Welcome to my first multi-strain diary! I've brought two seeds to life to join the White Widow clones. An Original Skunk and a Grandaddy Purple. Both feminized.
WW
Both of these girls are hurting. The plants are turning yellow and there is no sign of growth upward. However there are roots coming out the bottom of both pots. I'll be bring a light dose of nutrients back into the picture for the coming week. See if they're just hungry?
Skunk and GDP
Sprouted in 2 days inside humidity dome. Misted twice daily until surface saturated. Temperature around 81° with RH at 60%+. The Skunk looks slightly beefier than her cousin. Both are about an inch tall at the end of one week.
These babies have been stunting in the background for the last month. Finally they appear to have started to gain ground. All bigger leaves wilted and became necrotic. I topped them so there's a bit less foliage to worry about. Things were looking pretty sad until putting a big freezer bag as a makeshift humidity dome. Works great. This will be my first go with some clones!
No real progress for these ladies. They appear to have no real problems except for the slow take off. I've given a dose of nutrients after a re-pot. There were some decent tap roots coming out the bottom of both pots. One girl had a really rough transfer. I won't grow in terracotta or plastic pots again. Switched to fibre pots for now and will move to small bags once some upward growth starts happening. New light will be arriving this week so I'll be able to move the clones into their vegetation home.
These ladies are kind of sorry looking. I think the nutrients really hurt them. Might be suffering from low humidity from when I first brought them into the new tent. Tried 24 hours without a humidity dome and paid for it. One of my Mondi tray domes has vents, one does not. Temps were in the high 80s until switching to the vented model. I've got er down to 80° for now. When they can handle lower R.H. I will pop the dome off and try and get closer to 75°. Being under the big light may also be a bit of a shock. Also the rough transplant from last week probably didn't help. Rocky start, but now that they're in a solid environment I'm hopeful they'll perk up.
Ps. Going to pop two seeds to see if they overtake these clones.
WW
Looks like these girls might pull through! Getting them on a good water schedule now that they're in the tent in a humidity tray. Leafs look to be perking up and getting green again.
Skunk and GDP
Still small but I know they're just getting some roots established before they aim upwards. They've been getting a decent misting twice daily. Once some real leafs pop out I'll get a bit heavier with the water. Lid staying on the humidity dome until the plants outgrow it.
WW
Topped the right plant to stop her from reaching too much. The same plant looks a little rusty. These ladies are about to move out of the humidity dome into 1 gallon pots.
Skunk and GDP
Roots are coming out the bottom of the pots now. Upward growth is going. Moving into 1 gallon pots with the WW clones this week. Might finish all these girls in 3 gallon pots and see what I can do under the ES180 with these strains.
Transplant sucked from the cardboard pots. Roots were stuck through and to the pots everywhere. Had to rip and cut most of the pots off of the roots. All survived the process but are taking some time adjusting to the new homes. Looks like the smaller plants are slightly overwatered but I think it's mostly stress? I need some different pot lifters as my upside-down grow trays make it hard to remove any runoff. Humidity may also be an issue as I'm trying to keep the other tent low while it has a massive plant flowering and these ladies would love to be in a higher R.H. Things'll turn up soon!
Ppm are rising to shocking levels. Must dilute or give regular h2o. Maybe both. Plants seem to be adjusted from the transplant and are going up again. I might just send all these ladies into flower in a couple of weeks. Maybe top the little girls when I'm done writing this?
WW
Looking deficient. Better after a dose of nutrients. On top of the watering schedule now. Lots of leaders for the switch to bloom.
Skunk
Beefy structure on this girl. Fan leafs are large and in charge. Not going to top this plant at all. See if I can get a massive cola.
GDP
Looks overwatered but seems to be drying out at the same time as the other plants. Also not going to top.
