I think the go to for organic growing outdoor. Biocanna always has the plants looking healthy and vibrant, and plants give off a beautiful pungent smell also
The Jack is a beautiful finisher. It always seemed like it was a bit behind, until the last 3 weeks where the changes accelerated, as did the smell and the thickness and density of the buds and branches. It is not a very branchy plant and is easy to maintain. Jack has a definite hashy smell when cleaning it up, and delivers dense buds rich in flame red hairs. Nice tight nugs when dried, even the smaller ones have good density. It’s curing now but I had to sneak a little trial,, really nice taste already, gives an instant dry mouth and definitely sorts you out.
Update - smoke report after full cure. There is a lot online about Jack Herer, who has the best version or who has the closest to the original. I have not tried any other breeders versions so I can’t comment for them. For me, the Greenhouse Seeds Jack is simply top shelf. The effect is strong and long lasting. It is ideal for relaxing with a game on the ipad or sitting on the couch with the guitar. I feel like I still want to do things rather than just sink into the couch. But for me the highlight of Jack is the flavour. It is sublime. I love rolling a big joint and savouring that awesome flavour and smell. Goes really well with a ginger drink or ice water on a hot day. To me, the most lovely tasting smoke I have ever tried and my absolute favourite in 20 years of smoking.
I will take some valuable lessons from this grow, and definitely have another crack at the Jack in the future
Hi,
I believe we are in the same area. Have you notice these tiny black bugs that can fly. They look like beatles. My plant look fine. I used Eco Oil from bunnines. But the little bastartds keep coming back at night.
@Shooey, thanks. I will consider repotting. Issue is my plant is so big now in veg state 1 meter. LOL. They are not doing damage, i look everywhere. But they are annoying the hell out of me. Plus side, I see lady bugs running around on the plant. So i guess they are keeping them under control. Seen 3 lady bugs and a few smaller ones.
@Med_in_Tropic,thanks med as always. I had a search of this product. It looks really good, an organic fungus which infects insects. I might try and find some as I have small grasshoppers in the herb garden and wasn’t sure what to try, this looks ideal. Much appreciated med👍
@Shooey, I also use soil microbes that infect insects. The scientific name is Beauvaria bassiana. Brand name varies from one region to another. Basically mix with water and douse the soil with it. For thrips, aphids, and mites you will need to spray.
Cheers guys
@Shooey, safety first. I agree.
But about cloning, it is easy. Cut lower branches. Stick in soil. Cover with clear plastic cup or bottles for a couple of weeks. 2/3 of the branches would survive.
Much easier than other plants. Really, the only thing that I find easy about growing weed.
I still grow from seeds because I am still new at this. And I want to try different strains.
Cheers
@Med_in_Tropic, hi Med,, no I have not tried this yet. I don’t know much about how this is done but it is a good topic for future research and trial. I’m in Australia so I am trying to keep a maximum of 2 grows at any one time. Although it’s not legal where I am, we have just made it legal in Canberra, so I figure if things go bad (cops) I may be able to argue “personal use” more easily. This is my fist go at growing so I’m still a bit paranoid about getting sprung,,,, all the best bro
