Week 2 Flowering
Pics by mid week of Week 2
Sept 14, 2019
SFV recovered well from losing it's main branch. Leaves are very green and health. Venom is growing very quickly. Started using LST and Fimming techniques.
Week 3 flowering has been a success so far. These are posted Mid to end of Week3. The fan leaves are big. Good ventilation. 75 in the tent.
Technique: Using wire ties to LST and take up more tent.
Topping
Fimming
Week 4 Flowering is by far the most difficult week I've faced so far from leaf death from nitro deficiency/phosphorus deficiency/root isusues. Overall feel good about the results though after I fixed these issues.
Techniques used:
- Ziptie LST
Problems Encountered:
- Nitrogen Deficiency
- Leaf death from slight root issues + Nitrogen Deficiency
- Slight Temperature issues - was hitting 89F at one point
Fixes:
- Added fans - changed locations for better ventilation
- Added Hydro guard this week for root issues (Fixed very quickly - highly recommend
- one branch with main nugs almost broke from LST - i ziptied to fix
The Venom OG is looking dank. Really fluffed up the buds. Used the topping of nugs technique to get fatter buds. Venom OG is drinking almost 0.75-1Gallon per day.
LST'd a little harder than I needed to to spread the plant out to take up more space.
Used wire ties as support
Used Tape to mend the bends
Temperature in hometown fluctuating in 70-80F
Nugs are getting huge. The branches are hardly able to hold up the nugs. Using Ties and hooks to keep them upward.
The purple color and milky trichs are showing in its true form right now.
SFV is recovering well. The main branches are showing bright hairs and are starting to plump up. Slower than the Venom though...
It's Fleet Week and about 80F during the day.
Trichs: Close up picture as of 10/13/19
looks 25-30% milky - still pretty clear on the bulbs. 2-3 weeks out harvest is ETA.
Week 7 -
-Overdrive added
-Nugs are weighing the branches down even more - using support from sidewalls of tent
-Trichombs are about 20-30% cloudy right now - some browning
-Some slight nitro deficiency which was fixed by adding nutes
-500ish PPM
-5.6-6.2 PH
-Warm+Cold days in bay area. Tent is 75-88F. Out door temps are 55-75F
-Nugs are huge and almost the size of baseballs. Use a 1 GALLON bottle which seems small vs. nugs
Final week - really deep dank aromas coming from the plants. Used the microscope to check if the trichs were ready. We're at about 70% milky 30% ambers. The SFV OG is pretty dry tbh but VENOM is looking great.
I grew VENOM OG and SFV OG and both were great strains. VENOM was huge and very strong aroma. Love the way it smokes- very smooth and perfect chill high. SFV OG had some minor root bacterial growth which can be seen in the roots.
