Week One - This girl sits behind the other LSD-25 grow. For some reason she's growing a little bit slower than her bigger sis, even though they popped dirt at the same time. Her leaves are wrinkled up so she's going to stretch out fairly soon.
Day 8 - She's still a little bit behind her twin, but she's growing daily and looking fairly good. In retrospect I'll probably skip using the rapid rooters from now on, in soil.
Day 14 - This girl *seems* to be healthy, but she's going slowly compared to her sister, and she's really wrinkly. Odd pheno? Grow conditions are identical so I'm not sure. I'mm assuming she'll cross some sort of event horizon and catch up at this point.
Day 15 - She's just plain way smaller than her sister, which getting the same treatment. She's got growth daily but she's just small and he leaves are really wrinkled.
Day 19 - The girls are now starting to be bent under the net. Let the training begin!
Day 21 - Well I mean she LOOKS stunted, in the sense that she's much smaller than her sibling, but she's also got very strange, wrinkly leaves so she might just have a weird phenotype. She's growing at the same relative rate as the other plants, just more small-y.
Day 22 - Into the fourth week! She's still small and odd looking but thriving, so I'll let her make her best attempt. Decided to dust cinnamon over her medium to protect against some little black flies I've seen around. Also put up some pest sheets.
Day 28 - She's still growing. Her leaves are sorta curved down and she's still behind her sister, but she's respectable now, if odd.
Day 29 - She still growing strong, but there's something fundamentally wrong with her. Her leaves continue to be really wrinkly and clawed, even though she's not being drowned and is being treated similarly to all the other girls. Training is working but she's just sorta not thriving the same way the others are.
Day 35 - It's the end of week 5! So she's thriving? I mean she looks pale, her leaves are wrinkled and cupped, but she just keeps getting bigger every day. She's just got weird genes it looks like. She's not particularly smaller than the other girls in the grow now, but with the weird leaves it kind of looks like it.
Day 36 - Beginning of week six! Yeah she's just weird. I mean I keep saying it but there's nothing much else to say. She's healthy, but her leaves are just plain wrong. She's big enough not to be a dud, technically, so I'm just rolling with it. Mutations can sometimes be good so let's hope so.
Day 42 - End of week six! Flowering has begun!
Day 43 - Into week seven! The entire grow is passed all the smaller bumps in the road at this point, and everyone seems to be fairly robust. All girls are showing off sex and the vast majority are starting to go pom pom on me. Flowering is AWN. While this girl is obviously a weirdo mutant, she's still doing alright. I expect her yield to be less than stellar, however. Rolling slowly over from Maxigro to Maxibloom at this point, as all the girls started showing (very early) phosphorous deficiencies on the lower fan leaves.
Day 50 - Hey! We're on week eight! All the girls are doing well. The DWC girls asked for some special care over the last few days and got it. (Just a reservoir refresh) All of the rest and doing just peachy!
Day 57 - The Beginning of week nine! The girls have gotten a carpet bombing of treatments for a heretofore mild fungus gnat issue. I have ONE soil plant in the grow, and that seemed to have been the instigator of the issue. Mosquito Bits once a week and Neem Oil in their feed will hopefully knock them out fairly hard. The plants haven't shown any sort of signs of impaired growth so I'm pretty sure I've headed it off before any sort of real issue can evolve.
Day 59 - Gadzooks! A major ball dropping has occurred. This girl hasn't started flowering yet! She's at the back of a SCROG, of course, so I can't flip her to 12/12 to see of she'll start flowering until the rest of the grow is done, so I may , in a week or so, just have to go ahead and prune her back and wait until she recovers.
Week Ten! The grow is going well. The fungus gnats are nowhere to be seen apart from on some yellow sticky sheets, and every girl is flowering up nicely. Aggressive defoliation and dead leaf removal is happening on their underbellies every day now. Things are looking great!
Day 71 - Into Week Eleven! It looks like this grow is going to go a little longer than the previous two. The combination reason is that I've got the lights a little bit higher in this grow, and the overall temperature in the grow room is averaging fifteen degrees (F) lower than the last grow. It's much easier to keep my grow warm than it is to keep it cool, and the Spring/Summer grows ran upwards of 85f at points, for days at a time.
This grow has been sitting at a solid 72f the entire way through. As a result, humidity is better, growth is larger overall, and they're just gonna go a couple weeks longer than the last grow. A fair trade AFAIAC.
The Mutant Weirdo LSD-25 girl is... worth keeping her alive? He leaves are still clawed, which is obviously genetic at this point, and her overall color is extremely pale. I'd almost say it's got some sort of albinism going on. As a result of her more pale growth, she seems to be reaching much, much closer to the light to get flowered up. There's an extra pic, side view, to show off her weirdness. She's monstrously large and stretchy, but she's flowering and looking good overall, so I'm glad I didn't pull her when she started looking weird.
Day 78 - The grow is nearing the end! The Gold Glue DWC will be harvested this week, along with anyone else who looks ready. (I think it's just gonna be her, but her Coco sister is on the edge as well.)
Freakshow here is a foot taller than her sister and eighteen inches taller than most of the rest of the grow. Her flowers are finally looking purple as well. She lagged behind, but now she's basically a murtie freak in charge.
Day 83 - She's gotten her first chop! She's a stupid huge monster, as the first pic shows. (6 Gallon pot) Her sugar leaves are teeny tiny so she was a meticulous trim, but this strain smells so good that it didn't bother me to spend a little extra time. :-D I'll update here when I do her second chop.
Day 102 - Final numbers! Between the two girls we're sitting at 11.66 ounces! As always, they smell great and look purple as all get out!
Harvest 2 is in! There's still quite a bit more though, so there will be a harvest 3. :-D Wet and projected dry totals updated.
@CrookedyNook, It must be a weirdo mutant freak pheno thing. I mean it's growing fine, but man... Cupped wrinkly leaves that early on made me think I was constantly over watering her, which, in coco wasn't really possible.
@CRiSPrGrow, It's the most boringest answer ever :-D.
Lots of light, Maxigro, Maxibloom, Mammoth P near the end (Home brewed). PH usually at around 5.9.
Just trust your nutes, don't get fancy, (Maxi series is a pretty cheap and simple powder) and, in the case of coco, water with feed once a day, every day. This grow has had a water feed ONCE, at day 75. Nutes every time. See a minor deficiency or burn on the tips? Watch it, but don't do anything unless it gets worse over several days.
A decent amount of airflow. (But not blowing everything around.
Nutes are mixed in a 15 gallon barrel with a wood wine mixing paddle. 9-10tsp of nutes for 15 gallons water. So a 2/3 mix rather than a full dose.
Train 'em, (I do actual LST, no topping) do slow defoliation, (Mostly at the bottom, but also to make room between colas once pompoms come on strong.) Defoliation should be aggressive at the bottom of the plant, but not all at once. By the end of the grow, they are *Almost* lolipopped, but not really.
Keep pests out.
That is literally all I do, apart from keeping the room clean every day.
Hey there!
