Georgette_piglet Dipping in water and then soak in paper towel worked fantastic to bring out the roots! They look strong. 👍 Off to a good start for week 1 of vegetation!

Georgette_piglet 24 hour light did not work out. My light is not bright enough (still waiting for LEDs) so seedlings are super leggy. Also realized that I didn't bury the seed deep enough except for one so they are leggy and thin. The one that did get enough depth is a lot shorter even though it is the farthest from the light. Brushing them and blowing air on them now when watering to trick them into growing thicker, hopefully it will work. Switched to 18/6 schedule so leaves have enough time to grow bigger instead of stem getting taller. Considering giving plant food now that they are coming up pretty healthy. Will see how they react. LEDs will be here in 2 days!

Any tips on fixing leggy sprouts would be appreciated... The stem is so skinny they look like they can bend over and snap any time. Also wondering about what to feed the little ones. I bought bone and blood meal from store, is it sufficient for the seedlings?

I've grown Crop King Purple Kush a number of times now, and your seedlings look good to me. They are wee babies, but they will grow up big and strong. Make sure the dirt around the base is nice and firm but not too firm. Make sure you water them very carefully until the roots are deep and strong. In a week or two, you'll see they are just fine. When growing in soil, the seedlings don't need additional nutrients... Your LEDS will make all the difference.

Hi @Georgette_piglet! Lack of light and a poor airflow often lead to these symptoms. You can always add more soil into the container, to support the stem at its basis, but be warned this can bring root-rot if you put the plant deep into the ground. The best thing to do is to decrease your lamp-to-plant distance and add a small oscillating fan, in order to get a continuous fresh breeze onto these babies, this will reinforce the stems. On the nutrients side, silica can also help to get strong stalks. Let me know in the comments section if you need any further information, and happy growing! 👋
