Soaked seed for 12hrs in water. Paper towel method for 24 hours til a 1" taproot. Transplanted to final destination.
Mars Hydro TS1000 full coco with fish tank rocks on top to help keep down gnats.
I was drowning her with 2x daily fertigation and by day 4 she stunted. I stopped all feed/water and popped on humidity dome. Day 6 some signs of progress. Started 1x daily fertigation back on Day 7. Will switch to week 2 nutes tomorrow on Day 10.
What a recovery! After a long "week" 1 which was touch and go this baby is strong. I LSTd her last night. She looks picture perfect, leaves are great. Very happy right now.
I topped her on day 20. She responded beautifully - exploding with height and growth. She's got an airyness about her, almost wispy. Her leaves move so easily.
I exfoliated her after topping to ensure good light/air flow.
Battling a cold snap this week.
I am so impressed with this plant. Based on some reddit feedback I'm going to call it Double Sour Bubble Guts - like a gum flavor lol.
The diamond nectar is definitely making a huge difference. She doubled in height this week and she has over a dozen beautiful ready preflower sites. I've pulled some stalks down with LST to even the canopy some. I really don't want to throw up a screen, but it would probably help....
This plant is going to be a monster! She is so tall and has so many strong sites. The flowers are already filling in along the stalks. This is a joy to grow.
What a breeze this plant is! I am a heavy defoliator, this week I barely touched this girl at all and I didn't pluck a single leaf. The daily shots are not just similar, you can see (because she has such perfectly sparse leaves) that the same leaves are in the same spots in the shot so you can really tell differences between photos.
I am not good at "what does this smell like". She is starting to put out a pungent smell. I think it has a lemony aroma. And like...a sugar or sweet airy smell.
This plant makes me feel like I've hit my stride as a grower. I gave the first plant an A name, 2nd was Baby. 3rd girl is Cherry. This was going to be Diamond. However, after reviewing the 2019 Mephisto strain guide and seeing this phrase, I can't stop thinking about it when I look at my girl. So, this is Donkey Dicks. She's doing great. I give her a solid 2 thumbs up.
What can I say, this plant is a dream. Her colas are filling in, hairs are darkening. She's taking a little less water per fertigation this week. She's tall and proud and just trucking along real nice. I love her.
So...apparently I'm feeding nutes at 4x strength (serious note to buy a good syringe, can't scrimp on any supplies)
This plant is amazing. She brings me such joy. The smell is difficult to describe. Has a citrusy and candy aroma.
The buds are light colored and covered in orange and white pistils and a dense coat of frost.
What a dream.
So many yellowing leaves this week. At first I thought it was natural end of life cycle, using up nutrients. Now I'm getting nervous. After they yellow they get all wilty. Should I be trimming them off?
I haven't trimmed this girl or done anything to her in weeks. Easiest plant ever. And she's YUGE. I go look at her sometimes just to cheer up.
So sticky. So pungent.
Such a strong sour smell. I harvested at 5% amber and it is a uppy euphoric high that keeps me going. One hit and I'm flying. The plant was amazing to grow: strong, resistant and the smell was LOUD AS FUCK.
So so dense!
This is is folx. It took 10 months, hundreds of dollars and 4 plants to get here, but this is what it was all for. I stole buds off the drying rack and still managed to jar up a solid QP. 8 jars with boveda 62 packs hitting my closet this morning.
Next grow will feature an upgrade to a tent!
I've learned so much on this journey. Thank you everyone for following along. Thank you Mephisto for the awesome freebie cross. Shout out to RQS and growweedeasy for all the solid advice. I feel like a real farmer now.
@GalaxyToteBabe, I threw one in shes 64 days old today 99% of buds are about two golf balls in size. On this girl I might get a faint hint of lemony smell but the in your face smell is just dank(wow). I dont have any amber trics so I am aiming for 3 more weeks . How was the smoke since Im guessing its been cured a bit?
thank you - I usually can't pinpoint what I think they smell like (they smell like weed...) but this girl man. She has a lemon-y sweet smell that is just intoxicating.
@GalaxyToteBabe, I agree it's a total science, but white ash isn't the only tell tale sign of having no chems in your product. For example. tobacco has how many harmful chemicals in it, yet burns a clean white ash (paper also helps) with no crackle or pop in your pack of 25. Plants need food, yes, but loading them up right until the end is for sure going to guarantee you have leftover nutrients that you are going to smoke. It may not have any taste or pop based on "designer" nutrients, but that's a risk you have to take. In all my grows so far, I create a rich soil mixture and feed spring water the entire grow from veg to flowering and I've turned out amazing buds...completely organic. Allow the plant to suck up the nutrients in the soil on it's own pace...as nature progresses through the flowering cycle, the substrate goes in the soil and the buds start to fatten out and the leaves go yellow (like you mentioned)..this is completely natural. Overall, great grow! 👌
@Blueboy2019, nope. Its total bro science. There's a scientific article out there which shows that. Plants need food. Right up until through the end. I get white ash. There's no sparking or chemical smell. That's *ALL* bro science.
Take a look at my latest pics... I hold the loop directly to my phone case, leaving a mm or two of a gap between the camera and the loupe. Focuses well and takes great shots! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
