Soaked seed in water 12 hours. Set in paper towel 1 day. Planted in coco buffered and mixed with some diatomaceous earth for pest control. That's what the blue fish tank rocks you see are too. I'll add more of those once the stem gets thicker.
Once she broke ground she yeeted that seed casing the hell across her pot. Have her in a humidity dome. Water 2x daily until runoff. Feeling good.
3rd grow ever. 1st mephisto.
I was away half the week, I'm thrilled with how good she still looks. I wish I could defeat these gnats once and for all, I don't like the discoloration signs in her leaves this early. Huge leaves, even the cotyledons are big.
Still very excited about this first Mephisto grow.
Went away again, darn that real life. She faired beautifully while I was gone. She kicked signs of the gnat problem and is growing fan leaves the size of my head. I'm mostly tucking leaves but I did pinch off two giant leaves blocking light to lower growth. She is staying really squat so far, let's see what these next two weeks bring. No more trips on the horizon so lots of time for TLC.
On day 22 I attempted to tie her dominant cola to the side some for a little LST. It is thicc with two cs and I didnt risk breaking it. So the amount of bend isn't much but I'm hoping it breaks apical dominance.
Continuing strong. So bushy. Doing some light defoliation. Moved to once daily fertigation. Fan leaves are huge. No sign of flowers yet (can't wait!). Very happy with how strong she looks.
This was a strong week. I lowered the light and held strong at 1x daily fertigation. Gnats are almost completely gone. LST is going good. I think shes a little behind other plants showing strong flowers at day 36, but I see good signs this morning, I can be patient.
Ordered a bulking formula, adding starting in week 6.
Shes so short. I'm getting nervous about yields. My other two plants, under a less strong light, were 2-3ft tall at this point. At less than 8 inches tall I'm worried that she's going to be a lot of work for little product. I wish I had topped her.
Her bud sites are getting nice and hairy.
I trim leaves every few days.
Serious flowering this week. Buds are filling in. Orange hairs joining white on some spots. Putting on serious frost. I took off way less leaves this week. Went back up to 2x daily fertigation.
So much frost! Her bud structures are fattening and filling in, and she's coating her upper fan leaves with thick frost. She looks beautiful even though she's a short squat little girl. No signs of pink pheno, oh well.
#2moreweeks !
Very quiet week. She's bulking up. I fear rot, she's so tiny and compact. I take a look around every day and she's got a dedicated small fan circulating air up through the canopy from underneath. She's resisting fertigation. She gives runoff out the airpot sides almost immediately. I give very little water to avoid inciting the gnats, but I'm afraid she's got issues inside the root structure/grow medium.
Was hoping to chop next week. I can't tell cloudy from clear trichomes, but they do look all alert and puffy and no sign of amber yet. Keeping on keeping on.
Shes putting on density this week. Still not taking much water, but strong. Taking on a pink hue to the light green.
I could definitely let her go at least another week and increase my yield, but I'm going to chop her tomorrow.
Overall this is a short thick plant. I tried to do LST but the main stem was so thick I could barely move her. She *definitely* would have added weight if I let her go another week or 2. Overall, a hearty little plant I wasn't quite experienced enough to maximize. Very happy with what I got and what I learned. Put a Pink Panama in her spot. Starting that diary next week.
Just wanted to say I'm right there with you on day 36, my girl looks exactly the same. I got discouraged by others showing early flower growth, but I'm glad we are in this together! Edit: I've uploaded my diary so far as well. Thanks again for sharing!
She looks so pretty!! I'm gonna miss your updates, but happy chop day tomorrow! Any idea what you'll plant next? I'm on the fence with like 18 different Meph beans lol
@ufgrow, that "Ewok OG" as they're calling it on reddit seems like a sturdy tall beefy plant. Why not give that a try for a switch up from the shorter bushy girls? Whatever you pick, I'll be following along.
@GalaxyToteBabe, excellent choice! I have a few pink panamas coming whenever my order gets processed. I'm debating between that and a 3bog x skywalker freebie I got with my last order. That one should be a gorgeous plant! Best of luck, I'll be sure to follow along with your pink panama grow too!
Looks delicious! I'm hoping to harvest by New Year's, we'll see. Can't wait to follow along with your Pink Panama journey! That will probably by my Q2 grow after I try out Ewok OG!
Oh no! Sorry to hear about the potential root issues, I hope it doesn't get any worse. Fingers crossed for you! Bud sites are looking great, by the way - you'll get your harvest soon enough! I can't wait to see the results!
