She took 5 days to show her head and at first she still had her shell on, this was removed with humidity and gently peeling off. After 6 hours the leaves were still stuck tightly together and another 12 after that I saw her struggling to seperate so I decided to intervene. I'm glad I did because there was another layer, almost like a second husk, and after successfully removing this without damaging the leaves she was able to fully open by the next morning. Apologies for forgetting to take photos of that...
But now we are off to the races! She's opened up and faced the light. Now I water when dry (pH 6.5-6.8 for dry amendments in coco) and I won't have to do anything until day 28 when I will top dress early due to the small pot size.
I feel like I've had slower growth with this girl than all my others, but for the first few days the humidity was only 10-20%rh, I'm sure growth is going to be much better now I have that sorted.
She's taken a little while to get to this stage but I'm pretty sure we will see an increase in the rate she is growing.
I'm concerned about the size of my pot and making sure I'm feeding her enough with the organic slow release amendments I use.
This girl is tiny and looks like she will stay tiny. I'm sure the 1 gal pot didn't help but WOW! The weird thing is that compared to the SAD in a 1 gal that I just recently harvested (5gm dry bud 😣) this girl has had an amazing environment.. Maybe she just got all the "stay small" genetics..
Watering pHd between 6.5-6.8 when dry.
She is super tiny! Hopefully she smokes nice.. started pumping out the pistils like crazy, hoping she just gets super fat as she wont be getting too much bigger than this..
Top dressed on day 39.
Watering when dry pHd between 6.5-6.8
Due to the tiny growth of this plant I haven't been keeping up to date with its diary. Photos have been taken throughout the process and I do plan on updating it eventually. I'm hoping that the quality of smoke turns my opinion around on this strain as I have had to turn to humor to deal with the absence of growth... But shes a perfect mini Christmas tree and boy does she smell good!!
Smallest plant I've ever seen, weed or not. I don't think I will be buying any more autoflowers after seeing how much more vigorously photoperiod tend to grow.
There was a lot of scissor hash from trimming this tiny plant so it appears to have a decent amount of resin production. The smells coming off her are very pungent with scents of mainly earthiness with almost ginger undertones. I am looking forward to smoking her but it will be gone before I know it.
These autos are really messing up my gram/watt 😜 at least she had a nice Christmas tree shape due to my inability to train her.. O' Christmas Nug
