So i pinched off the top of The main cola Two days ago (you can see in the picture added toady) the plant has gone nuts, big bushels of new white pistils and All the other cola tips all grew 3/4 inch over night. You can see the new tip growth in pictures. Those are just a few of the many new tips. Weird!!!

Hey, looks good mate. I'm growing purple kush as well. How long have you been flowering yours? Mine are just about to start the 3rd week but seem to be coming along very nicely. Have heard if you drop the temp when they're dark will turn the buds purple. Dont know how true it Is. Have any advice on this strain??

@Newfie420CB, Good advice. I'll be setting up my 2nd tent as I've found the gelato from cks likes a more humid and warm temps. Either way I'm excited as my purple kush is looking like it will be done first but who knows. I'll be watching your grow. Good luck and thanks again.

@Ronaldcamp, Hi, im using Crop King Purple Kush seed. My first attempt at this plant was a total bust. Got big buds the first time around but like zero tricomes, it hermied and i let it flower almost 15 weeks. That being said it was my first grow and when i went into flower i turned the beg, blue spectrum, light off and solely went with bloom, red spectrum, light, big mistake lol. So my first attempt i may have messed up, the 3 other plants in the same tent under same lights turned out amazing. So only advice i got was where it is a Kush strain they like a dryer environment so make sure you dont over water/feed it. Last time i found i ended up with a cal/mag deficiency with this one strain so make sure your adding cal/mag to your mix. My growers rec grow time for this seed is 8-10 wks, im using LED lights so ive read due LED light wavelength not being the same as say HPS orMH you add 2 weeks to those times. Make sure to get your nute mix right for this one as she is touchy, and make sure you dont get the light too close. Its a Kush, Kush strains come from Afghanistan, so think of a dessert mountain side climate as where this plant wants to thrive. Last round i got my night temp down to 12-14°C towards the last few Weeks. My wedding cake turned this amazing Barney purple and was incredible! I had high hopes but like i said the last of the flowering was a bust.

do you find it really kushy? interesting strain, i've always been curious how this strain would grow, look forward to staying updated. Im in week 2 right now and excited to see how it goes

@Kid_Colombia, in what way do you mean Kushy? The leaves thinned out quite a bit at week 4 last 2 grows. Big yield plant, Topped It twice and super cropped half early on. Very thick stalks and big stringy kabab colas. Has a very earthy aroma..

Hi @Newfie420CB! Your medium looks flooded with water. This will lead to serious issues, such as root rot, nutrients deficiencies, slow growing... and eventually the death for your baby. Roots need to be on a wet/dry cycle to properly develop and spread for water. Too much water make the roots/plant suffocate. After each watering, let the soil dry a bit, once it's almost dry then water with 15-20% of the container's capacity. Never water with more than 25% of the container's capacity, or you'll risk an overwatering scenario. @Stick, thanks for the tip, i usually wait until my pot is fairly light before adding water, today is day 7 and ive given them one light feeding and two normal feedings. I did not know about the 25% water/pot size though so thanks for the info!!

i was thinking of harvesting mine but yours seem to be about a week behind mine and yours looks awesome. might have to leave mine for another week just starting to get small purple tinge on my leaves

Thanks Cbalderson60! I did not know seedling/veg should have a ph that high! I was keeping plain water at ph of 6.0 and nute feedings ph of 6.3-6.5
