I'm really happy with the Northern Light's progress. The buds are all shaping up nicely and I notice new growth every day. She's starting to look like a winter wonderland lol.
I will definitely be following your diary because I've been curious about this auto from Crop King for some time now.I myself am growing one of their strains right now & intend on ordering from them again.
@Squirrel_Master, Thanks I'm going to be harvesting them soon & I'll let u know if its some good smoke.$40 is a really good deal compared to those online prices & shipping cost.
Thanks @DaGrowQueen, I've been keeping an eye on your Sour Jack diary. They are looking good!
I'm happy with my CKS experience so far. I got all three of my CKS strains from a local store, they brought them in and just couldn't seem to sell them. In turn the owner started discounting them, I got mine for $40 per 5pk.
@Squirrel_Master, Yea me either. I’d imagine all prize sponsors are spending time with there families! I also noticed Mephistos shop is closed until January.
@Squirrel_Master, Same if it’s the ones listed I’d like creme de la chem, cosmic queen, and of course sour livers! Yea super excited to add it all. Hopefully it’s discreet shipping
On a real note I just picked up some terpinator. Recommend that later in flower or the whole entire flowering time? Noticing people using it late, early, or all through out.
@Squirrel_Master,Awesome I can’t wait to find out for myself. Also noticed House and Garden released a whole line of nutrients (probably didn’t just release it, I’m just noticing it) and picked up some Algen extract. I’m a big fan of loving on those roots early. Makes for a better harvest. Thanks for the help. I’ll be following!
@TeflonDonFarms, I use it through most of my grow. Low doses (5ml/g) starting around week3-4 and I ramp it up to around 30ml/g by the end of the grow. Really makes a difference in taste!
@Squirrel_Master, I understand it’s just that you not giving her a lot of time to consume the leftover nutriment so sometime it makes your weed not taste as good as it could A good guide that your plant doesn’t have any more nutriment to feed on is by DN lots of her leaf will turn yellow
@Tonino, I actually ended up feeding her again... I'll flush it on Thursday and take it down over the weekend. I'm really trying to let her go as long as possible to bulk up a bit more.
Grats on the top 10 SM! Well deserved. Thanks for the insight on Terpinator aswell I will be using it on my next Grow this summer. 👍🏻😎👊🏻✌️
My CKS NL are just flushing now. The buds look very similar to these on your plant. Which is great because your harvest looks great.
I used AN's Bud Candy but definitely will give Terpinator a try next round.
Thanks @JusGrowIt88, Terpinator is definitely worth a shot! I used up my first litre of it and went back and bought a gallon. It will always be in my arsenal from now on. I wish I could offer a comparison between it and Bud Candy for you... Looks like you'll have to let me know after you have done a grow or two with it what your opinion is.
Looks awesome! I just weighted my CKS NL Auto yesterday and was 316g wet (with stems) and 58 try and after a second trim job. Congrats on yours. Now I am wondering if I over dried mine... I moved it curing jars now.
Yes, I am giving them at 75% of GH recommendation (~600 PPM).
Yes I've read that about topping, but it was just sooooo tempting. BUT I've also read that stunting them doesn't slow their clock. I seem to disbelieve that though. I had one which I broke the tap root. I figured it was a goner but I kept babying it along and it was only planted two weeks after the ones in my journal yet it hasn't even pre-flowered yet. It's only 9 inches as it had such a slow start.
I was definitely over thinking things on these two as I self diagnosed them with every ailment under the sun trying to watch them too much, but I understand most new growers do this! ;)
Interesting, I've only got maybe 10% of my pistils starting to brown and I am currently on day 74. My trichomes are cloudy I think... First time and all. I am still hopeful for at-least an ounce per plant. Being my first grow I have no idea what an ounce looks like on a plant! LOL
@Madge, I'm starting to get better with the diagnosing, but I was the same way for sure... overthinking everything. With coco it all revolves around watering to the point of 20% runoff every time, taking it easy on the nutrients and keeping the pH at the roots in check. Not doing those three things was causing every problem I ever had.
Sizing up your yield by looking at your plant is a whole other art form lol, it's a game here on GD.. lol, the guess the dry weight game. My auto's produced between 2-4 oz per plant on average.
Looking great squirrel, I am also growing CKS NL Autos and am a few weeks ahead of you. I topped them once and "over-babied" them causing a few issues which I have no idea if it hurt them yet as i'm not sure what they will produce as it is my first grow. I noticed yours are much taller than mine which are only 19"
Thanks @Madge, I've read you should not top autos. With such a fast life cycle the stress of topping usually robs you of precious time while the plant is in shock. I like to let mine go as natural as possible. Also, autos need less nutrients than photoperiod strains, so take it easy with them.
I'm not sure if mine will make it a couple more weeks? It's just at nine weeks now and it seems to be maturing really fast. I already have about 30% brown pistils and nice milky trichs. Not sure what to expect.
I had the typical over water / under water, lights too close, gnat battle (not that bad though), stressing them with topping when I shouldn't have, and even one I never figured out until I started the second set of seeds and did the exact same thing. I tried to foliar spray bug-b-gon to try to get rid of the gnats and didn't know it at the time but my mix was WAY too strong and then all my leaves went dark green but I never attributed it to the spray and applied it like three times. Live and learn! ;)
Yes, I can see the game, but I feel so disadvantaged... My daughter took a look in the room tonight and her guess was 1.5 ounces per plant.
