Seed germinated straight into soil under blurple veg light. Set up a new 2x2 germination tent. Used my original light buying mistake a blurple as a seedling light. Dropped seed straight into soil under a cut water bottle for humidity dome. 3 days later little head was poking up out of the dirt. This is part of a 5 strain indica grow.
Both seeds popped up in just a couple of days. I'm hoping to get one male and one female. The female will be grown out to harvest. The male will be used for a TxCanna Breeding project. I've got a mother plant from my Purple Reign run I have cut a couple clones from. If I can get a THC Bomb male I plan on crossing it with Purple Reign. Just lightly watering seedlings in an invisible circle around stem so not to cause rot. Both are looking great can't wait to see how they grow up. No nutrients yet, the Coco Loco will feed them for first couple of weeks.
We're in week 2 of flower and the THC Bomb is looking fantastic. Vigorous green growth, large healthy fan leaves and good bud formation. I originally dropped these seeds in hopes to get a male to breed with my PR. Well as fate would have it there female lol. So I made them comfortable and started them on flower nutes. Just top dressing with Happy Frog Fertilizers and watering ph'd from 6.5-6.8. even though I was a bit disappointed I didn't get a male I'm excited to run this strain as I'm a big fan.
I'm hoping for big things from these 2 plants. The bigger of the 2 started first is obviously a female. She's fully transitioned into flower. Bud development is I'm full force. As soon as this thing started pushing pistols it developed a very skunky and stinky aroma. Gonna be a real stinker. For a hybrid it seems to have taken on a more indica look in leave development and size. Vertical stretch has slowed way down and it seems to be focusing on bud development. Did some defoliation for air flow, I also had some bigger leaves covering whole colas. So what I couldn't tuck under I removed. Showed signs of calmag deficiency, so I added calmag to last two waterings. New growth looks much better. This run is in 4x4x6.5 tent, under the Phlizon Cree Cob 3000w light. Actual power draw is 680w. Fair warning this light puts off some serious light coverage but comes with some heat. Running 6" fan on exhaust with a 4" turned all way up pulling in some fresh air. Also running two regular fans for air movement in tent. One fan I've got pointing straight at the light to try and battle some of the heat. The smaller of the two I went ahead and moved into the flower tent with a clone from my Purple Reign mother plant in hopes it's a male for breeding.
Ending week 2 of flower and everything is looking good again. Old growth still looks like hell but the new growth looks very healthy. The cal-mag in the watering seems to be working on the problem. THC Bomb is a very hardy strain. Grows in a Christmas tree like shape. I did not do any training to this plant just let her grow natural to get a good look at her. I have a male I'm waiting to drop pollen. It actually worked out well having one fully in flower at same time as breeding. Getting bred with Purple Reign clone I cut several weeks back.
Just look at that main cola!!! She is Frosty AF and stanky already. Has a skunky aroma not sweet like it's roommate Bruce Banger. Fan leaves show that of a hybrid, not as thin as a sativa but still pointy and long. Buds are fattening, nodes look nice there very swollen right at stem. A trait carried through the genetics as the male I used to cross with also had very big nodes and fat stalk. Traits I definitely want in my crossbreed. Watered with a compost tea, top dressed with fruit and flower.
