to the non-flushed, early harvest.

Hello BlueBerry7720, what i can read from your information. I would raise my humidity if its 30% thats too low at this stage. It should be around 60% Keep on growing. Peace 👍

@BlueBerry7720, i understand. Humidity can be a big pain in the ass and is a lot of times overlooked in my opinion thats why i also pointed it out. Good luck my friend. 👍

@BlackCousin,Thanks! I have the exhaust/intake fans set on a thermostat. Intake comes directly from outside. It cycles on/off about 10 times an hour. The humidity is a bit of a pickle as it fluctuates between 30% and 60%

I noticed that the perlite in your soil in browning. I've been told that is a sign of over-watering. How much are you giving them?
BlueBerry7720
BlueBerry7720commented5 years ago
@Dubb79,More or less 5 litres each time I water. They're in 5 gallon fabric pots. Gives me lots of run off. In the beginning it was about once a week, now I'm watering about every three days. They're planted in ProMix HP.

@BlueBerry7720, Ah, gotcha. Would still be interested to know what volume of water they are getting 😀
BlueBerry7720
BlueBerry7720commented5 years ago
@Dubb79, Watering only when the soil is dry. I have a stick in moisture meter and also do the lift test to confirm. I imagine the browning perlite is from the soil and nutrients.

Looks like a good crop man!! Were the buds heavy on resin? Looking forward to further updates with dry weight.

@Dubb79, they were super sticky and full of resin. Very satisfied with our first run. Was pretty exciting cutting them last night discovering the size of the buds when we trimmed the leaves away.

Hi again. I am also growing Nordle and am very interested in following your diary. Your grow is 8 weeks ahead of mine. I have a few questions... How many light fixtures are you using? What is the total watts for lighting being used? Do you have multiple air circulation fans? How long do you expect to flower them for? Thanks eh!! 👽
BlueBerry7720
BlueBerry7720commented5 years ago
@Dubb79, The first month or so was under two 55W T5s. Moved under a 315W CFL after that. Added a 400W HPS around week 6. Total watts: 715. Two air circulation fans, one oscillating just above the canopy. One stationary under the canopy blowing away from the active intake and towards my ceramic heater. The heater comes on once an hour on low during darkness to trigger the exhaust fan system. A 6" duct fan exhausted outdoors. 4" active intake from outdoors. 6" passive intake on the bottom as well. The fans are controlled by thermostat. From what I can find, expecting flowering to last 8-9 weeks.
