Growing indoor behind a window, still really requires a light. I bought a cheap light, which properly seems to boost this plant compared to my other one, when I did not had a light yet.
Seems I've a bit of bad luck with Thrips again (so far only spotted one on one day only). Will have to introduce my home prepared biological garlic solution again to deter them.
The helping light is very important, this time the plant has a very faint smell already in the second week. Could not find any Thrips this week (luckily I hope).
I might be off a week here, as I didnt really post updates in a while. She grew big, the LED light is clearly not enough as she starts to grow tall and I should think in investing in a fan. As the stem is somewhat sturdy but easily influenced by water droplets on the leaves.
End of week 8: As the bottom young leaves are starting to turn pale green, I am currently gambling on a Nitrogen deficit. Which makes sense in this time period. Will be closely monitoring them in order to be sure. Hopefully with the solution addition it will be sufficient, worst case I'll have to prep something quickly.
Where the small growing light of 12watt was sufficient in the very first few weeks of the grow.
It is clearly not sufficient anymore. The lower leaves (including big ones) are starting to die off.
I swallowed the bullet and invested some money in a low budget decent growing light.
Expecting arrival somewhere next week.
No nutrients this week, going to flush it with water only.
Also bought a Mars Hydro TS-1000 and designated growing Secret Jarding Hydro Shoot 60 tent.
A bit late in the growing, but as you can see from the bottom view the lowest leaves died off due to highly likely lack of light.
This week I actually stumbled onto a paper "Irrigation Management Strategies for Medical Cannabis in Controlled Environments" from (at that time) Master student of the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada). Debunking the idea of water flushing your weed plant. Therefore I will apply additional nutes to the water, on the slightests occurance of missing nute symptoms.
With the limited resources used (no pH meter, no professional light, etc) I was able to get a decent grow albeit small indoors. The taste and effect is superb and fantastic! Homegrown is so much better then getting a stash from an unknown source.
I can really recommend the RQS products. Encountered some troubles with trips, overstretching due to poor light, poor unstimulated root growth due to lack of artificial wind, and nitrogen deficiency.
Overall I cannot complain due to the limited amount of resources used for this growth. This also proofs how strong and resilient the strain is.
