This week has been great for the grow tent now that flowering has begun, i've noticed pistils on the SECOND day of flowering and it's shown me that these plants are eager to grow as much as fast and tall as possible. I've also upgraded the dehumidifier to a much much better one since the first one i had was a budget friendly one, which sort of did not really work as well and doesn't have humidity control like the new one, although it was hard to find a dehumidifier that was small enough with features that could help with keeping the grow tent under control when i'm not around, this one did the job enough and kept the humidity from going from 70+ and kept it to around 50-ish, which was good enough. I wish the humidity was under 50% but hopefully the silicate nutrients i've fed it throughout their life and strains genetics will keep it from growing slower and prevent it from growing mold, i'm confident the grow will have no problems since i've not only avoided much of the issues (aside from some yellowing on the new leaves prior to flowering) so lets hope for the best as this coming week will help produce some nice young buds.
I've defoliated and removed some stems as well as lollipopped it as soon as it started to flower so it should help with keeping the rH under control and tried to prevent the water run off to flood on the bottom too much so these weeks after veg will be important for the flowering stretch up until the third week of flowering so I will be leaving these plants alone won't be removing anymore leaves until the third week where I will be selective defoliating some fan leaves that are covering bud sites keeping the canopy as exposed to light as possible, after that I will be lowering their nutrient feeding again and probably only do ph balanced water to feed them in between nutrient feedings depending on how fast its growing, but I doubt it since this strain seems very resilient to nutrient toxicities. More on next week!
Congrats on the successful harvest. Those are some beautiful buds. Been sitting on a few packs of these but after seeing this I may need to bust them open. Nice work my friend.
Hello my friend I have a question what week did your gelat OG plants start producing trichomes? I’m currently in flower week 4 and I have NO trichromatic production
@Gutismoke102, Hello buddy, sorry i took too long to respond, i'm starting a new grow this year and just logged in after a long time. You should start to get trichome production around that week if not later, if not then I suggest giving your plant more bloom nutrients to speed up flower maturity, best of luck!
@JohnnyLong, thanks for the heads up but theres no option to list a switch to 12/12 as a technique, yet oddly I can list it on a separate week log, so thats what it means..
