1. GSC is hopefully done stretching. I trained her, using the netting, until buds formed. Now I'm just letting her do her thing.
2. I spent some time defoliating the under canopy this week. I still have more to do, but I don't want to stress her out too much.
3. There is no change in my feeding schedule. She is fed/watered about every other day. I check the soil prior to watering so I don't over-water at this stage. I will increase the strength of her flowering nutes in about 2 weeks based on the instructions from Remo.
4. I'm really liking this Seedsman strain! It's been a very robust, dependable plant.
Looking great! Won't be long now!
I got a pair of these as freebies, but they were stolen from me...makes me sad seeing how lovely they can turn out...๐ฉ
@Silverback_Guerilla, Amnesia Auto was my only auto grow from them so far. I just started a Jack Herrer Fast photo from them. I'm looking forward to that. I'd like to grow more of their strains, but getting orders through Customs is a pain.
๐๐ while it was growing!
@Quexos, Ya, same here..they have never disappointed me. I especially like their Amnesia Auto....delicious with a very heady buzz. I blew it with a Gelat.OG I grew outdoors, but it was very vigorous.. while it was growing.
@Silverback_Guerilla, Thanks! I actually ordered these. The freebies were the Black Sugar. This will be the 3rd strain I've grown from Seedsman. I really like their strains.
Interesting training technique with the compass rose pattern. Did you pick that up somewhere or something you came up with? Also those branches are looking thick for week 5! Wonder if clipping those early fan leaves helped with that? Awesome stuff, will follow along.
@Mad_at_sun, I like photos in general for that reason. I have a photo and auto tent. I enjoy the photo tent because I like to mess with my plants all the time. I like the auto tent, but it isn't nearly as hands on. I'll be able to use the net, but unless I move the plants closer to the net, it won't work as I had envisioned.
@Quexos, using that training method does make a lot of sense with the cage but I think it will be suited for scrog as well. I've found that training my plants has been one of the more satisfying aspects of growing. Really enjoy seeing new methods put to the test. I say keep the net!
@Mad_at_sun, Thanks a lot. I can't really take credit like this is my idea. I combined a few ideas that were already floating around out there. Originally I was going to use the compass rose pattern with round tomato cages. But I built the netting and frame over the summer and thought I could use it in this grow. Live and learn. I think the stems are fat because of the serious LST I was doing on all of the nodes. I put a lot of daily stress on the nodes and branching. I've always trimmed off the top fan leaves like that. It really opens up the middle of the canopy and helps the lower branches catch up to the canopy.
@Blueboy2019, Thanks! I won't harvest for another 3-4 weeks. It's hard to tell yield right now. The buds should start really swelling in the next 2 weeks.
@Blueboy2019, Of the 5 strains/plants I harvested in the last 6 months, she is the most aromatic. She also has the best flavor right out of the drying box. On top of that she is the highest yielding photo I've grown. I'm glad I have 2 more beans.
it's very interesting to watch your diary. I wish you a huge harvest of buds.
What do you prefer to use a Bong or a joint. 4-20 Bro.
subscribed and watching your grow.๐
@EZgrower, Thanks. I hope interesting means entertaining or informative and not WTF is he doing! And to answer your question...both. I'm an old guy though so I do like twisting one up and sitting in the backyard.
