Soaked this little O13 for about 48 hours until she cracked then she was placed in a rockwool cube that was prepared by soaking overnight in pH 6 RO water. I put them on a bed of moist perlite to help balance the moisture in the rockwool. She will be transferred to a dutch bucket when she is ready. Will update photos when she breaks the surface which will mark day 1. Very excited that fastbuds is working on bringing us some old school strains!
UPDATE: 5 days from the initial soak this girl is up and ready to grow. I built a compact 2 plant dutch bucket system. I needed something that didn't take up a lot of space and can be easily moved so the (2) 2.5 gallon buckets sit on top of their 17 gallon reservoir. Using an aquarium powerhead to pump nutrients 24 hours a day. A small air pump keeps the reservoir oxygenated. Buckets are lined with 120 micron paint strainers and filled with 100% perlite like always. Drain is set a little above the bottom of the buckets so they always have a little reserve water in case of pump or power issues. I will run the system for 24 hours to make sure ph is stable then this little beauty will be planted. The FBTO13 will run next to a FBTO1.
Day 4 she is looking happy and healthy. Started them on a little maxigro
Day 7 she is growing steady. Looking happy
Getting into week 2 and she is looking pretty good. Hoping to see a growth spurt before the end of the week. Started them on a little maxigro. Going to add a little humic acid and armor si at the beginning of week 3. She is still under a 23w 6500k cfl for now. Will be putting her under a galaxyhydro 1000 in a couple days.
Day 14 did first water change.
Nutrients per gallon
.5 tsp maxigro
.25 tsp armor si
.25 tsp calimagic
Ph to 6.0
This girl is small for day 21 but looking healthy. I think lack of air flow may be slowing them down so I added a fan. I was going to just do a little lst on these testers but I have never grown a plant without topping it so on day 15 I couldn't resist and topped her.
Nutrients per gallon
.5 tsp maxigro
.25 tsp calimagic
.25 tsp armor si
Ph to 6
Pumping nutrients 24/7
Under a galaxyhydro 1000
This one is still pretty small for her age but she is looking happy. Gave her a flush and fresh nutrients. I think she will branch out more in the next couple weeks before flowering.
Nutrients per gallon
.5 tsp maxigro
.25 tsp armor si
.25 tsp calimagic
Ph to 6.0
I had to kill one of my photoperiod plants because it was hermie so I decided to move the FBTO1 and FBTO13 into the room with them since I had space in there. So now they are on 12 hour light and they seem to be much happier with the environment. This will be my first time flowering autos on 12 hours so curious to see how they do.
Nutrients per gallon
.5 tsp maxigro
.25 tsp armor si
.25 tsp calimagic
.1 tsp 90/10 humic/fulvic acid
The ol lucky 13 is hanging in there. Doing her thing. She is smaller than the FBTO1 but looking healthy. She is starting to show signs of transitioning to flower. Hope to see a little stretch on her over the next week. I have been plucking some leaves from the top to get light to as many buds as possible. Also cleaned up a few lower branches that were never going to make it to the top. Going to keep plucking a few here and there as she stretches. I totally neglected their water running it 2 weeks without checking it, but I kept an eye on the leaves and there were no issues. I gave them a flush and fresh nutrients today. Started them on a little maxibloom. Will probably start some liquid Koolbloom next week. She is under a galaxyhydro 140 watt but there is 1000 watts total led running in the room so she is getting some extra light from those.
Nutrients per gallon
.5 tsp maxigro
.25 tsp maxibloom
.5 tsp calimagic
Ph to 6.0
I doubt this little lucky 13 is feeling very lucky right now. She is crammed between 2 bigger plants and she is pretty slow to transition to flower. She is looking healthy though. I cleaned up some of her lower branches to get her as much air flow as possible. Been plucking some top leaves to get light deeper into the canopy. Currently brainstorming some ways to get her some more space without a lot of effort.....
Was excited to find out that the FBTO13 is the white widow. Fastbuds has some awesome strains in their Original line that is soon to be released. Check them out on their website is you haven't already! This widow is about done stretching and starting to build some buds. She is still pretty crammed in her little space but I should be able to get her some more room in about a week. I upped the maxibloom a little.
I was finally able to get this girl a little room to breathe. She has been pretty crammed so grew up instead of spreading out. She shot up over a ft this week. I decided to do some supercropping on her to spread her branches out and even the canopy up a bit. I also started defoliation and cleaned up some of the bottom branches. She will get a little more work over the next week. She was really slow to transition to flower and I think she has a little more stretching to do. Going to change her reservoir and give her some more bloom nutrients in a couple days.
This plant has so many branches that It is hard to count how many tops she has. She is looking a little hungry but I am in the process of giving her a flush and hooking her up to my photoperiod plant reservoir now. She put on a pretty big stretch for a white widow but I guess the ruderalis changes the game when it comes to that. She is doing her thing building some. Just going to monitor her after she is hooked up to the other reservoir and see how she does over the next few days.
Started seeing some signs of nitrogen deficiency early in the week so I unhooked her from the reservoir and hand watered her with a couple doses of maxigro. The yellowing immediately stopped spreading so I hooked her back up and she seems a lot happier now. Feeding autos and photos on the same system has definitely been a challenge and not something I will do again. But regardless this plant is building up some nice buds. Doubt I will get her to her full potential but looks like she will produce some nice nugz.
This widow is doing well. Her buds are starting to frost up pretty nice. Not seeing any signs of her getting close so probably has at least a couple weeks to go before flushing.
