Ladies are doing well this week they were getting too bushy so I defoliated and adjust the light up a little bit. Transplanted the last baby into its final 5gal using happy frog soil.
The ladies really took off this week I started feeding them the nutrients this week the happy frog took them along for awhile though. At the beginning of the week I defoliated the three bigger plants and topped the plant I started later. All have bounced back well from the defoliation and topping except for one that I defoliated seemed to take a few days longer than the other girls to heal. One thing I have learned This week is I might want to look into a bigger tent. (Mental note 2-3 plants max in a 2x4 tent)
This week I changed up my nutrient feeding as I figured out that I read the bottle wrong and was not adding enough food. I adjusted the feeding and the girls took off. the girl that I planted a week later than the rest and topped has now passed one of the original that I planted. Since it was my first grow I wasn't sure about topping but the plant the one I topped ended up growing in a much better uniform plant. I have noticed the leaves don't get as big on the topped plant and I really haven't had to defoliate. The plants that I just defoliated are doing well and finally started to get some height.Seeing as I am running out of tent room this is their last week in veg. My 6" vivosun inline fan started to make a horrible noise so I replaced it with an ac infinity much quiter. The vivo sun pushed alot of air and was semi quiet when I first got it but that only lasted two months.
Its been a good week they are smelling pretty strong already. Switched to early bloom feeding. They started to stretch pretty good this week and, were taking up water quicker than i realized so I topped the pots off with some extra soil and started to water heavier they are thirsty.
As far as I can tell they look good but being as its my first time I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. Did a pretty heavy defoliation in the beginning of the week as the tent was just getting way to crowded. By the end of the week the tent is filled again not sure how much more to remove. Some of the stems are getting purple so I upped the cal mag amount since I use ro water.
Did a another round of defoliation this week there just wast enough light getting through. Have upped my flowering nutes this week to see how they react so far so good.
The flowers seem to be filling in nicely. I have been feeding every other watering keeping the ph at 6.5. Not sure when to start flushing since these are the fast version keeping an eye on the trichomes.
The ladies have been fattening up quite a bit this week. They got their last round of nutrients and will be doing a flush and ph water util harvest. The smell coming from these things is potent and the buds are covered with sticky goodness. Carbon filter seems to have worn out already as the smell coming through the fan is quite strong now.
I decided to wait to flush so this was my last week for nutrients and am flushing till the trichomes are ready. I get the pungent cheese smell and a nice sweet lemony smell.
The last week of flower the ladies have been doing nicely the colas are getting heavy and had to use some bamboo stakes to hold things in place. had a branch break on me so I snipped it for a tester It was super delicious tasting. They went into flushing finally which started to bring out their fall colors.
This was my very first grow and it went pretty well nothing died and the weed tastes and looks good. For me it is more of a daytime high as it gives me energy. Just don't medicate too much or else you keep forgetting what your doing.
